Pareidolia

It was all about a grim,
Foggy, smoggy, old Thursday night
In Hithergreen,
London’s belching south,
Below Europe’s icy, dark trees and
In the silence of grieving mornings . . .
Bulbous clouds bleeding with strained oomph
Would stir the ingravescence of patented ills.
The trains always come railing!
Railing loud and silly
Like heathen bandits with no shame.
But before such mornings,
A half-distilled liquored, low-brewed
Evening caused me tears
When I chopped onions.
A spruced up harlot was coming to dinner
By the way!
Oh, yes, from London’s bleached Soho,
Venue for awesome sex.
I may have forgotten to tell you, brother,
But through the insistence on cutting further deep,
There it stood!
Ilse Koch!
An old character!
She piled up arms against ashen flesh,
Fomenting tears to rain down on the faces of many.
And with each stare,
I asked for permission to be laconic
Just to preserve the dews
Of the heated stove near the chimney of an
Age-battered window of a grey, frazzled winter night.

Chaucerian Acrostic

Can anyone accuse you of pretence?
Are you inflicting pain for pain’s own sake?
So little can be said in your defence –
Unless you have some argument to make,
Apart from spitting venom like a snake.
Less culpable than you are snakes, I swear:
They do their damage, blithely unaware.

You knew precisely when, and where, and whence –
Or if you’d rather, planned the steps to take,
Fomenting consciously this pestilence –
You find my words too grand? You’ve got brain-ache?
Okay, let’s say you knew which bough to shake.
Unmitigated mayhem, deep despair
Results in calm. Today, there’s nothing there.

Considered as a love, it was immense.
Regarded as a person, you’re a fake.
Unusually, passionate, intense?
Exactly. So much bitterer the break.
Love blinded me. The thing was my mistake.
The fault was yours, of course. But, to be fair,
You’re not a psychopath. You just don’t care.

The Wasteland

The pendulum swings wider
both right and then left
Those things that divide us
fomenting unrest
The wasteland between
what was once common ground
A minefield of mutual exclusion
— profound

Answer the Cries

What is our answer
to the cries, the tears,
for those who've fallen.

Echoed wails,
speak the tales,
of carnage and destruction.

Seek a truth,
from shattered lives,
and that, to quell the anger?

Histories tilt,
wars broken trail,
the insanity, prevails!

Black and blue, filthy skies,
smoldering clouds of death,
shall in time, dissipate,
as soldiers draw last breath.

Conflict reins, seems our fate,
no answer for the cries.
Peace on earth, can't arrive,
while, fomenting hate!

death cannot endure eternity ~ if it could we’d never be born
                                 (quote by poet)

Find rhapsody, great rhapsody, fomenting on high seas
Come lift up waves of despondency, I’m flailing so deep
Bamboozle revenant senses, restore my latent zeal
Overwhelm one million fold, melancholy drowning me

Find ecstasy, give ecstasy, paralyse me with bliss
I’m hooked on saline solution, and compelled to resist
               Rejuvenate exuberance, nullify emptiness
I want to be possessed again, in a wild wanton kiss

Find buoyancy, come buoyancy, aerate this lowly soul
Raise me up to the firmament, let heaven take control
I’ll face down blackest ether, see beyond its parasol
Never again to sit stagnant, just to bow shall I stall

Find gravity, sheer gravity, falls short on temple steps
Pressurising in nature, stopped dead in a gods codex
Free now to bathe in mercy, overcome but not by depth
Expanding on forever, where beginnings intersect

Premium MemberI Dance With Shadows - Yclept Sonnet

When dappled shadows flit through darkened backstreets,
and whispers rendezvous with one another,
the usual bright spirits take a backseat.
They nurture remnants of rebounds which smother.
When cadence of sweet trilling of dawn chorus
unwelcome thief: give dream a few more seconds.
Deceit of sun when rays are merely porous,
its loving embrace reaches out and beckons.

Fomenting trouble ‘gainst my better judgement;
tormented by unbidden thoughts of moments.

The unexamined life is not worth living –
fulfilment’s in the act of freely giving.

Inspiration that’s echoed in poetry,
I dance with shadows in this vibrant city.

I may be pilloried, tarred, and feathered
Let me say how America has weathered
The onslaught of divisive ne’er-do-wells
[Many of whom are now in prison cells],
The good people in this country stand up
Refusing to drink from a fomenting cup
Choosing to stand with those of integrity
Not with a disgruntled, angry minority,
Who would tear down our Democracy
And attempt to replace it with autocracy,
While setting up one pointy-headed fool
To take over our government and rule,
While lying and stealing from good people
Who loathe him, unlike his poor sheeple.
Patriotic Americans stand tall and proud
Avoid fools like this for cryin’ out loud!

Fomenting Things
David J Walker

I want to believe
In often thought
     things
offered in unofficial
     nothings
unexpected returned
     things
in unrevealed word
     things
unfiltered sun
     things
 that day brings
as bright as light night
     things
mood gel in water colored
                    RED
      things
with white wings
unrecognized
     things
the eye
     things
and nose rings
denied
     things
and whatever we believed
	tomorrow
                     brings

Drums and Bugles

Good governance,
the enemy of government
States rights,
oxymoronic at best
What works,
the bane of impostors
Who exist
to feather their nests

Revolution
 is quickly fomenting
Change only
at the point of a gun
Voices from Concord
heard calling
With freedom not given
but won

Critical Race Theory has been around for a long time,
Taught in college and university Departments of Sociology
Very obtuse and obscure, as far as academic theories go;
To understand it well requires a degree in anthropology,
Or, if you choose, Origins in Anthropology and Psychology.

It is a discipline, an academic tool, which outlines parameters
Within which one can begin to understand race bias and culture
And, systemic racism, to be sure; subjects needed to understand
Why deep divisions between the races fester and are nurtured
In America, where race issues hover us like a vicious vulture.

Like so many academic ideologies, i.e. the God Is Dead movement,
Critical Race Theory has been seized upon by conservatives as a
Cause celebre, with few of them understanding what it is all about,
And become a buzzword for racial unrest fomenting in the BLM,
While, actually, it is a theory for discussion in highest level academia.

Makeover

Making new clothes
Sewing chilies
Ironing out problems today
Tonight washing tears away
Cooking up a quarrel
Fomenting confusion
And building discord

Come and see how
Things can change
In a moment
When you concentrate
Bake up goodness
Except use goodwill
Strengthen your resolve
To love your brother
Still.

Premium MemberAmericans All

A country divided
Depressing but true
Leadership wanting
By both Red and Blue.

Faction's aplenty
Each shouting loud
The noise overwhelming
Fomenting the crowd.

Cities in uproar
Police under siege
Anarchists aiming
Our culture to breach.

The media ecstatic
With words to inflame
No boundaries or morals
As if playing a game.

Yet above all this din
A message breaks through
The need to treat others
As you'd like them treat you.

Neither color nor creed
Must poison our soul
Our aim be just one
To make our world whole.

Different indeed
In more ways than one
But Americans all
A freedom hard won.

Mein Kampf...Self Imprisoned Gulag

Onset of conception wrought significant

invisible, fissile, and congenital skull,
sans crossbones deathmark

psychic path head shrinking Reichsmark
financial reparation taxed this human bark
at peril of ark

covenant fomenting incruent
lacerating psychological ordeal
triggering mythological hound fierce bark
king Cerberus from Hades

bajillion times more
ferocious than a shark
oppressive teeth gnashing
jawbreaking, human prey stark

dead meat, bleak fin de siecle lifespan
razor sharp teeth trademark
death sentence worse
than totalitarian regime,

emasculating, defeating, crushing any spark
to muster livingsocial jackknifing
sole ambition waiting, Clark

thus letting me die non staining watermark

freeing relentless gravestone mark
piercing, sundering, and vitiating

exacerbated by infiltrated FARC
militia firearms at the ready,
where soul will peacefully park
amidst cognoscenti immune to snark!
