From Dusk To Dawn

A red sun, pooling like a drop of blood,
coagulates at the edge of darkness.
And the night flows like a shadow, a flood
black as pitch, inking a seamless starkness.


A gilded moon, like a pitted gold coin,
beams in the sky as a beacon of light.
And like swarms of flashing fireflies, stars join
quasars and pulsars, twinkling in the

A Twilight ends the sweltering day with a dusky simmer
    American liberty, is what we're commemorating       
Firecrackers burst above us, romantic, lights that shimmer
Under a lit sky we stand, with family celebrating

Dusk to Dawn

Extinguishing day,
Sol's scarlet sphere sinks
o'er the horizon;
into a sea of
liquid ebony
at the edge of Earth.

Twilight darkens dusk,
gathering shadows
that merge with the night;
while trillions of stars
unveiling their light,
begin to twinkle.

Night absorbs color 
till Dawn's light pierces 
its ebony heart;
and it bleeds scarlet,
tinting misty clouds
cotton candy pink.

No sex for two years
My days are numbered

A spent sun, sullied and bleeding,
starts to sink, defeated by Night.
And chameleon clouds blush pink,
absorbing drops of crimson light.

Vermillion inks the horizon
like luminous carnival glass.
And a glowing golden moon shines
like a cauldron of molten brass.

Black cloaks the heavens in velvet;
an ebony softness that flows.
And sleep's allowed to wander free;
to tend to fantasies and woes.

Magical transformation

The day put on her twilight veil
And walked off into the night
No moon or stars to show the way
Just darkness to dull her sight

Then silently from east it came
A silver eerie kind of light
Casting shadows from the hedgerows
Making all around seem bright

The mystic moon her place she took
Way up high in autumn sky

As each dawn draws nearer to 
its dusk, i'm one step closer to you. 
One more day of life united under sun 
and moon shadows. 
From snow storms to sun showers our 
seasons grow colorful. 
Painted in shades of rainbow passion. 
Each moment nurtures our love blooms.
