ode to stones
ode to stones!
best before tomorrow
best to do right now
aint no time
like the present
we can off with a WOW!
don't worry yourself
over ah-we-ah's
when the ooh wee's
makes's the point
crooning about something
that aint love
maybe the composer missed
their point
ooh be dee Do-wow do wow!
scat- dew-be do wow: do wow!
Kiss me in the moring
just love me the night before!
get it right
here come ah storm
we'll snuggle in
nice and warm
It cannot be blah, simple or plain
And it must hold books said Daddy Dane
It must be outstanding, like a tree
Something to catch the eye of Bree
Bree was a woman who loved a good book
She was a glorious baker, and sometimes a cook
Daddy Dane had his eye on her for sure
The book nook he built was pretty and pure.
Bree spent many an hour reading in there
Daddy Dane watched her twist her pretty hair
Did he ever make a move? Someone asked me.
No, He was terrified he might be rebuffed by Bree.
A high-strung duck on a ranch up in Maine
is best pals with a wistful Great Dane
One goes quack! Quack! Quack!
while the other lays back
Their friendship is hard to is hard to explain

A Great Dane kind, giving, and mellow
is Idaho’s most saintly fellow
Whenever he’s near
folks clap, chant and cheer:
You’re the pride of all Pocatello!
A much-celebrated psychic Great Dane
Has his fans waltzing down memory lane
A dandy clairvoyant
And often flamboyant
Folks greet friends who no longer remain

Wayne a Great Dane,
from a princely court
was playing in the courtyard.
He rolled and fell short
in the castle moat.
A good sport
he was. With laughter roar
from the royal court;
out his nose water he snorted.

We drove down the road. I saw such wondrous things. My eyes took in the steep sided grassy valley. In the bottom was a sparkling river. Sun reflected on the water which flowed over rocks. The small river had cut the valley. No more than a stream.
It wound lazily, climbed steeply in places and was powerful in size. They said Vikings settled here. I see no evidence. The local village was set up by Danes. They named it, their legacy. Both vocal and in stone.
Looking up from the river, up the valley side, I see a tree. A huge one by the road. The base must be twenty feet thick. And two hundred high. It's a Danish tree. Transported here as a seed by soldiers. A thousand years old.
I've seen such trees in Denmark. In that tranquil little country, the highest places are trees. There are no hills or mountains there. And only one small two metre waterfall there. Nothing like this stunning one. The Danish invaders must have loved this land.
I want us to stop and sleep under the tree. To hike up the river. Our time here is so brief. We have other sites to see. Will they be magnificent like these?

Could Be Great Dane A Crane or My Cane
Could be great Dane a crane and my cane,
Which surely with me will always remain;
Great weather;
Still together,
Until they drastically do drive me insane.

Paleontologist Steve called in another expert.
Where did you find this? The second scientist asked me.
My heart was beating furiously.
Back yard I told him.
How far down?
Of course I cannot be certain,
for when the Great Dane digs, the Great Dane digs.
I was wishing Yellow Fellow was here to take care of this.
But since he does not drive or speak to strangers, here I am.
My dog dug it up.
Joe looked at Steve and said “You are correct. This is amazing.”
He looked at me. “I believe this is a Stegosaurus bone, he said.
Can we get you to sign a release and send it to our lab?”
“You can have it,” I said.
They called me a week later to ask permission to dig up the rest
of my yard. I told them “no,” for Yellow Fellow had already been
doing that and there were no more bones. Also I wanted my bone back.
I had been building my Stegosaurus model in the garage you see,
and I was short one bone.
There once was an elf name of Molly
Who every day wore Christmas Holly
She whirled and she twirled
She danced and she swirled
This darling young elf name of Molly
An observant young elf name of Dane
Was in love with young Molly, insane.
When she was around,
His jokes knew no bounds
This totally in love elf named Dane
Everyone who has money

Norwegians tell Fred, also an
economist who flew in from Yale.
After a three-day seminar in the
Antarctic, the four men sit down
with tankards of ale, each comfy
in a chaise lounge chair on
an ice floe slowly melting.
Back at Yale, CNN interviews Fred
about his book on the seminar.
The CIA is now investigating.

Everyday is your birthday
and a holiday,
your life and time... worth
more than a day,
each moment marks the
birth of great memories,
of a great mother
unlocking matchless
legacies.
Happy birthday to a star
that shines all day,
Special wishes of love on
this precious day!
For me, you mean more
than I can say.
You are a key that opens
paradise'... way.
For you, this birthday
ought to be a sparkling sun
Overriding all the other
shining stars.
For me, your birthday is
another occasion
to show you God's love
with purest passion!
I wished to present you a
lot of flowers, but none of
them is as beautiful, as
your heart.
I wanted to paint your
portrait with a super star,
but it can't be compared to
your awesome art,
Soar to the skies, snug the
moonlight,
blow beautiful balloons,
give them flight.
Hold unto your allure and
God's golden grains,
on this happy day, count
your great gain.
Happy Birthday great
friend, mother and mentor

Dane Ann stood beside me in my darkest hour
A poet with a remarkable power
To alleviate stress in times so sour
Her kindness and generosity empower
In thanks I extend a poetic flower
