poetry defines me
i like a well-turned rhyme
impatient, the plot eludes me
sense, nonsense, matters not
~ elephants, too, bang their pots
Your name defines my love, a song flowing through my entire being,
Your presence is the rhythm of my heart, the metronome of our eternal dance,
To keep your smile ever alive, I vowed to embrace any pain,
Even when envy and indifference wait to crush me under their weight.
I buried them far away when your lips whispered our first love,
Your words turned the world's burden into a gentle, warm breeze,
You saw my imperfections and never turned away from our path,
How could I deny your flaws when they are stars in your vast sky?
Your flaws are part of you, a puzzle that only I can understand,
If my heart has room for you, it will always have room for them too,
Being together means more than always walking side by side in life,
It's about growing, healing, and rising together on our journey.
I have never been more grateful for the gift you offer me,
With you, I discovered the light that long awaited to be set free,
We rewrote stories and shaped our destinies in an eternal embrace,
In a world where love flows forever, and we are waves in motion.
Character defines us- reputation is what is assumed by others
The environment you are exposed to,
without question, ultimately defines you.
There is always hesitation that comes right before the truth can come out.
So that all that comes out is a soft sigh.
And then a conversation that seems heartless.
My friend will leave with a sense that there is a void within me.
I will leave with relief as I whisper my secrets to myself.
Your royalty defines you
You are either
on the right
Or
You are either
on the left
Which ever
side you are
You still
got to fight
And your
fight defines your
royalty while
your royalty defines you.
The late night sleep,
Spent my days with the phone in my hand,
And a pair of speakers in my ears
Doesn't defines me.
All day with phone in my hands,
Songs played from the list and,
The energy I receive,
That defines me.
The words I speak,
With the aggression people give,
For a minute or more,
Doesn't defines me.
The aggression people give,
The way I act as them around me,
The way I love,
That defines me.
The way I roam,
With no wants of my own,
But the responsibilities I carry,
Doesn't defines me.
With wants of my own,
Not careless but carefree,
The satisfaction shown,
That defines me.
The person people choose,
Me to be,
The way they take me,
As granted or luck,
Doesn't defines me.
The way I take them,
Eyes of hater,
Or the ships to take care ignoring how tough
That defines me.
My behaviour is like a mirror
It reflects your attitude towards me
My love is like a locked arrow
To get it you need a fitting key
My heart is a glass of wine
You drink from it what you pour
My actions are like a garden
You reap from it what you grow
My mind is like the winds
It follows no one's laws
My personality is like the monsoons
It has a specific path it blows
My life is like the moon
It have a dark side no one knows
Knowing me is like a coming dawn
It gets darker as it arrives
I think; therefore, I am
No, you breathe --

and occupy space --

It pauses as it comes and goes
Surprises us or on command
Privately only you will know
Unwilling but can be planned
One minute be there then lost
Tends to make you laugh or cry
Straight forward even crossed
Births the need so we can try
So kind, and a precious tender
Forever there at times or brief
Can be a delightful splendor
The lore in all our own beliefs
In truth the root of temptation
As it will follow us into our sleep
Is the beginning of all creation
Light hearted or seriously deep
Its what defines our very reality
Will be passing or can be caught
It shapes our very personality
What defines us is our "Thoughts"
As in many,many poems and novels
Baseball is something that defines the American people
Thinking of the season ahead
Realizing that I did not watch my health carefully when young
Happy to make it to 63
And happy to watch the New York Metropolitans in their quest
for glory
So what
Defines me
Is it the stories
Or poetry
Is it my sheer
Perseverance
And finishing touch
It took so long
For me to master such
Can I define love through the nature's face?
Both relaxing like grasses in the plain
Can you contrast them in numerous ways?
Both similar like the teardrops of rain,
It gives warm to my body like sunlight
Appears fruitful and larger like a tree
Creates hope in the night like a moonlight
Goes deeper and deeper like the blue sea,
So clear like the waters in the wide pond
It brings color like rainbows in the sky
It's with me like the soil and roots great bond
It's a river flowing until I die
Yes, I can define it without trouble
As long as I live it is possible

Your failures don’t define you
Nor do your achievements
What defines you
Is the way you treat someone
Who can’t give you anything
In return.
As day departs, and light retreats,
echoes of night beseech thee...
to rest thine soul, drift away from sight,
to find hidden dreams within me.
The sky so dark, twinkling stars so bright,
illuminating paths before thee...
flowing rain in streams, winding through old trees,
to find hidden life within me.
Screams of plight, drown out silent night,
clawing at tranquility that soothes thee...
to erase thoughts of love, streaming down from above,
to betray healing hands that guide me.
With night-time so cruel, heavy heart seeks renewal,
guiding light, shining bright before thee...
to wash away pain, instill hope once again,
to unveil all that fails to define me.
