“When divine lotus blooms within,
life becomes a feeling called bliss”- by Poet
Life desiccates derelict
in the desolate desert,
infuses perennial peace
of placid oasis in heart.
Sacred sublimity,
felt in serene essence,
embeds in devout sanctum.
Edified soul lights up bleakness,
perceives divine grace,
boundless bliss embraces life.

The rhapsody of rainbow
melts in morose mélange,
the concoction of colors
bleeds bland in
shattered silence,
sucked out
of crumbled core
of sensuous cloud,
soothing rain rinses
the stains in broken hearts,
shades of grey paints
the frayed linen of love,
redundant.
The requiem
of longing patina
of repentant rose
resonates melancholic medley
in the portals of petals,
the faded gloss
turns into tears
in pearls of mourning dew,
desiccates uncared
under the summer sun
of the desert mind,
the wilted flower falls
on weathered gravestone
of spent passion,
departed.
The cacophony captured
in the melody of forlorn music,
chaotic symphony floats
out of tune
on disharmonic wave,
strained smiles displayed
with elusive enactment
in ostentatious podium of life,
songs turn into echo
of convoluted noise
in hollow souls,
pretentious.
The intriguing facet
of listless life
seen entranced
through liquefied layers
of cynical stratum,
configures pessimism
in the sunken essence
of living exaltation,
the apparent aspect
refracts defiled expression
of warped existence,
enshrined.

Sprawling aspiration
effervescent incandescence

of primal spectrum
painting passion
on the silken sky
the configured
fascinated facsimile
of mental panorama
suffused with chromatic
sublime sensitivity
of exuberant ecstasy
blooming in
seraphic color blast
of floral spring
Parched pieces
draped by distress dust
of cinnamon ground
heart desiccates
to the core
auburn anguish
pervading passive
creeps craftily
in the wilted veins
of the fallen leaves
fragile essence
rustles restive
with emerald tune
of serenading sanguinity
Emotive eyes weep
concealed tears
in torment torrent
fill the cauldron
of pent up pathos
forlorn life’s
desolate distillate
designs crystalline
verdance shining
in the jade thicket
on the eroded banks
of awareness
as symphonic cadence
of fervent zephyr
drifting with sonata
of fleeting fervor
from yonder plateau
of yearning
pulsates timeless
with waves of rhapsody
in the bay of bliss
glides with the melody
of harmonic heart
with the ripples
of lilac lagoon

“From the shattered heart the streams of sorrow
with the shards of dream drowned in tears flow.” – By Poet
The cloud of gloom hovers over the sea of sorrow,
surges in distress tempest to my mental visage,
and melts to make the stream of tears to flow
like the trail of rain drops on the face of foliage.
With the brine condensing the pain of molten grief,
the tear drops are poised on the eyelashes for a while.
Like the raindrops on the edge of the leaning leaf,
they slide down slowly with the dream debris pile.
Down the parched crease of the pallid cheeks,
cascade the silent streams of soothing solace.
The touch of the serene soul the mourning mind seeks
in the course of tears and in its embalming embrace.
The wasteland of life is flooded by the torrent of despair,
until from ruins of broken heart the new sun rises with grace,
and desiccates the trail of the drops of tear,
veiling the trace of sorrow for the mind to erase.

Affluent rain pours down and appreciates
Permeating and gentrifying the land
Saturating quietness (i.e.black noise) by
A vociferous ‘shhh’ plundering space
to proclaim material knowledge...Meager
drought desiccates up and depreciates
Emaciating and decaying the land
Suffocating din static (i.e.white noise) by
A dry famine fasting the mind to
reveal mysteries of wisdom within

The Sahara
Scorching sun
Desiccates the earth
Fine pebbles
Stir and whirl
Removing footprints
Plateau is built
Scarf covers face
Rain is absent
Well has shrunk
Trees are bare and done
Root and dirt separate
Men herd goat and sheep
Generate cashmere and wool
Camels eat spare vegetation
And Keep hydrated
Eyes and nose closed
No sand shall infiltrate
Soft feet keep them from sinking
At nightfall , fire is made
Moon shows face
Breeze turns to freeze
The Sahara dreams of oasis
Its heyday
It’s fountain
It’s spring
It’s youth

Trudging alone on the indolent desert dunes
fragile footprints collapse and the sands flow
on cadence of mirage music, life’s unsung tunes
fades away slow.
In the trembling spine of my parched shadow
hungry predators burrow harrowing dark hole,
as dry desolateness sucks me harshly hollow,
from the depth of soul.
Familiar faces turn to cactus of thorny sprawl,
blood desiccates in the cleft of fractured heart,
trunk of fossil life crumbles in parts or whole,
time trampled the dirt.
Waned neurons rise from psychedelic trance,
subliminal cortex networks fervently strive,
capture images of sprouting stars’ silent dance.

TRAIL OF TEAR
Clouds rise from the supine sea of sorrow,
surge in storm wind to my eyes’ inner visage
and melt to make the stream of tear to flow
like the frail rain drops on the face of foliage.
With the condensed brine of molten grief
the tear drop is poised on the eyelash tip,
like the raindrop on the edge of leaning leaf
it descends gently for it has promises to keep.
Down the dry cleft of the distressed cheek
it cascades like a slim river of soothing solace.
The touch of the serene soul the mind seeks
in the flow of tear and in its moist embrace.
The barren life is flooded awhile in despair
till new sun rises from ruins of broken heart
and desiccates the trail of the drop of tear
that hides sorrow in the lost river of desert.
(Note : Being a non-demonostrative person I was surprised
as well as proud to be able to trace the trail of my tear
in poetic expression.)

DESICCATED LIFE
Life desiccates you
My heart melts on your hot dune
Drink my oasis.
In surging sand storm
Sun scorches your slim shadow
Recline in my arms.
If clouds burst in mind
Torrent of rain you can’t hold
Flow it in my eyes.

RIPPLE OF LIFE
A lake desiccates under desert sun
Looks up happily as clouds above roam
The drifting shadows dissolve and return
Tell the lake to wait the rains would soon come.
To the tranquil water a few drops dart
Ripples make rhyme in harmonic motion
Merging they all make riddled ripple art
On water the ripples drape emotion.
Sky gathers a storm from the horizon
Clouds melt in a torrent on the water
Rains break the waltzing ripples they don’t own
Lake suffers the pain that can’t be greater.
When melting clouds bring sky down the dance stops
Life ripples if bliss falls as divine drops.

On this ground
where the drought
of neglect desiccates
the poetic human soul
poetry gasps and
craves for shower
of attention and praise
and for eyes and ears
that find beauty in
every phrase or verse
Let the poet find
a place where Eden
is near, a branch
where his rhyme and verses
will bramble like a vine
and find greater height
and feel the warmth
of the Sun of inspiration
and the passion
to tell the whole world
about the beauty
he has found in words
