BE YOUR REALITY

“To be or not to be…?”
Often, a misunderstood question
Of self-reality; failing to realize
That God has given us the power
To affect how it should, and will be:-
It has been written, and repeated:
Ask, seek, and knock; and its
Given, found, and opened:-
That is, when we choose to do so,
In awareness that we are in charge
Of choosing what affects our reality:-
As one author has succinctly put it,
Our…”reality is not what happens
Around us, but how we respond to it.
Thus, how acquaintances act around us
Is their reality; our perception, our reality:-
In our daily lives with peers and family,
We must come to realize the power
We have in affecting our own reality:-
All too often, our reactions to others’ realities,
Tend to negate our own healing realities:-
Know and accept your power
Affecting your reality. Let no one
Or anything deter its joyful coming to be.
Thus, go back to life’s mirror and notice
What you see: One of God’s beautiful
Creatures looking back at thee.
Know that your desired reality,
Is your given responsibility:-

The grim reaper repeller actus opius.

The basilisk, that feathery serpent, shalt zeal and mealy diners shall burn the fat livestock until englutted but this arrowhead does not deter unless one such valiant god strums that homage to be paid in ringlets, like golden peaks that drip flaming golden wax, the climb is taxing but preeclampsia is not unmatched.

Chasing Sunflowers

We used to chase sunflowers when I was small:
the plant seeds finger-deep in rich dark mud
would crush egg-shells and scatter them round
the flourishing shoots would be five inches taller
to deter the mouth watering slugs, to keep
the flowers being lonely, and keep them whole.

We learned all about carbon dioxide in school:
about finding invisible nourishment in the light
about lifting up high, and chins up.
"Always keep your chin up," they said,
"It will light the warm and the soul."

My shoes don't fit me anymore
and the scratches on my knees are
creeping much higher, there like a
fishing line, causing me to not quite
keep my head upright.
Causing my shoulders to feel uptight.

I, the growing girl, never keeps my
eyes on my feet.
always on the sunflowers when possible
With the world at our ankles and nowhere to hide
But I stopped looking down where the shadows where sweet
And found I could no longer move my feel.

To Teddie the Tabby

My tabby is Teddie, she's both blazing rude and nice
Stealing my blanket, leaving me cool as ice
But I can't bring myself to yell, to scream, or to shout
So, I'll place a kiss onto her pink snout
Cause in return for love and presence, anything will suffice

My tabby is Teddie, she runs quick from the light
Escaping the sun with every drop of her might
Yet her long coat of fur won't even deter
Waves of cold that pulse through her!
Then feel way too bad, even a bit sad, during the night

Premium Member Acoustic Shadows

A haunting rustle continues to stir,
imprisoned by a restless ghost I cant deter.
Becoming a relentless hiss of a punctured tire,
to the blazing crackle of a funeral pyre.

When the world is loud, it can try to hide,
as my brain is otherwise occupied.
When the world rests and there is no noise,
this perfect silence, my mind destroys.

Waterfalls that never hit the rocks below.
Unbearable phantom sounds plateau.
As the cadence quickens to a frantic hum,
while a fury of cicadas pulse like a drum.

Invading the desperate hollows of my mind,
it’s insanely incessant, torturously entwined.
There’s no sanctuary from this discordance of sound.
A tempest of delirium down to a snake’s rattle abound.

Streaming water from the shower, a noise I dread.
Nobody at home, its all in my head.
Suffering tinnitus is a lifelong affliction,
Every waking hour a curse, a malediction.

When will I enjoy silence and my sanity restore?
The Raven answered "Nevermore"

WITH EYES STILL ON THE MARCHING PRIZE
(APROPOS OF AN MLK DAY REFLECTION)

With eyes on the prize,
Let us climb freedom’s mountain:
Topping liberty:-

Be a Drum Major,
Leading liberty’s parade
Up the mountaintop:
Guiding marchers onward to
Freedom, justice, and equality:-

Don’t let anything
Try to deter the journey:
You’re not Sisyphus;
Just keep on climbing:-

God navigating,
Let’s march to reality;
Our dream coming true:-
And nobody can turn us back:
Our faith, drum majoring us:-

Given the Dream’s route,
Let’s move up the mountainside:
Topping injustice:-

Railroading onward,
Has been tracked by ancestors:
God navigating:-

Today’s oppression,
We shall also overcome:
Flushing bigotry:-
Let justice’s waters unclog
Today’s red-pooped injustice:-

Let’s flush it all down!
Including red-stained echoes
From loose bowel-mouths:-

Zenith, Zone

O zenith, at the apex.
What lives within thy zone?
Zodiac, thy spell is hex!
Zero at the Bone!

Narrow fellow? Let's be mellow.
Mine and thine machine.
No use saying sweet hello?
Yellow, mix with green.

O anaconda empire!
In swampland, what to dread?
Circumstances! Guns for hire!
Butter without bread!

Flame immortal, writhe within!
Blanch my dreams, O Sin!
Deadly venom, scour my skin!
Vicious fight to win!

Lord of greatest house, titmouse?
Ran right up her blouse?
O for those who gasoline douse!
Sycophant and souse!

Young sir, who ought we deter?
Real world, fade to blur.
Mongrel, pedigrees. O cur:
Life goes in a whir.

Hummingbird, wings. O hornet, stings.
Sorcerer, thy rings.
Never mind nefarious things?
Nature's ding-a-lings.

Proofs for equations, elk? Eel?
Antelope, hope. Seal:
What to buy and what to steal?
Gods of death, thy deal...

That Invisible Open Door

There is a ocean of love inside of me
that longs to be poured out like the waves on the sea,
I want to hover over the water
fall into a Piscean dream, flanked by Lemurian light
I want to be lured inside a vat of minerals and sea salt,
perhaps I'm a daughter
                  to the water, water, water,
My arms are elbows curved and my face bobs atop blue
oh how I wish you could come and swim with me today
We would float on our backs and look up at the sky with glee
pinning those birds as if they were pigeons made of clay
fly away, fly away, fly away
                                    with me...
Our bodies would be firmly absorbed like living sand dollars
leaving land behind we'd embrace the ocean as if we were
dolphins, leaping and riding the waves like ocean scholars
come with me to the sea, we will swim without deter
                        swimming, swimming, swimming,
across the ocean floor,
we'll go right through that invisible open door
              and be no more....

Premium Member Death Can Change

Death can alter
Death can change anything at the altar
Death can deter
Death can damage the liver and the motor
Death is powerful
Death is really awful
Death is painless for the deceased
Death can destroy mums and lilies
Death can change schedules
Death kills bookworms, nerds and fools
Death can. Death can change everything
Under the moon. Death can change anything
Death can
Death can easily kick the can.

Sweet Jesus Saves

The Saviour Jesus in our place died
Breaking the horrible sin tide.
Then the Father God resurrected Him for fruit to bare
Of hope erasing every care.
So now we share victory over fear
His love wiping away every tear.

Like Gardens and the Great-Outdoors
His forgiveness and grace out-pours
He becomes our Sun
And like children, brings us fun.
Breath in His Spirit-Air
He is your "Perfect-Pair!"

Jesus brings us healing, Eternal and deep
In the Holy Spirit our lives to keep.
Into our hearts they come
With feelings light instead of the weight of a ton
He conquers with Joy
In pure Love and no alloy.

He is Sovereign and King
Not forcing but Lord of everything.
The Spirit-Cure
Nothing can deter.
Sweet Jesus Saves.
Every storms He braves.

To come always and forever,
Heart-to-heart together.
So listen to the gentle Spirit-Sounds
Some like waves, on rock it pounds.
You're never alone, though He is quiet.
Your inner-virtue-candle's lit.

With one touch;
The sacrifice is never "Too much!"
So, believe and pass it on
It surely leaves a song.
Shower Love on all.
Answer "The Call!"

Glass Half Shattered

Glass Half Shattered

I find my thoughts are often quite destructive or productive
I try to turn the former into something more constructive
My name will live in infamy forever and a day
The loss of independence is the price I have to pay
I dream that putting pen to paper, publishing my woes
Can deter some other creep from traveling down the path I chose
I see these kindred spirits making headlines all the time
Using words like "sick and twisted" may be fair but they malign

All us who decided to be cruel and turn to violence
Linger long in jail or death and do our suffering in silence
But isn't that the way we did our suffering before?
And that just led to bodies bled and senseless acts of gore
The voices of experience in these deeds so macabre
Must speak out against indifference (consider that our job)
We have a second chance to leave a legacy of good
Cause I know I'd take it back if only there's some way I could
Try to piece together and repair half shattered glass
So there won't be any need to fly our flags at demi-mast

Heartbroken yet not broken

“I’d rather love a million times and have my heart broken every time, than hold a permanently empty heart forever.” –H.C. Paye
...........................................................

Pure wickedness sets you apart,
Meanwhile, true love you led me to assume.
You purposefully broke my heart,
Leaving my vases filled with wilted blooms.

Yet I deter not; my heart lives to love,
Through many heartbreaks, still I'm strong.
I handle all pain with a gentle glove,
And confront every fear headlong.

The more the grief, the more I'll care,
Your stare can't scare me from loving again,
Only true love can wipe each tear,
New love's insight freed my heart of your pain.

My heart will never be devoid of zest,
For love always brings warmth to me,
From the ruins of your love, joy I'll wrest,
So the sadness you left will flee.

God so good, true love I have found ~
a feeling I'd never before now felt,
a joy that leaves my heart spellbound,
And makes all my aches completely melt.

Each summer I sunbathe quite nude
Onlookers gasp, they think it’s rude
Cos I'll open my thighs
To deter pesky flies
I'm thankful my spouse is no prude!
