In this lifetime she is a mutt,
Small, Scrappy, sleepy, sweet,
Blinking eyes and gnawing teeth,
I'd know her in every lifetime,
In the one before she was tall,
Aching legs and honeycomb eyes,
Dutifully beautiful, kind, loyal,
A shadow with a wagging tail,
Before that she was white as snow,
Playful, pitiful, pretty, pale,
Sitting on the carpet awaiting my dad,
as I played with her ear and paw,
I didn't meet the one before,
I'm told she was quick, smart,
Like a pistol shot, a starting gun,
rescued, for a good life somewhere new.
I hope, when this lifetime is over,
I will meet each version of her,
Maisie, Lucy, Suki, Bonnie,
And we'll venture into the next one.

Storms come
Tapper to showers
Calm returns
Earth making ready
For flowers
Sun reclaiming the sky
Rainbow~ prize-ribbon
Meadows gleaming
Bees tripping dutifully, busy
Matchmakers, introducing bloom
To bloom
Birds pairing, making nests
Brides and grooms, greeting guests
The valley quite a festive sight
Nature’s fond formal of Spring….

Friend,
Silence listens,—every thought we think,
each new feeling which soundless trickles by,
the twinge of untold pain, the snuck-in sigh,
are registered within the margin’s ink
Friend,
Silence listens (better than your shrink),—
in worries sunken deep below the “I”,
the subterranean soul, the scrying spy,
dutifully encodes each missing link.—
Observe the many mangled manners your mood
wrings its revenge out from your wet-cloth mind.—
To wrest the terror from your burning breast,
it twists your vision—perception, once skewed
unkowingly invites the shades inclined
to test your tensed chest’s breath of stressed rest.

excitedly injustice
awakening stampede
stopping as imbibes
desperate necks
heeling creeks
jumping dashes
merciful joy
i am not there, please hold
the bridle and the hoof
i see nothing of blunders fray
you have fickled my merriment
daring jester
come once again telling me your terror
in what age did god befall as visceral death
teaching young heretics as you
slavery's daughters lost
was rights and lost not providing in class
or dutifully sworn soldiers appearance
castling late blooming testimony

Winter morning, darkness clings with angelic might
Its moonlight respendently glows
Guiding wayward travellers safely home
Sunlight, rested, ready, Its brethren orb weary
Hands dutifully the baton
Solar strength summoned, bringing comfort home

I was once a Romeo
In gallant quest of romantic love.
For sake of which I wandered far afield,
Past mills and quarries, foundries and farms
Where good folk tend their business
And useful things get done.
As spring gave way to winter,
I found the climate daunting,
With freeze and thaw displacing by upheaval
My belief in happily ever after.
My confirmations became suspicioned,
And my satisfaction curiosified.
My ratifications were soon dutifully amended
And my achievements ambitioned
To a more sensible view of reality.
Having suffered hard time in the punishment block,
Where one’s thoughts then tend
To either stagnate or germinate,
I arrived at this one eternal paradox:
Only fools dare ever fall in love,
While only love can save the foolish from themselves.

October 19 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Mark 13-14
Key Verse – Mark 13:5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR WARNING US
AGAINST DECEIVERS
Praise be to God for warning us against deceivers with their:
Dishonest words
Disgraceful ways
Disrespectful witness
Detrimental worldliness
Dysfunctional waywardness
Mark 13:32-37 Praise be to the Lord for
commanding us to be watchful while:
Waiting actively for His arrival
Working abundantly by His affirmation
Wanting His approval along His assurance
Walking against arrogant and apathetic attitude
Withdrawing from abominations through His assistance
Mark 14:6 Praise be to the Saviour for
delighting in our good work wrought on Him:
Dearly with dedication by His divine design
Diligently with determination to His direction
Dutifully with dependence on His driving defense
Devotedly with decisiveness through His distinction
Determinedly with discipline and discretion from destruction. Amen!

drop me there, he said
because he loves orange
and he has not seen it since he left Urch19
I feel like I am home, he told the device
the ship lowered him into the field
he dutifully beamed a spray up
to show he had landed safely
there was laughter in the distance
he followed the sounds
discovering several children with an adult
since there were more of them than the teacher
he turned himself into another child
when they returned to the bus
the teacher discovered she had an extra charge
he did not respond to her questions
but she could not leave a child in the wilderness alone
he ended up in foster care
where he got a fast education
how to hotwire cars, what to steal and not steal
how to manipulate a foster parent
distorted data he collected to take back to Urch19.

Judge me gently, as I am still a fledgling.
I avoid the pompous, gaudy and bling.
Swiftly simple suffice setting styles.
Abandoning artists amorous aisles.
Fingertips searching for contrite meaning.
Mind from one side to the other leaning.
Bringing forward a paradox of words.
Flowing and forming in flocks and herds.
Wistfully winding with wanderlust wending,
Beguiling bounty beyond beauty blending.
Meanings meander, melding misty metaphors.
Liquid amber, sweet honey seeping from pores
Innuendo intrigues, interest icily intended.
Read and reread and dutifully amended.
Bringing heights of pleasure yet forlorn.
Seeking perfection, my poem is born.

Chronic
Fool, that I was, I thought to be more
Only to be gutted, and left on the shore.
To Doctor’s appointments, I dutifully arrived
To be sent away, told lie after lie.
You look so good, you must feel fine?
The only explanation, “it’s all in your mind”.
The package so shinny, the skin, so bright,
The body inside, it’s tainted with blight.
So many years, I lobbied and I strived,
Wanting more, than just to survive.
Nothing’s possible, all dreams, gone
Once, I danced, now, pain’s pawn.
The day’s are listless, seas, becalmed,
Waiting for light, without hope of dawn.

Your grasp held me tight
A willing prey I dutifully oblige
embracing your whip I find happiness in its cut
with a smile I gladly take each strike
It’s an addiction
your infliction, a bittersweet lure
I fear the beauty in my affliction
yet drawn to your masochistic strain
My obsession
An opioid to my pain
The screams from your oppression
A soothing balm to my wounds
In the twist fate of longing
I pity my suffering, no,I love it
If there was ever a home
In your shackles, there it would be

What inspires us to write heart felt poetry
To divulge our innermost thoughts and feelings
It's certainly not to gain fame or fortune
Ever heard of a millionaire poet
Those two words are never uttered
In the very same breath
It's a proven fact poets don't write poetry
With the view of earning a fortune
Poets write poetry to satisfy an inner need
To create to inspire to motivate
That tug at the heartstrings
That bring sunshine to dullest of days
That express every day feelings
In a most poetic way
We know when the words just fall into place
That something special is about to happen
We don't need to wrack our brains
Our innermost being writes the words
We just dutifully record them
And sign our name at the bottom
We are secretaries of our soul

I sense a kinship
(why the Wild Flowers grow)
how wildly they grow
freely they grow
unkempt fields
Spring's showery quench
seeming no care of pruning --
Sun the selfless charge of Nature's light
grooming
In season's dusk, green leaves
dutifully giving way for
skeletal presence of leafless
far more somber trees
such ordained passing~ all for renewing,
for ultimate re-blooming --
a toning reminder
as I freckle, yawn and creak --
my perennial soul, like that of the Wild Flowers
is faithfully, blessedly attended
under God's eternal, loving keep --

If
I did not
please You
with the Food I
dutifully prepared
/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
Or the clothes I chose to wear.
If my love was not enough for you
If you didn’t see my aura it wasn’t clear
If the wine, I served wasn’t of full bouquet.
If I did not boost your ego to make you feel more
If the songs I sang were not pleasing to your ears
If I did not keep the house spotlessly clean and tidy
If I did not keep our animals clean and well-kept always
If I did not give you my entire wealth to spend as you wished
Then my love, you can move your own bloody mountains, my love.
