The Sahara

The Sahara Scorching sun Desiccates the earth Fine pebbles Stir and whirl Removing footprints Plateau is built Scarf covers face Rain is absent Well has shrunk Trees are bare and done Root and dirt separate Men herd goat and sheep Generate cashmere and wool Camels eat spare vegetation And Keep hydrated Eyes and nose closed No sand shall infiltrate Soft feet keep them from sinking At nightfall , fire is made Moon shows face Breeze turns to freeze The Sahara dreams of oasis Its heyday It’s fountain It’s spring It’s youth Marckincia Jean Free verse 06/13/19
