Trail of Tear
TRAIL OF TEAR
Clouds rise from the supine sea of sorrow,
surge in storm wind to my eyes’ inner visage
and melt to make the stream of tear to flow
like the frail rain drops on the face of foliage.
With the condensed brine of molten grief
the tear drop is poised on the eyelash tip,
like the raindrop on the edge of leaning leaf
it descends gently for it has promises to keep.
Down the dry cleft of the distressed cheek
it cascades like a slim river of soothing solace.
The touch of the serene soul the mind seeks
in the flow of tear and in its moist embrace.
The barren life is flooded awhile in despair
till new sun rises from ruins of broken heart
and desiccates the trail of the drop of tear
that hides sorrow in the lost river of desert.
(Note : Being a non-demonostrative person I was surprised
as well as proud to be able to trace the trail of my tear
in poetic expression.)
