What Defines Us
It pauses as it comes and goes
Surprises us or on command
Privately only you will know
Unwilling but can be planned
One minute be there then lost
Tends to make you laugh or cry
Straight forward even crossed
Births the need so we can try
So kind, and a precious tender
Forever there at times or brief
Can be a delightful splendor
The lore in all our own beliefs
In truth the root of temptation
As it will follow us into our sleep
Is the beginning of all creation
Light hearted or seriously deep
Its what defines our very reality
Will be passing or can be caught
It shapes our very personality
What defines us is our "Thoughts"
