I
adore
poetry
that is just there.
Unbidden words fall
in one quiet moment.
Infinite and fathomless,
a journey in a flowing breath.
Oh, sweet fathomless tranquility.
This writing of words is a gift from God.
life has taken me to far distant places deep
and left me with reveries painfully fathomless
so I paint my tragic journey in words
and melancholy poetic lines falling
my lines weep and moan tangled
the pen bleeds, bleeds words
over and over, again endlessly
I write my painful sorrowful

Fathomless is the sea of love for the one whose heart is filled with compassion

These vultures were closing in on me,
A thousand unutterable fears bore unamendable holes in my mind,
Absorbed in a stream of thoughts and reminiscences,
All was a vague jumble of chaotic impressions.
Awaiting my summons to the eternal silence,
Buried hopes couldn't rise from their sepulchers,
Fathomless depths of suffering increased
Like a feverish and godforsaken tide of life.
Gathering all my scattered impulses into a passionate act of courage,
Threw a ton's weight of resolve upon my muscles,
And braced myself to the exquisite burden of life,
I failed to drink from the jug of the universe.
My heart flutter with a vague terror,
And my soul is beaten to the ground by the catastrophe,
My sensibilities are now offended,
Because this is my night of fathomless blackness.
My life has taken me to places deep
And, my reverie is painful and fathomless
I paint my tragic journey with words
Those I loved, memories that drip
My writes are weeping lines so tangled
With my pen I bleed these sad poems
Over and over, and again and endlessly
With falling tears I write verses sorrowful

A fathomless day
Visually blissful
Metaphorically ready
Musings from my
Internal soul dragon
Suddenly heard
A blessed ribbon
Of purity wander
Into my heartstrings
Magnificent plumes
Ribbon through my
Sweet marigold garden
Gauzy silky dandelion
Wisps guide imagination
And make poetry

FATHOMLESS CAN'T RESIST
fathomless I can't resist
the quietus confronts that ties
eternity rhapsody confronts and contest
the story as it's lies...
A fathomless rhapsody eternity story

OF FATHOMLESS MERCY
A surpassing story of old.
More than His saintly mother’s loss.
Weightier than riches of gold.
Lamb’s rhapsody bleeds from the cross.
O depths of fathomless mercy!
Bloodletting removal of dross.
The case for Christ controversy.
Lamb’s rhapsody bleeds from the cross.
A quietus sounded after
the moaning of nails, at a loss
to explain cruel crowd’s laughter.
Lamb’s rhapsody bleeds from the cross.
O eternity pleading life!
Droplets of love salting the moss.
Looking to cure ALL of men’s strife.
Lamb’s rhapsody bleeds from the cross.

Broken Wing’s Five Words, Please contest
story, rhapsody, fathomless, quietus, eternity
R-ain and cold chill disappear,
E-arly morning March nine;
L-onely evening has faded,
Yes, another birth is
N-ow fine.
G-ray shadows have vanished,
A-fter the long night is gone;
R-ays from the beacon shine,
U-sing the break of dawn.
N-ew day has broken, as the dark dusk is over;
G-reen blades are swaying, while the butterflies flutter.
E-ach flower feeds the bees,
B-irds chirp then soar up high;
U-nder their wings and speed,
E-xtraordinarily, they sing and fly.
N-othing in this whole world is in vain, futile, and useless;
G-od's creation is wonderful, His power is fathomless.
Overwhelming
Is the rapture of love,
the grief for all those I hold dear.
O, infinite death, this throbbing aching.
This imprint on the mind,
never-ending pain of memory.
O, the images, tokens, recollections.
All the dreams that haunt me,
vast paintings of days long past.
O, torment and anguish of love and death.
Bottomless is the pain,
I fall each night into darkness.
O, I cherish each weeping, stabbing tear.
So,
heartbreaking,
the grief,
but an endless chasm,
rumbling as the deep blue sea,
whispering, murmuring and sighing.

My deepest depths are no longer secret.
For "True Love Words" contest sponsored by Russell Sivey.
How do I express
the very depth of my love
when there are no words?
searching through the rubble
of shattered egocentricity
sculpting reality from the substance
of the indwelling Christ
