Premium MemberIndomitable Instinct

The exigent mountain
in the tough terrain
of upheaved life,
          crumbling,
needs to be climbed
as the solemn summit
alluringly calls.
I follow
the undefined trail
in surging storm
of stifling strife,
          relentless.

I cross with piety
the divine portals
God installs
in the precincts
of eclipsed destiny,
          dormant.
In His decree,
designed with certainty
I repose resolute trust,
faith shows me the path
to the content summit
of solacing rapture
in the dark nights
of scary squalls,
          delusive.

The turbulent sea
of chaotic life
in tempestuous disarray,
I need to sail
          serene,
find with forbearance
the last anchorage,
get guided
by His benign beacon
with dedication just,
          steadfast.

The tormenting alley
of endless anguish,
          submerged
in opaque darkness
          desolate,
needs to be lit,
the shreds
of shattered soul
salvaged from the abyss,
are to be sutured
with threads
of divine essence
esoteric,
embroidering ecstasy
at the frail fringe
of agonized actuality,
shaping the survival instinct,
indomitable.

Exigent Mind

I swear tout de suite,
that...
My noddle ain't petabyte
But just a condign floppy disk.
So I could swiftly flush out some memories,
And retain only what's necessary.
I swear I wanna draft some boundries.
As much as I need a reclying bin, and depositary
In my head.

Premium MemberAlmost Accused of Murder

It is not the kind of conversation that is exigent to the circumstances.
When questioned, we could have feigned its importance, but why?
It was a superfluous conversation, and no one should have asked.
But the police detectives did, because there was a murder to solve

Mrs. Peets, the main detective used multifarious methods to get us to talk.
Attempted to get us to confess to what we had been sharing in the booth.
One look from Migs, our ringleader squelched us immediately.
Migs’ rare effulgence has elevated him to sovereign of our little gang.

Miss Bee, another detective played with the amaranth on the table.
I watched tiny purple buds fall onto the white linen tablecloth.
I am pretty sure this plant is pestilent, but kept my mouth shut.
They both tried to foment discord, but we were slick and walked away uncharged.

Premium MemberThe Journey On Hymn

The exigent mountain in the tough terrain of life
needs to be climbed as the summit alluringly calls,
follow the undefined trail in surging storm of strife.

Cross with piety the divine gateways God installs,
in His designed ordain repose your steadfast trust,
faith will show the path in dark nights of squalls.

The turbulent ocean of rough life in tempestuous gust,
needs to be sailed serene, the last anchorage found,
get guided by His benign beacon with dedication just.

The tormenting alley of agony in darkness profound,
needs to be lighted, shreds of soul salvaged from abyss,
in the glow of divine essence God’s grace will abound.

The journey on the rhythm of prayer hymn is never amiss,
it takes life through the stillness of soul to the bay of bliss.

Premium MemberThe Sinking Spirit Lifted

In the trying times of Covid pandemic
I was home-bound, secluded and agonized,
restrained from doing things I needed to do.
Derelict life had lost its natural rhythm
in the exigent chaos of uncertainty.

Cut-off from the outside world isolated,
the stalled time spawned dreary desolation
that took the toll of my physical well-being
and utterly wrecked the mental health,
I plunged in depth of hopeless depression.

That was when my neighbors came to rescue,
didn’t let my morose morale plummet low,
helped me navigate my psyche out of gloom,
made the dark clouds drift from my mind’s sky,
I was overwhelmed by their kindness.

God’s benevolence I perceived in their support,
lifting my sinking spirit from the abyss of misery,
letting me survive the challenging health condition.
My soul was filled with fathomless gratitude,
for through them I received His gracious blessing.

Premium MemberHousehold Cosmonauts

I want to rearrange rooms with you,
Sipping steeped teas and coffee beans.
Pondering an existential anamnesis;
"The aloe should go here."

I want to want little victories,
Shape sovereign lands from the exigent patriarchy of our uncordial entente.
Reap what worlds within worlds are ours from the wars of decor.

Where the couch lives is where the war is won.
Shrinking worlds, infinitesimal gravity.
I supernovaed myself, sucked inside by a binary star's gyroscope.
Where one and one is more than two,
More than three, more than just you and me.

Terraforming effervescent event horizons,
With cliches of household quantum physics.
Simplicity undulating between the errs of errant introspection.

I want to water our plants,
Cycle our ecosystem with tears of joy and sorrow,
No longer spinning petty things alone,
No longer spun by petty things alone.

I want to feel welcome,
Feel inside the world,
I want to feel just as I do with you.
And I do.

Exigent Power

Epiphany’s truth
  needs no defenders

Its window stays open
  the light shining through

The nature of being
  its servant not master

With exigent power
  —beyond legend or proof

Premium MemberCandy Bar

Pink and white sugar coated candies
Decorate the candy bar glass jars
Macarons, cake pops and cupcakes
Sweeten the most exigent palladar

Trays of white chocolate coated pretzels
Almond cookies, lemon filled donuts,
Marshamallows and belgium chocolates
Indulge the taste buds with sapidity

From weddings, sweet sixteen party
Baby shower and birthdays, candy bars
Embellish table with a multicolor display
The attraction of the festive celebration

Eternal granite, crystalline scree, agates, boulders, rise

rising, lifted, then toppled by the fiery rebirth of draconic lava**

Like the cracked shell of an avian egg***/ **** both molten yolk
and watery albumen mark the passage of time, the swings

Seen and unseen the arched openings spiral, poled in ten

screeching***** shadows infer larger beings who manhandle
the infinite construct of finite man

Xii: Titled Men

Dearest Prof –
I did not title them:
These ever-ready logs
Ready to assemble ants of cowries;
They dance from sea to land
Wishing to be titled by exigent gods
Who watch over their lonely coronations
Lavished with sacrificial songs!

I did not title them:
Pot-bellied officees of faculties
Chewing mouthfuls of the land’s laws
Their neighbours:
Half-truthful goblins of tax-collectors
The smiling kick-backers
And officees of admissions –
Who titled these men?

Dearest Prof –
Many are these titled men of today
Are they found everywhere?
Do they mount uniformed road-blocks
As we pass safety-roads without eyes?
Head-strong: are their skulls also fragile?
Could the husk of a tax-collectors mouth
Eat the husks of his pot’s bottom?

Who titled these men?
Matching boldly with wrong titles?
Of course, the red-caps of the under world
Visited the newly world-renowned ref
(Prof, a roused lad heard it told!)
Did they leave the corpse by the ref?
Sadistic: are they also shrewdly fraternal?
I cannot lavish the sacred lines.
