fabulous fanciful fantastical fairyland
frees the featherbrained feebleminded as much as it can
fleeting flighty flimsy flitting forever fireflies so grand
fragile frail fragrances frazzling a frantic flimflam man

Premium Member Flim Flam Freddy

flimflam Freddy, Frankenville’s only funeral director
actively sought out numbskulls, dimwits and nitwits
an expert in cajoling them into signing contracts
assuring them that their funerals would be exquisite
he verbally mentioned doves, orchestra, and magic shows
none of this was in the contract they signed
a contract that guaranteed nothing
a contract that assured him of unbelievable amounts of money
funerals that cost others six thousand,
cost these nimb-nuts twenty thousand
in teeny tiny print it mentioned that additional expenses might be incurred
and they were

Perspective Poem

Every math equation
Every sentence
I take the brunt of your taps
Every mistake
Every flimflam
I have to fix it
CRACK
I am once again dull…
Head first right into the machine
Where my face gets carved to your liking

But… that- that's fine.
I’d do it all again for you

Technology is making life one big scam,
The prizes they say I’ve won are all flimflam.

They’re on the truck needing info to deliver,
these daily emails make my skin shiver.

The prizes I’ve won are in various amounts,
I hear from Banks and have frozen accounts.

Banks need additional information to reopen,
they see an old geezer that they can rope in.

But age is no indicator of this man’s moxie,
and no I wouldn’t make another my proxy.

There is no truck with one turnip missing,
that I’ve fallen from so these I’m dismissing.

Every one I’ve helped has a hand out for more,
and often they’re so many I'm forced to ignore.

It looks like AI will be the biggest scam of all,
and government solutions do not enthrall.

Thank You For Your Servitude

The powers,
the powers 'that be'
wish to thank you
for your on-going servitude,
for your compliance,
conformity,
acquiescence,
gullibility,
subservience,
apathy,
disinterest,
inattention,
and your willful or blind ignorance.
We gratefully accept
your abject submission
as we strive to eradicate
all opposition
and discussion.
You are the very best of sheep,
the most loyal of lambs.
We applaud your
naiveté and lack of interest
in our secretive regime.
We keep your secrets
so you do not have to.
May you continue to serve us
as we
subject,
bamboozle,
hornswoggle,
flimflam,
demonize,
pander,
patronize,
denigrate,
dismiss,
disrespect,
defame.
derogate,
discount,
dishonor,
disparage,
vilify,
slander,
mislead,
misuse,
misdirect,
misinform,
malign,
smear,
conceal,
cover-up
and deceive you all.

A pro all the way
from serve to volley

Rod Laver's not one, but two, calendar grand slams
buried under pseudo-tennis-intellectual flimflam

Premium Member It Has Taken Time

It has taken me time to get to here,
a journey of pieces, fragments I grasp;
I have climbed up life's mountain- every tier !

Good morals, values and wisdom - I clasp,
I now have perception of who I am;
all bad negativity I unclasp !

Oh, I dislike deception and flimflam,
and my philosophy is to stay calm;
I stay with my doctrines and my program !

Truth, patience and composure is my balm,
I was brought up to know the right from wrong;
there are times when stressed that I read a psalm !

I find this way of living makes me strong,
my beliefs are simple-   love everyone;
peace, love and harmony is my life song !

Don't want my life to be a hit-and-run,
I, often refine perception- insight
no wish for my life to be a rerun !

When I fall, fail I stay always polite;
and will clear my mind to look for the light !

Premium Member Cheers for the New Year

Cheers for The New Year

We cheer for the New Year at twelve a.m.,
Twirling noisemakers and blowing ticklers,
And make resolutions we plan to engram.

And party away wearing silly tams,
Singing Auld Lang Syne with our sweethearts,
And cheer for the New Year at twelve a.m.

Conscious boasts, though we know it’s a sham;
The mind is strong, but the body is weaker,
And make resolutions we plan to engram.

And swing to music played by the band,
Stepping on toes amid dance capers,
And cheer for the New Year at twelve a.m.

While overindulging in hams and drams,
And tell ourselves we will change later
And make resolutions we plan to engram.

Company abounds chattering flimflam;
Sitting around the table sharing laughter,
We cheer for the New Year at twelve a.m.
And make resolutions we plan to engram.

Fly In the Ointment

Donald Trump is a flimflam man
You look where he points so he can
Give Russia an edge
The Ukraine the hedge
Whilst Kurds get the Turkey trepan!

Premium Member Sour Grapes

The teen’s face beamed with pride in his new car,
But Bestie exploded in jealous rage.
His reluctant congrats, a lame sidebar;
“I’d simply rather walk”— framed his outrage.

On Friday she failed the entrance exam,
Going to college, now holds no desire,
Higher education—a real flimflam,
she declared, all she’d felt now a fool’s pyre.

Excuses shirk blame—we can all decry,
Winning is fun, but losing kills yearning;
Life isn’t perfect—things do go awry,
But disparagement isn't good learning!

Be strong and just—suck it up when you lose.
Raisins are just sour grapes—with a bruise.
