Premium Member A single love will touch you with wings of light

A single love will touch you with wings of light,
an eternal flame that dances in the depths of your soul,
it comes like a gentle storm, without signs or warnings,
and rewrites your destiny, bringing a longing that knows no bounds.
This love, like a deep and honest river,
melts our heart like wax under the full moon's rays,
humbles us before destiny with humility,
even if we believe ourselves to be titans on this ephemeral earth.
Without this love, life becomes an endless wasteland,
no matter how far we run, everything seems devoid of color,
and even if this love hides in the past,
its memory remains eternal, a wound that does not close.
O, supreme love, that has illuminated our soul with stars,
shown us what it means to lose and to find oneself,
and even if we wish to forget you, to erase you from our soul,
you are there, in every dream, in every echo of our heart.
For you, immortal love, are the dream that guided us,
you are the ray of sunshine that embraced us at dawn,
and even if time will shroud memories in mist,
you will remain eternal, love, in the heart that has lived you.

Relationships

In the dance of love, man and woman unite,
Harmony sought, yet shadows invite.
The devil despises when two hearts align,
For wonders emerge when love intertwines.

Fierce battles waged, arguments endure,
Yet within the struggle, a love so pure.
Listen, and the ship sails smoother,
Faster towards dreams, goals to uncover.

Divorce rates soar, a disheartening trend,
Lost in the maze, souls fail to mend.
Reflection abandoned, a crucial quest,
To find oneself, love's ultimate test.

Love, meant to be gentle, an effortless flow,
Boundaries, labels, complicating the show.
In the simplicity, where love should reside,
Embrace the truth, let the heart be your guide.

The Promises of Pride

In my old room,
thinking my old thoughts
that were young once.

When I drowned in the flood
of future possibilities,
and knew I couldn't drink of them all,
but by God I'd throw back all that I could.

And I had more time,
and confidence,
and energy;
fewer failures to dampen my ambitious pride.

And to be sure, there was a pearl of goodness there,
a seed of iron-willed endurance
stoked by the fires of a starving ego.

I knew I was probably intrinsically less intelligent than many -
but I was a dog biting down on a bone.
They'd have to prove it!

What do I regret? Not much ... though I worry.
For I always wished to be cautious with my promises.
But oh how it stings, making easy pledges at the zenith of one's strength,
only to find oneself too weak to keep them.

The Way of the Wind

Now and then sometimes and then in-between
The way of the wind is a way so serene
To find oneself carried completely on air
Just drifting in silence with nary a care

The way of the wind cannot simply be caught
It isn’t a venture so easily taught
A mindset of karma for fortunes outlaid
Will hopefully spend now with gratitude paid

So free and so easy, a sea-breeze delight
When floating in freedom all day and all night
But when one can find it, when head space permits
Then everything questioned all finally fits

A tempest, a zephyr, a current or whisk
Just let yourself fly, go ahead, take a risk
The worries that burden in life underpinned
Will suddenly vanish, the way of the wind

Overthinker

Yes I Admit I Am An Overthinker

Things Were Complicated And I Was A Tinker

I Was Fed Up Of Those Darkest Days

That Ruined My Harvest In All The Ways

I Also Admit I Wasted A Lot Of Time

In Useless Things That Were At Prime

But Now Movies And Shows All I Discard

For Me It Is All Like A Big Junkyard

Because The Reality Of Life Hits Me Hard.

I Was Amazing At Imaging Fake Scenario

That Started From A Fish And Ended At Lake Ontario

Since I Was Lost In Deep Imagination

My Soul Was Full Of Dissatisfaction

Comparing Best Outcome, With A New Possible Outcome

This Cycle Continues Without Any Fragmentation

Sporadically I Used To Hold One Thought,

A Random Thought That I Never Sought

That Used To Grind My Peaceful Mind

And Make Me Feel A Little Distraught.

I Became Too Much Lazy To Respond

In This Disease Of Over-Scrutiny

I Achieved Nothing But Lost Many Good Bonds

But Now I Am Trying To Change Myself

Seeking Deep Inside And Find Oneself

Who Was Once Passionated And Addicted

Towards His Hobby And Career Goals.

Premium Member The Dark Side of Humanity

Lost in a desperate mind world
Seeking a sense of community
and a need to belong
through an innate desire to be whole again.
But confused…
The path nebulous.

And through indoctrination
either directly or unintentionally
or perhaps inadvertently
harboring a vision that individuality is the answer
through a desire to see and “find oneself”
but left with only a false mirrored reflection
of who one really is.

And one says, “It is my right!”
hoping that it becomes “their destiny”
but really is only “deluded identity”.
And this desire
gives life to the belief
that one will find and understand oneself
by way of separating from that “other”.

The result…
illness within
then spreading to community
for the connectivity link now broken.

And without humility…
there is little compassion.
And without compassion…
there is a lack of understanding.
And without understanding…
one becomes lost
in ones own separate ways…
severed from the natural world of community…
exhibiting the dark side of humanity.

The Long Road Back

THE LONG ROAD BACK

To “find” oneself is often the way
That folks from normalcy go astray.
They leave the comforts and routines of home,
In frivolities’ paths to wander and to roam.

The temptation there is so very alluring
It makes ones’ stay sometimes enduring.
There is always something new to try
That will cause you to eventually ask yourself why.

When finally you reach the end of that road,
And flounder and fret from the heavy load,
As in your haste alternatives are sought,
Perhaps where you left was not as bad as you thought.

To return there will necessitate swallowing your pride,
As you admit that the way you have tried
Was not as fulfilling as you thought it would be.
Now you must from it purposefully flee.

As you travel that lonely road back to your home,
Remember that you never travel alone.
A constant Companion is by your side,
He will forever there abide.

Thoughts of a Lingering Heart

Thoughts of A Lingering Heart...
loneliness, fear, brokenness, self deception, blinded by one's own deceptions

Thoughts of A Lingering Heart check it out tune in (turn-up) as the young people say...LOL

Stop trying to fix something old that has been shown, proving unfixable, try something NEW, Oh we hear & heard that before...Yeah okay what's n-e-x-t

Stop battling the war within, facing challenges within oneself, we often find oneself stuck in the moment.

Those moments has no limited time attached, it just isn't fair... So sing and make a effort or sing away the Blues...

Thoughts of A Lingering Heart

Learn not to let your emotions VOTE....LOL

WE are ALL emotional people that's just life. But we are overcomers
change & transition.

We are a people of change, change, change, change...

Premium Member All Systems Go

A struggle getting up today,
often now those days be,
and as I spluttered into life
a thought occurred to me,
it would be nice if human life
ran like desktop computers,
and certainly my better half
has said that it would quite suit her.
On days when one may find oneself
in various sorts of pain
just switch your life off, count to ten
then switch it on again.
Backup all your memories,
download them from your brain
and when you're in your later years
upload them all again.
My systems are compatible
with ones I had before
but I've upgraded my arthritis
it's now version two-point-four.

Heavenly Finger Pointers

Listen you who think high minded
Who's placed yourself at the doors of God
Who speak for him wagging index fingers
Forcing yourself into chambers so Holy
Rejecting tolerance of men whom God loves
Issuing judgements on reverent behalf
Might find oneself in dubious places
Just a warning friend to embrace humility

Premium Member I Went To Heaven- For Contest

To find oneself in such yearned for embrace,
no words required, all spoken with one's eyes,
with loved ones, once long lost, now face to face,
joyous eternity where no-one dies.

I know them yet I don't because I see
them with my heart where memories are kept
in times before- age and illness would be
cruel companions of theirs until they slept.

But now they glow in loving warmth and joy
the barriers time made all stripped away
before them stands the man, the youth, the boy
they lead into the light of God's new day.

On top of all this I am grateful that
by His good grace he's let me keep my cat.

Premium Member Monet's Water Lilies

A canvas washed with pastel hues
In palest pinks and liquid blues
Perfection seen through Monet’s eyes
Recounting where his genius lies

The lilies floating on the lake
The water, greenish blue opaque
A fluid mix of subtle tints
A flowing dream with fragile glints

This work of art from sable brush
Perception, depth, a hazy blush
This masterpiece both cool and warm
All bound up in poetic form

To gaze in awe, to stand and stare
To find oneself transported there
The tranquil view, unbroken, whole
Will heal the heart, rebuild the soul

The peace, the calm, the beauty rare
The artist’s gift for all to share
