Confused but not dazed

You confuse me but never daze me,
Who are you if i scrape the surface.
Will i find the real you or not.
Do you exist or was i dreaming.
In the darkness of foggy night ,
Would you venture into the shadows,
Seek me out hold my hand if u dare,
For I am the shadow of nightmare.
Will you ,wont you come to my domain,
Search your mind look for my name,
Its easy to find if you know where to look,
Study letters ,ancient manuscripts and books.
Reveal your secrets to your self deny them not,
In your soul all begins can you create a world within,
Awaken to behold all that is false and untrue,
Discern for yourself break the mould.
No more a pawn or a slave to those who rule,
Be true to yourself no more the fool,
worry never what others may say,
The one is coming on a far off day.

Dazed

I've been dazed and confused
From the day I met you
Yeah I lost my mind
And I'd do it again
Either I've seen the light
Or I'm losing my mind
There's something about you
That's got me dazed and confused.
I wanna be alone
Alone with you
Does that make sense,I don't care
I want to steal you away
And lock you away in a treasure chest

Angels.
How many they asked
Could dance on the head of a pin?
I’m thinking
Why are they dancing
Don’t they have wings?

Rocks
Could God make one
So big He couldn’t lift it?
I’m thinking
Have you seen my book bag?

Martyrs
Nuff said.
I’m thinking
No one’s showing up for the tryouts.

Fasting
Look, I’m a kid
I’m thinking
It’s a cookie
Game over.

Math
She asked
How much is one plus one
I’m thinking
You mean you don’t know?

She called my name
Asked what I was thinking
I’m thinking
PBJ, six Oreos, chocolate milk.

Dazed

Last week on Wednesday
I was thinking the same thought
I am thinking today.

Time gets dazed out of mind,
gets rotated and recycled.
Each day is a next card
in an unshuffled pack.

The repetition is comforting
a pillow for a dazed head,
a microwaved chicken dinner
you can warm up once again.

The same can always
trip you up, make you see
the probability
of yet more stones upturned.

Wednesday gets dressed,
walks out into the early shine
finds a stone to overturn

nothing to see
but last week a millipede
wriggled away
marking another day.

My dear, I shall feel such splendor
When you're finally six-feet under.

Woke up this morning groggy and dazed
Must have slept well, my eyes were all glazed
Walked into a wall
Then peed in the hall
Cut myself shaving, bled profusely from my face

Dazed and Confused

The world is a fog..
Everything seems twisted
Everything seems out of balance
Everyone is dazed and confused
Fog so heavy
Can cut the fog with a knife
Where is everyone?
Where is my destination?
Where shall I go?
I cannot see
The fog is thick
The fog has surrounded the entire atmosphere
I have found my destination
In disbelief
No vision applys here
My brain is on auto pilot
Brain fog saved the day
On auto pilot
No senses are required..

Dazed and Confused

Dazed and confused
She sadly feels used
No one was there for her
As she took lots of abuse
With all this happening
No one seemed trustworthy
Always living on the edge
She is in a constant state of worry

A Dazed State From Your Eyes

It's so weird
how this feeling came to be
All you've ever been to me was a friend
a friend so trustworthy
yet in the light when I see your face
something stops me for a moment
a silent pause
At night, it feels like the stars light up your eyes
fixed in a daze only to realize
you're still standing there waiting
for me to say something
or just stop staring
Unknown it remains
Anyway it's all the same
afraid to say it in person
of course for the obvious reasons
Fear of what you would say
accompanied by the thought of
have you already figured it out
Maybe the thought of you crosses my mind
every once in awhile
as the moon follows the walking sun
Can this be done
Are you willing to see a different side of me
Will you take my hand and accompany me
to see a world I call my own
something I never showed anyone

Poetic musings in the post holi-daze

Living downstairs from the centipede
one dreads the hours of waiting
for the “other” shoe to drop.

the bottom half of the moon smiled
grinning through the haze of dawn
soft glow casting soft shadows
across the glistening hoarfrost

sitting outside the homes
they once filled with joy
green brittle branches crack
under the weight of failed promise

wild spinning whirr of life’s impatience
shatters the silence of snow’s quilt
tosses the ice chips of “reality”
atop the warmth of hidden dreams.

“of what use are gloves
to fingers that comprehend
only mittens”.

In response to the question:
“How many ways up the mountain?”
Religions exert the inane belief
there is only one way up the mountain.

Opportunity no longer knocks.
It can, however, be downloaded.
