Morning sojourn --
Sky bridge brisk walk
Twenty-sixth floors above

Morning meditation
Touch of stillness;
Peaceful mindfulness

Midday siesta
Cacophony whispers;
Daydreams solidify

Bout of flu
Runny nose on tap;
Drowsy medication

Meal time reveals
Diet plan on track;
Hunger pangs collide

Wind brings drizzle
Humid atmosphere;
Hot weather desiccates

Skyline contours
Evening sunset hues;
Love comes to call

Corridor commotion
Conflict escalates;
Neighbours fighting mad

Pain aggregates
Petty constellations;
Death greets hypocrisy

Premium Member Am I Alive

Trudging alone on the indolent desert dunes
fragile footprints collapse and the sands flow
on cadence of mirage music, life’s unsung tunes
fades away slow.

In the trembling spine of my parched shadow
hungry predators burrow harrowing dark hole,
as dry desolateness sucks me harshly hollow,
from the depth of soul.

Familiar faces turn to cactus of thorny sprawl,
blood desiccates in the cleft of fractured heart,
trunk of fossil life crumbles in parts or whole,
time trampled the dirt.

Waned neurons rise from psychedelic trance,
subliminal cortex networks fervently strive,
capture images of sprouting stars’ silent dance.
Am I alive?

YOUR LACUSTRINE BEAUTY

In the wasteland the tormented life made me make
The repentance wander in the wild conceding the mistake
The nimbus clouds hovered overhead but I couldn’t take
The rains, they dried making a desert for me in the wake
Until you came, created an oasis where you became a lake.

You made in my deep depression torrents of fluid joy to flow
In your tranquil depths you drowned my deranged sorrow
The breeze on face made ripples of smile in a charming show
Flooded by sunshine my dancing reflection I see on you glow.

In your sensuous serenity you dissolve my somber sky’s blue
I see all the hues of my twilight colors gleam in glory on you
Where the flight of ecstasy takes me then you don’t have clue.

If the drought of distress desiccates your desolate floor dry
My tears would flow to your core to fill you with love, I’d try.

For I don’t want to see the lacustrine beauty you ever lose.

When the squalls of tough times would give my life a shake
I’d sink within your placid water, still as the cosmos, below
Discover the bliss in me your aquatic touch would grow anew
On dreamy nights on the arms of your moonlit shore I’d lie
Drenched, I’d soak you deep within, keep in my heart close.

“From the shattered heart the streams of sorrow
with the shards of dream drowned in tears flow.” – By Poet

The cloud of gloom hovers over the sea of sorrow,
surges in distress tempest to my mental visage,
and melts to make the stream of tears to flow
like the trail of rain drops on the face of foliage.

With the brine condensing the pain of molten grief,
the tear drops are poised on the eyelashes for a while.
Like the raindrops on the edge of the leaning leaf,
they slide down slowly with the dream debris pile.

Down the parched crease of the pallid cheeks,
cascade the silent streams of soothing solace.
The touch of the serene soul the mourning mind seeks
in the course of tears and in its embalming embrace.

The wasteland of life is flooded by the torrent of despair,
until from ruins of broken heart the new sun rises with grace,
and desiccates the trail of the drops of tear,
veiling the trace of sorrow for the mind to erase.

In the secluded seashore of isolation islands,
people build desire castles with dream sands,
protect the fragile precincts with fervent care
from the beleaguering waves breaking on them.
The strife surge washes away the forlorn abodes,
grief is hidden in insular souls of lonely people.

With magical spell I will change them into
convivial people, they will be gregarious.

Behind the closed windows on sunlit meadows,
enveloped by the seamless drape of dismal darkness,
people morph into dense slices of moonless night.
Along their formless periphery I pass them by,
but can’t see through the obscurity, can’t perceive
the true substance of the opaque people.

With magical spell I will turn them into
transparent people, they will shine like crystals.

Reticent people fly like frigid birds in the misty sky,
their restrained wings flap aloof in the chilled wind.
In the crevasse of their glacial hearts
frozen emotions sink, can’t soar in the spring sky.
The warm embrace of empathy they don’t feel,
for they are condemned as cold people.

With magical spell I will convert them into
affable people, they will conform congeniality.

Despondent people make their lives desolate desert,
the charm of oasis desiccates in the dunes of discontent.
Blazed by the flare of their scorched minds
the foliage of ardent passions burns, doesn’t rustle
with the tune of impassive melody of their hearts,
for they are denounced as wooden people.

With magical spell I will transform them into
verdant trees, they will sprout joie de vivre.

In their hearts lapped by the Arctic sea
frozen emotions sink, can’t swim.
Warm embrace of empathy they don’t find,

Premium Member The Sonata Of Silence

The moist meadow of my heart
desiccates in desolation like a desert,
dispersed clouds of parched passion
make my mirage mind the deceptive sky.

The halcyon horizon I call mine waits
for the argentine moon to rise,
send from the fervent sparkling skyline
the sequins of your charisma
to swathe my sheltered shades of blues.

From the surge of sequestered sandstorm
the sands of my derelict desire drift away
from the shifting dunes of deprivation.
The dry oasis within me doesn’t remember
it was once an epitome of my longing.

Away from the wilderness of my loneliness
in the far away fawn forest,
I wish you turn into an emerald tree.
In its soothing shade I’ll like to repose,
hear the song of the leaves,
dancing in the breeze with your charm.

In the template of my seclusion,
the transient display of dreams
turns into lilting lyric of million steps
I walk to reach you,
setting free the captive heart
that quivers like the wasteland willow.

As the motif of my resolute essence
repudiates the reprisal of catharsis,
at the edge of your serenading fading shadow
I sense in the sanctum of my fossilized time
the sonata of silence.

TRAIL OF TEAR

Clouds rise from the supine sea of sorrow,
surge in storm wind to my eyes’ inner visage
and melt to make the stream of tear to flow
like the frail rain drops on the face of foliage.

With the condensed brine of molten grief
the tear drop is poised on the eyelash tip,
like the raindrop on the edge of leaning leaf
it descends gently for it has promises to keep.

Down the dry cleft of the distressed cheek
it cascades like a slim river of soothing solace.
The touch of the serene soul the mind seeks
in the flow of tear and in its moist embrace.

The barren life is flooded awhile in despair
till new sun rises from ruins of broken heart
and desiccates the trail of the drop of tear
that hides sorrow in the lost river of desert.

(Note : Being a non-demonostrative person I was surprised
as well as proud to be able to trace the trail of my tear
in poetic expression.)
