Forcing Myself To Clean

Promised myself I could paint for two hours
Before I would force myself to clean an hour
I painted for two hours, then the alarm went off.
I cleaned for twenty-six minutes
It seemed like twenty-six days
I have spent the past forty minutes writing poems.
I am so glad this was cleaning time, not painting time.
