The Dreamer

While standing on the fringes of infinity
surrounded everywhere by nature’s hope
and gazing at the distant stars
that shine like gem stones in
the midnight sky…
I dream.

These reveries within my mind are taking me
to destinies across the universe
that only few have ever known
and only seen by me
somewhere within
my dreams.

So many times I’ve traveled to these distant worlds
while trekking though my trail of reveries;
I feel they are a part of me
though know I’ll never see,
and this is why
I dream.

Lay dreaming on the beach
Listening to the ocean roar
Ecstasy filled my soul with delight
My mind wandered ~
I filled the night's chalice with knots of desire

My heart raced ~ faster
Pulsating beats of rhythm
To the sound of the ocean
Splashing vigorously in my mind
Intense heat filled my body

Dripping with sheer ~ delight
My heart missing beats
I learned how to live unkissed, until ...
That night changed everything
I screamed ~ “Tie me to your Tongue “

Please, please ~ I’m begging now
Passed the stage of no return
Tonight is the night
Desire ~ becomes fire
It’s raining roses and love riots

Oh ! I feel your tongue caress me
I don’t want this to stop
I can take it ~ more~ more
The moon is an honest Manipulator
Brighter the moon shone, hotter I became

Is this a dream ~ or reality ?
I don’t wanna wake up
Feelings of desire, engulf me
Ocean calls me into you
If time turns, will scars stain the sky ?

'The Beguiled Dreamer'

"Off this bank, captain
Or any other
To face, for no troublous sea
What's skimmed cosmically
Push, gently now, push.
'The Beguiled Dreamer' ".

World's fatigued, fed up
One voiced, and hoarse, plead.
Late eves, who sink otherwise
Down and deep, reclined likewise
Plushy lounged and chaired.
As sound tides recede.

Dreamer not the doer

I hate
failure, failing.
I hate life but
love living.

But.
Are you even
living, if you hate
every second of it?

There’s a key difference between
existing, and living.
I want to live.
I want to be away,
far and farther and further out,
from those
I can’t stand to be around.

I want to follow dream,
and, the only way possible for that,
is to be away,
from all
of you.

I think I need be a doer of the dreams,
for that is the only way out.

The greatest human quality is discernment,
The discriminating and the separating
Of the grain from the chaff;
The glass is not the wine
The instrument is not the music
The body/mind is not the spirit
The dream is not dreamer
Yet day by day we blur the lines
Grasping and holding
That which is merely useful or pleasurable
But truly fleeting and impermanent
Holding on to what is tangible
While the intangible,
The sublime and divine
Within the merely mundane
Is all that really remains.

Premium Member BEING A DREAMER

I am grateful for being a dreamer…
I dream of a world filled with peace, acceptance and love
I dream for hatred, prejudice and wars to be forever gone…
and I’m grateful for the stars and the moon
for creating the wonders I have always dreamed on.

MY DREAM WITHIN A DREAM

Edgar Allan Poe: "All that we see or seem / Is but a dream within a dream."

My Dream Within A Dream

Somnambulant dreamer,
Dancing in time to silent music,
Pirouetting arabesques,
And grand jetés performed as on stage.

While all around her people stared,
Astonished by what this darling dared.
Leaping, spinning, and body rolls,
She danced through her dream out of control.
Tumbles and twirls, tempo frenzied,
Her youth and beauty were so envied.
Lithesome grace utterly entrancing,
This young beauty caught dream dancing.

So lost in the dream, her steps faltered,
Lovely dancer, soon to be martyred.
Upon the pyre of lust and greed,
Selfish desires of the watchers' need,
Pulled against the dancer's grace,
And brought a tear to the lovely face.
The crowd's screams broke the count,
Her mistakes began to mount,
Until what once was sweet and pure,
Became something so unsure.
The dream, a nightmare instead,
The dance, a thing of terrible dread,
Our lovely dancer dreams no more.

Dreamer

As I sit and wonder why, one who dreams, she never cries
She always smiles but yet I doubt,
That anyone knows what she's smiling about.

Premium Member A DECREPIT JELLYFISH DREAMER

Many mountains, seas, women, and dollars made
But for you only was each moment played
As an aged wine flask, your decrepit skin cracks
As flaccid muscles bend your creaking back
Hard hammer toes hamper your stiff walking style
Toilet king, bilious bombard of bile
Fog obscures your mind, only to rise again
Wishing for many things which might have been
Stung as by tzetse flies you cannot forget
Fantasies won’t revive corpses of regret
Too late, with dreams drooling down your hoary chin
Awaken to the state you are now in -
A dream without legs, with all hope beyond reach -
A jellyfish sunbathing on a beach.

ODE TO A LOYAL DREAMER

In Alabama’s warm embrace, you stood,
Barefoot and bold, with heart and soul imbued.
A flame unwavering, steady and bright,
You chase the shadows, bring dreams to light.

Devoted hand in hand, you never roam,
Her spark, your anchor, your guiding home.
Through roaring crowds and neon gleam,
You carry her love in every dream.

With passion fierce, you seek and find,
The sacred meaning in each line.
No stage too vast, no night too long,
Your heart composes life’s own song.

Grateful eyes that see the truth,
That love’s the fire that fuels your youth.
No fleeting fame can steal the gleam—
You shine because she’s been your dream.

O loyal dreamer, humble and strong,
In your pursuit, where you belong.
May your light forever stream—
From fireflies to neon’s gleam.

Note: Grateful for a 7th place finish in The Ode Contest.

A Visionary Dreamer

I will keep my dreams
Full of my eyes,
Everyday is exciting for me
Cause I have inspiration
Within me that keeps burning
Like a star in the night
That guides a traveler's path
I will go one step by step
Follow every good procedures
To make the stories true.

Joy,
wisdom
and power
along with will
to create magic
manifesting ripples
emoting our pure intent,
that unfolds in linear time
as the innate freedom we enjoy,
is the being-ness of our consciousness.

Surfing lucid dreams of our heart’s desire,
we’re both the subject and the object
but know it not since we’re in trance,
freed from which when we are still,
by slowing flow of thoughts,
that ceasing to seek,
we react not,
waking up
from the
dream.

Dreamer

High upon a mountain top
Far from all mankind,
This is where the dreamer stops
to bing his thoughts to mind.
A tear escapes the dreamers eye
as he reflects on days gone by.
Still he knows he can't go back
for time has covered all his tracks.while searching for the guidance to put
his mind at ease,
Somewhere in the silence
the dreamer feels at peace.
He finds a stream along the way and rests beside the shore,
he feels so close yet far away
from where he was before.
And if the dreamers life should end
beside that shallow stream,
his soul will come to life again
within another dream.
