I Wish I Could Leave

I dreamed about the snow-topped
Pines of Michigan
Wishing I Could Go Back
And See Them Again

I dreamed about the voluminous
Mountains of California
Wishing I could go Back
And take someone out to Dinner

I dreamed about the scenic
Seascapes from Mexico
Wishing I could go Back
And have one of their native tacos

I dreamed about cosmopolitan
Toronto in Canada
Wishing I Could go Back
And view a city, it seems, without a flaw

I dreamed about
A better tomorrow
Wishing I could go forward
And travel instead of being in sorrow

Confluence

Streams mingle with rivers
And rivers mingle with oceans
while oceans reconcile the distinction
Like humans converging from regions

Civilization marks a local population
Originating back to their initiation
Modern trends reconcile the differences
Substituting Regionalism with cooperation

People shuttling from country to country
Mingling one another into the sixth ocean
Time by time removed the separation
Both in inherited values and appearance
A cosmopolitan of civilization appears

As the scene being shown in Australia
The continent lives people from everywhere
They're converging themselves into
A fresh civilization- the spirit of Australian

Ode To Kuala Lumpur

Oh Kuala Lumpur, city of contrasts
Where ancient and modern, beautifully coexist
Your towering skyscrapers, a sight to behold
A modern metropolis, that never grows old

From the iconic Petronas Twin Towers
To the bustling streets of Bukit Bintang
A city that never sleeps, always alive
A true cosmopolitan, that continues to thrive

Amidst the concrete jungle, there lies
A hidden gem, that captures the eyes
The Batu Caves, a natural wonder
A sacred shrine, that never loses its thunder

Your street food scene, a culinary delight
From nasi lemak to roti canai, each a bite
A melting pot of flavors, that tantalize
A foodie paradise, that leaves us mesmerized

And let's not forget your people, so warm
A friendly smile, that always reforms
A diverse community, that welcomes all
A city of unity, that stands tall

Oh Kuala Lumpur, how you enchant
A city of dreams, that we all want to plant
A place of endless possibilities, that never cease
Kuala Lumpur, with Petronas Twin Towers, you truly please.

Sing With Me My Darling

Oh Mary dear honey, My sweet little beehive loving you as you carry our baby. whose mind is linked with frog-eyed spirits from within the smoldering sun. In this sheltered home in a land of mystique a cosmopolitan all hands concomitantly together a wall of hands and people guided by their ministrant of possibility. So sing with me darling no not I sing with us for us is me and I is us we all nestle upon our bridge that we set to take.

Premium MemberReading a Memory

Begins with Rupert Bear,
Until that was found too square;
Then Just William came on the scene,
But soon became a childish has-been.

Youth-filled reading,a melanged mix,
Biggles & squadron,sixty-six;
The hero,Algy & Ginger against the hun,
Adventures that made him number one.

Onto Enid's Famous Five,
Long before PC, could deprive;
Julian,Anne George & Rick
In books,fast moving and slick.

Growing into mid-teens,
And weekly,Hollywood magazines;
Adolescence & steamy Jansen,
As puberty surfaced,so sudden.

The adult library then opened wide,
Answering questions,none could hide;
So many books read, good, poor & rotten,
MInd-blowing but ,so cosmopolitan.

Silvia Queen of Sweden Our Queen

A noble woman
       among the nobility...
        humanist in
         humanity...
         humble in the middle
         the superb...
         Solidarity inside
         of the sick world,
          Welcoming in the middle
          to so much need,
          spiritual, in the midst
          of disbelief...
          engaged in serving
           in the midst of indifference...
          tender and affable
           Amid
           incongruities,
           cosmopolitan in
           half the world
           xenophobic... extra.,
           extraordinary
           person... nice person,
           buona gente !

Mayo and Fries

The whole world knows that
Adding vinegar to chips and fish
Turns the whole offering into
An almost Earth shattering dish,
But how many people know,
How many people realise
The amazing effect to be had
By adding Mayo to your fries.

Almost a Damascus Road event
The first time that you try it
Just take the humble spud
And very quickly deep fry it
Then take a huge dollop of
That thick yellow stuff
Don’t worry just how much
You can never have enough.

A nice thick blob to make
A very tasty tasty dip
Then use one by one
On every single chip.
An explosion of joy
Follows each immersion
It really is a case of
Taste bud subversion.

Oh vinegar can be nice
It never ever goes to waste
But lather on the yellow stuff
For that cosmopolitan taste.
It’s the simpler things in life
That can give it zest and glow
Like a bag of red hot chips
And a splodge of Mayo.

You can keep your Fine Dining,
Your food artfully arranged
Your Meat barely cooked,
Oh how things have changed,
Just give me fish and ‘taties,
Wrapped and ready to go
To be Eaten with the fingers
Hot fish and ‘taties alfresco

The Fish Rots From the Head

Fish and chips and a pint of dark brew.
Malt vinegar and lashings of salt.
A fish dinner served up
by a truck in a newspaper cone.

That was then, that was before
taste buds got hard boiled,
before the bowtie culture wars.

Pickled onions are now too small
they should have stayed big and brown
something saucy and sour to munch on
while walking around London town.

Peas pudding, jellied eels,
pork pie to tempt our eyes.
Mostly all gone
or not the same.
Shame,
for now we are cosmopolitan
even here in the Midwest
we are upscale in the fine dining fare.

French, Italian, Bolivian, Mongolian,
Mexican and Estonian, it's all good
or can be, but

fish and chips wrapped in newspaper,
nothing better!

Cultural Identity

Yes, I realize Paris is just
          magic when night falls...
          Vienna is a mysterious dream
           in the obscure night...
New York city is multiculturalism. !
          Rio is wonderful
          in light or dark...
          But my place is
          prettier anytime!
          I love people
           from all over the world...
           I'm frankly
           cosmopolitan...
          But above all,
          I'm movingly
          Paraiba... !

Most of All I Write Poetry

I create beauty while I support
 everyone and me...
I am universal and
cosmopolitan being
my own owner...
I love humanity
and I love life...
I am a tamer of my
inner beast and peacemaker
of this bellicose world.
Advisor of what
nothing conceive... but

Winter Poem

The cold of the winter
Duffel coats and bobble hats
Red, white and green
Christmas is nigh

The streets of London
Paved with precious grey
Up in a smoke
A concrete jungle of sorts

Robins, blackbirds and magpies
Green cosmopolitan valleys
Gardens of earth

Salons and appointments
Non locals come in
Traffic jams
Oil, mixed with water
Making wondrous rainbows

Global warming
We guess and wonder
When it will snow
Aiming for December
Then falling in March

The anthems of the city
Sound and complete
Even the sounds
Of thunder and sleet

The new theory of thundersnow
What do the planets think
Of our global terror?

More clothes on
More things gone to waste
Autumn gone but sticking together
A tradition of perfection
The birth of jesus

Comfort of Heart

How familiar but hazy this barn,
with taints of everything I'd known,
or felt I knew ---
my modern lifestyle
had been too cosmopolitan, false -
Sunset glimmered on the rusty sills,
yet the comfort grew warmer
and I was finally
in an abode I belonged,
the smell of baked potatoes
drifting on--
where time walked these shoes
back in grandparents' home.

To Ceo

Cosmopolitan look of this CEO
Perfectly carved in a ratio

Suit dark suits him much
He rocks in all seasons such

Hailing from Guntur chilli region
Bay of Bengal being his swimming station

Blessed with two teenaged gals
Fortunate to have princesses and pals

May his birthday fetch him success
With peace prolific and royal riches..!

Above the Weather

- after Rihanna's lyrics for "Umbrella"-

Let's go, go retail,
Yes, I love you, I love you in all that intimate detail,
You bring out my savage stock,
You make a monster of me, freeing sure lock,
Fly 'bove the weather, whether or not
         we're kept in store,
My Madame Ambassador.
Let' em talk talk,
Hey, my Isle'd Madonna, where you at? I'll walk.

You are my heart,
Not thousands of planets apart,
So Cosmopolitan,
Neopolitan,
You are my diamond,
Baby, my nightly fund,
And, that's when I need you there,
We will share our share
Because...

I'm Sunshine, we'll be forever,
My Moon, we're stars when together,
Say you'll always be...
