Ese Sueno

If you knew how much I write of you
You'd wonder, what else does he do?
Every written word is yours
Every song composed a cause
To show a love, 'twas unforseen
Your inkling though was very keen
That dream I had was quite the start
By poem one you had my heart

Bella

Bella,
me enamoré con ella,
reflejo de estrella
brillando en su mirada tan bella.
Como las nubes,
el día no se me lleva
cuando estoy con ella,
mi mente se queda.

Si llueve, yo soy su paraguas,
la cuido del mundo,
del drama y las malas.
Ese es el diseño,
es fuego conmigo en la cama.
Dice que me ama,
dice que me ame,
y cuando lo dice,
el alma me arde.

Temptation

Temptation

Foundation.

In such a fluid interconnected world, are long-term relationships dwindling in numbers?

Is temptation saturating society, and creating an influx of such communications, subtly asking for a second chance?

The Email to Monique

Whenever I think of you,
I always feel a familiar calling

A soft echo which rhythmically whispers before morning

I can still feel you

And it carries such magnificent tales of us slipping and sliding

Entwined together spiritually
As a new world was dawning

But like all things borne into the bright lights

There are things lurking in the night

Things we failed to see
To pray against and fight

And so now we both live alone

Me in bondage to time and memories

And you
A sentinel in the in-between spaces

Who I still see

A serene face reflected in random windows

“Perdóname mi amor
La oscuridad vino por mi

Y en ese único momento
Olvidé tu nombre"

Forgive me my love
The darkness came for me

And in that one moment
I forgot your name

Prometeme

Aunque él deber
te dicte hoy
otro destinó.
Y al estar sólo
busques él refugió
de otro nido.
Prometeme
qué aún volverás,
tesoro mío.

Confirma tú regresó,
con ese
apasionado besó.
Y cómo velero fiel,
lucharás contra
la marea o viento--
por nuevamente anclar
en este, tú amado puerto.
Tú por mi, regresarás.

Cobijame
con la llama
de pasión intensa--
que guardas
en tu pecho.
Para que mi llanto seque
y así pueda escuchar
la oscura
y triste novedad.

Brindemos
por esté adiós,
no sea eterno.
Con vino rojo
y dulce, del bueno.
Aunque cada buche--
traiga hoy tanta amargura--
al digerir la amarga
e agria realidad.

Regalame
esa fuerza intensa--
qué otorga tú mirada.
Porqué es imagin--
la qué logra que pueda
conseguir el sueño.
Ahí tal vez pueda--
tener algo
de felicidad.

Consuelame,
con la esperanza en tú voz--
que ahora me jura,
anclada frente a Dios--
prometiendo tú regreso.
Porqué aunque
despedazado hoy
queda él corazón--
siempre te esperará.

I Am As I Am complete
Though ego opines otherwise
Invoking grace we feel God’s heartbeat
Where ese does there remain for us to realize.
                  -Unseeking Seeker

Our soul lovingly speaks to us everyday
wherever we are, wherever we stay
Reminding us of our God’s beautiful gifts
that no life’s trials can carry us to drift.

For we are the handmade of God
created in His wonderful likeness and image
Our body dwells the Holy Spirit
as His temple to make us feel His heartbeat.

He knows what’s in our thoughts
and sentiments of our hearts, He sooths
Inflating our ego and pride
God watches us, He’s always at our side.

It’s God' faithfulness, love and grace
that empower us to deal with our imperfections
Then again our soul speaks within us, I Am as I Am
completely belong to God, a child of my Almighty Creator.

WORDSMITH

Science they say
Is discovery
Poetry a craft
Properly put
An industrial Art
A genre of creative Art
But wherein
Is the place of the Muse
And wherein
Is the place of the Wordsmith…
In everything
And on a daily basis
I eternally thank God
That
Ohwojevwe Ese Ganiyu
Is a wordsmith
Divinely given
to mankind
by our creator

Nights that smell of dew,
days that smell of fresh grass,
flowers that bloom to be seen for a short time,
leaving their fragrance in the air for us to feel that unforgettable instant.
Slippery days missed somewhere in the past.
Rusty swings forgotten in my backyard that bring back my childhood memories.

The typewriter, each key its purpose met.
The author’s score from mind to fingertips.
Illumination of her breath and sweat.
The musical is moving hearts and lips.

She climbs into the dark places, and sweet.
The hammering, the keys clang twists, and turns.
Her imagination is not discreet.
The flames of her lyrics - her nails with burns.

With lilted tongue - the soft and thud conquers.
Alternating eyes of light and dim spell.
In siren-ese, the ebb and flow bonkers.
The carriage bell carries the tuneful swell.

An Easy Kind of Love

Your presence
is a fluttering in the throb of my pulse.
Our wide-open eyes collide
with a zealous sexual urgency.
Your body heat
swirls beneath my skin
as we wrestle with fierce passions.

We are clasped in the hasp
of a thankful ardor,
saturated and pulled
with pleasure-trussed
stirrings.

That was then;
that was when young people
were not so young.

Now I take my ese
watch songbirds
come to the garden feeder,
count sparrows
as they bathe in a glittering puddle.

There are many paths to arousal,
nowadays I take the slow way,
hold your aging hand
enjoying the love-making
of this year’s youthful squirrels
as they chase each other
in the trembling tee-tops.

The evening arrives gently
ushers us to rest
within those timeless arms

that the well acquainted
always have for each other.

one political persuasion
is discerned easily
when those pragmatic lies
purr like a pharisee.

perks hide from public eyes.
after months behind screens,
one feels he’s just been put-upon.

*********

This is a new and different form of haiku that I came up with. A rhyming haiku with two stanzas. The first has a syllable count of 4,3,3,3,3,3,3,4 and the second has a syllable count of 8,6,6,6,6,6,6,8. Each stanza must also have a rhyming pattern. ...Charlie
