I am N8LM a protocol droid,
an oil bath is good when I’m annoyed;

  Perilous journeys leave me so annoyed, 
  I prefer trips that are less than a parsec;

It’s better to travel less than a parsec,
if you get caught it is all your fault;

   How rude to blame me if it’s

Color Drop Duplex

Colors drop, intermingle, and pop;
A waterfall of prismatic raindrops;

     A downpour of prismatic raindrops 
        bring focus to a filmy mosaic;

See clearly a complicated mosaic 
brushed with Earth’s salty tears;

     Highlighting spectacular tears,  
     zig

Duplex With a Hex

Witch cousins crammed into the tiny duplex.
Packed in so tightly, that no one could flex.
Warlocks were mad now, couldn’t work on their pecs.
Party spilled over onto noisy neighbor’s upper deck.

Neighbor strained to take pix, injuring her neck.
Gawkers I cars had a horrible three-pile-wreck.
Landlord made witch cousins write him a big check.
They painted his car with

She thought
     "ugly"
 was her 
 first name
 the girls
   hated
 her guts
 the boys 
 would tease 
 her too

 Then one
 summer
 she bloomed
     into 
 a rose, 
 the boys
 desired
    her touch
 the girls
 hated
 her more
 she

I then 
Knew not
That the 
Dry earth
Looked for
Some dew
From you
In her
Void sky

Please go
Fill her
Window
Make her
Drum beats
Quicker

Churn her
All ice
For the 
Fond rise
Of the
Tense cloud
To burst
In rains
On hills
And plains

She has
Cancer
Will not
Linger
More than
Two months

What of
Ethics?”


Giving
Pleasure
To a 
poor soul
Near death

What else
Can be 
Greater?

Swiftly,
Swirling,
Whirling
Tree logs,

Crashes,
Smashes
Through the
Narrows.

HIDDEN DISTRESS 

The lab 
results 
were out

CANCER

A dark 
shadow 
covered 
her heart.

Every 
step was 
painful.

Tears filled 
her eyes 
that day, 
but she 
would not 
let them 
fall down.

She would 
never 
let the 
world see 
her cry.

She was 
a strong 
woman. 
She had 
to be.

For the 
sake of 
her dear 
husband 
and her 
cute li'l 
children.

Killed him
They say -

He stole
My wife
And laughed -

I fear 
Prison
That's why

I loved
each day
the sun
shone on
this world.

I was
the one
that you
chose for
your girl.

I wore
your ring
upon
a string
of gold
around
my neck.

Nosegay
roses
pressed in
pages
keepsakes
young girls
collect.

Until
one day
you asked
if you
could take
out my
best friend.

So, with
these words
my love
for you
came to
a quick
dead end.

Christmas


Every
Christmas,
our close
kinfolk
arrive.
We share
our love,
great gifts,
good food.
Round the
table,
we all
hold hands
and pray;
give thanks
and praise
that now
one more
Christmas
was shared
jointly

An Honest Man

Christmas
Eve and
he is
rushing
home with
gifts for
his wife
in bad
traffic.

He texts
“Dying
to get
home.” Then
nothing.

His wife,
not far
away,
and some
minutes
later,
can hear
sirens.

He was
always
true to
his word.
