Hot Air Balloon Rides
Excitement built up,
riding the hot air balloon
with my two daughters.
Turned to fear for falling fast,
bounced on the ground, and then dragged.
The frightening ride
happened in New Mexico
sixteen years ago,
did not dampen my spirit
for riding another one.
Felt no excitement
nervous from the prior ride,
calmly went for it.
Magic moment in the sky,
view of sunrise and balloons.

Unpredictably Predictable
Feelings, like storms, disrupt the inner peace and leave the future uncertain
Hopes, like mountains, seen and far away to reach
Desires, like eternal, keeps running and stop’s nowhere
Thoughts, like lightning, shine, disappear, and keeps coming
Tears, like rains, clear the clouds and leave it’s
Sign
Life, like ocean meets river, people comes from various channels with

black female warrior
black female warrior
(2/7/13)
She was my black female warrior and she stood proud and tall
And upon her shoulders, her silk hair did fall
A spear in one hand and an axe in the other
No one would mess with her, not even her brother.
The strength of a lion searching for prey
She would not let anything stand in

The day i came and went
For a while, I have been gone,
Not so much for I left my poetry in my stead,
So they read, so they remember...
Yet here I am, alive yet dead.
They look at me with eyes,
Eyes that made mine cry,
No hugs, no hellos, or a faint gladness--
For I am here, alive yet dead.
The house I lived in, now

Tears of the Dragon
I can’t believe I once believed
that dragons could shed tears—
a time when my mind was robed
in the fragile cloth of childhood.
I wandered alleys where clouds bent low,
pressing their weight upon my skull.
Shadows snapped at my heels like starving dogs,
my heart swung loose inside my throat.
The tremor in my boots chained me still,
and every thought I

3rd Degree
We were twelve,
gathered at Daksa Island,
in the Adriatic’s haunted breath.
The sea moaned like a choir of the forgotten,
as shadows clothed themselves in black robes.
In the silence, a blade gleamed—
a knife that whispered, truth is not free.
They placed it before me.
“If you betray the mysteries,” they said,
“this edge will taste your life.”
My thumb was cut—
blood welled

THOSE DAYS ARE GONE
songer.co/song/uoybps6svtfpdjvmsumcec1c
[Verse 1]
I thought I was fine
You weren’t really on my mind
That was until
You were gone
I got to town
I really liked the way you hung around
Turned my frown upside down
Then you were gone
I’m all alone
[Chorus]
Was it something I said
I’m sorry if I was wrong
But I don’t know
Why did you up and go
Was it that song
Could it

Love of Horror
Love of Horror
When shadows lengthen, and the moon hangs low,
My heart beats fast, a thrilling, eager glow.
For whispers chilling, and for blood-red gleam,
I find my comfort in a waking dream.
The creaking floorboards, the unearthly wail,
A twisted plot, a terror-filled tale.
No gentle rom-com, no drama's soft embrace,
But monsters lurking, leaving not a trace.
From classic slashers to

My Daily Struggle
I wake up miserable each morning
Being mad at the world around me
For having to exist in this forsaken life
That for me is only hell and misery
It seems most choices that I made
Led me farther and farther astray
Now I’m lost in this forest of depression
And I have no idea

Flaming Wheat
I have loved too much,
its just imagery in my head.
You can tease me kindly
and I'll love you fondly,
I know its flirting at the end,
Those all-seeing eyes
like the shining of bright
Pelicans flap and cry
when its not time to fly.
Dead at the end graffiti
A rebel's chest not perished.
These old steps decrepit
barely can take my weight
and my visions

The feelings we feel
Happiness is like waking up to see
my favourite dishes for breakfast;
toasted bread and fried eggs.
Getting to school early and scoring As on all my tests.
Then I come home after a long stressful day at school.
Taking a bath and settling down to watch my favourite TV show;
just to see... it has been taken

Seed of Shame
I remember staying quiet
hiding under a rock
a paralyzing fear
~ literally petrified ~
I'd lost my tongue
in shock at the injustice
my head spinning
in a whirlwind of confusion
It never occurred to me
that someone could be
found guilty and punished
for something I had done
And still I sat there numb
in my evergrowing shame
to this day guilty and unforgiven
~ I was old

The Day the Beast Lost
I woke each break with cast a shadow on my chest,
a nameless weight that stole my needed rest.
It spoke in lies I dared not try to fight,
and turned the morning darker than the night.
I laughed in rooms so no one saw the ache,
while every smile felt brittle, thin, and fake.
It fed on doubt, on all
