Premium Member Archivist of Small Records

He slides open a shallow drawer,
its wood catching slightly
before giving way.

Inside, the day’s minor slips:
a receipt with a transposed digit,
a label peeled at one corner,
a measurement off by the width
of a pencil mark.

He sorts them without hurry.
Each paper earns its place
only after he reads it twice,
sometimes three times,
to be sure the flaw is real.

A pencil rests near his hand,
shortened from use,
its point dulled by careful work.
He sharpens it only when needed,
never in anticipation.

Some errors he sets aside~
not rejected, simply waiting
until their purpose clarifies.
He has learned that small mistakes
reveal themselves slowly.

Near midday he finds one
in his own notes:
a digit written too quickly,
leaning out of line.
He corrects it without comment,
then files it with the others.

When the drawer closes,
the room settles.
Nothing finished,
nothing abandoned~
just consistency and
the quiet record
of what the world overlooks.

Technological Breakdown

Technology has done much good,
but can’t cure the common cold,
it can keep you looking young,
but not from growing old.
'Let your fingers do the walking,'
used to be the plan,
nowadays, it's all thumbs and emojis,
as smart phones dumb down man.
When online, doing a search,
no matter what I type,
the 'engine' always knows best
and 'corrects' my text to the current hype.
Mostly, I'm so tired of being asked,
by AI, 'How did we do?'
when, in the end, I did all the work,
now, how about you?

LOVE HAPPY

Love is happy, it makes you feel complete, it takes you to places that you never need to weep.
Love is patience, it gives you time, it grows, it learns, it comes back and corrects all its mistakes and grows with time.
Love is kind, it learns, it cares, it puts all your interests first, making you never feel hurt.
Love sits, it loves, it endures, it has ways, that make all of our days feel fabulous.
Love has pull, it tugs at our heart and leads us to our love true spark.
Love is like the ocean, endless with power, quiet than violent, calm and cool, making us ponder its mood.
Love is you, making me happy with each day we journey through this life.
Lifting prayers to God, today and always.

Premium Member The Universe is Whole

The Universe corrects itself

Each and every time

What seems to get out of hand

          To be too much

                    Extremities

Always reach a breaking point

And what is dark and bleak

Will eventually see the light

Though it comes in varying forms

          It will arrive

No matter how far you have gone

No matter how high you have risen

No matter how deep of hole you dug

No matter how bruised you have gotten

          The sun will rise

          The moon will set

          The storm will cease

          The fog will lift

To fix what is broken

And reset what is fixed

          All the while

The Universe keeps breathing

--

The New Era

The world does not change loudly.
It shifts.
Like a verdict delivered in silence.

What decayed
learns to breathe again.
What once lived
steps aside.
The cycle corrects itself
without apology.

Humanity was never born for cruelty.
Cruelty was learned.
Love is the original instinct.
And it is returning.

Those who fed on shadow
will not cross with us.
They will remain
where fear still feeds fear.
Each soul builds
the world it deserves.

The Earth is patient.
But it is done repeating lessons.

A new age rises slowly.
Not with miracles,
but with awareness.

Man will lift his eyes to the stars.
Not to conquer.
But to remember kinship.
Thought will travel faster than flesh.
Dreams will open doors
maps never could.

We searched for God
as if He were absent.
Only now do we realize
He was searching for us.

This life—
a stage.
A script rewritten.
Actors awakening mid-scene.

The old drama ends.
Not in fire.
But in understanding.

The New Era does not punish.
It reveals.
And what cannot evolve
is gently left behind.

Premium Member Our Rhythm of Life

The beat within our life spins fast
from when we're born, the dye is cast
its axis rests upon our past.
To us this is a given
we climb aboard its rhythm.

The music that we like we choose
as we put on our dancing shoes
but, sometimes choice is how we lose.
Opening minds is all it takes
learning them corrects mistakes.

When set upon a different style
we're open to be versatile
new rhythmic music can compile.
Our world will keep on turning
our fires keep on burning.

We all should move toward the light
together, we can make it right
then dance away both day and night.
Sway in perfect symmetry
rhythmic perfect imagery.

The quest is this, we all should know
when life becomes to fast, we slow
for we can all control its flow.
Rhythmic change in ev'ry way
improves our lives ev'ry day.

 Our rhythm of Life.

Habeas Corpus, And Injustice

Habeas Corpus — gentle Writ —
That taps the iron Door —
And bids the Body answer —
Where Silence ruled before —

It questions Stone — and Custom —
And Power — robed in Law —
Asks Why is this one hidden?
What Crime — or only Awe?

For Chains may learn to reason —
When Justice finds a Voice —
And Error — long enthroned —
Is startled by a Choice —

The Cell rehearses Morning —
At hearing of the Name —
My Truth — that walks in daylight —
Unashamed —

Correct an Injustice — softly —
As Dawn corrects the Night —
Not with a Sword — but Certainty —
That Wrong — was never Right —

For Liberty is modest —
Yet persistent — as the Sea —
It only asks the Question —
Why am I not — now Free?

Premium Member A Thanksgiving Reflection

On this day of Thanksgiving,
A time of year most favorable
For a heartfelt reminiscing
Of those things for which I’m most grateful.

For the Father’s perfect love,
And the Son, Eternal Logos;
For the Holy Spirit from above,
And Our Lady Theotokos;
For the Church who does restore us,
And the Scriptures she maintains;
For the saints who came before us,
And the martyrs who were slain.

For my husband’s heart of gold,
And my family who’s always there;
For my silly cat, so hot-and-cold,
And my car that takes me anywhere;
For my home, a refuge from the storm,
And my job that lets me eat;
For the clothes that keep me warm,
And the shoes that shield my feet.

For the day which gives us sun,
And the quiet dominion of night;
For the summer’s carefree fun,
And the winter’s tranquil might;
For the light that corrects and guides,
And the dark that lets it shine;
For the joy we cannot hide,
And the pain that shapes and refines.

For the triumphs that make my heart sing,
And the trials that keep me grounded;
I am grateful for everything,
For by blessings I am surrounded.

Premium Member Me in Three

What do I like about my life?
an easy answer now from me.
The first, to be a loving wife
then, next in line my children three.
Grandchildren to, are my delight
good friends I also love to see.
My health is without too much strife
I’m really where I want to be.

There is not much that I regret
somethings, If I could rearrange.
Then plans of mine I may have met
whereby my attitude could change.
Not be so ridged and so set
because I found it all so strange.
However, looking back, you bet
I’d be more open to exchange.

I hope my future years are long
because, I still have much to do.
I hope my heath will still stay strong,
and my old mind remains sharp too.
I hope to hear the birdies song
that greets each morning when brand new.
I hope our world corrects what’s wrong
and peace across our earth comes true.

Inadequacy is not an excuse in the kingdom of God

There are no excuses in the Kingdom of God
It is God’s Kingdom and
He will provide for the situation

You have a coach
So don’t approach a situation
Without the Holy Spirit!

He advises, corrects, instructs, trains, tutors, guides
directs and prepares you for your assignment

The Kingdom of God has everything you need while
You are on earth, so ask in His Name and
Align your prayers with His Purpose

You have a coach
So don’t approach a situation
Without the Holy Spirit!

Premium Member Sticklers versus HippyDippys

The Sticklers are rule-followers; they do seventeen weekly have-tos.
There is no room for flexibility, or deviation from their parents’ teachings.
Have to go to church, read the Bible, pray daily, on their knees.
Have to go to grandma’s every Sunday, bring a pot roast, wash the dishes.
Have to read the Bible with grandma, aloud, as she corrects you.
There are so many have-to’s, there is no time to play, laugh, or sing.
Many of the Sticklers have gone crazy, are in mental institutions.

There are minimal have-to’s in their distant cousin, the Hippydippy’s lives.
They enjoy their weekends; doing what they want when they want.
Freedom to dance, sing, cartoon, paint, knit, crochet, color, fish or golf.
They know about the Bible, but they are not scheduled to it.
Grandma knows they love her, they see her when it is convenient.
She’s usually on a cruise anyway.
None of the Hippydippys have ever gone crazy.

Premium Member Unity in diversity

Distanced from source, earth’s ego falls to winter’s
death clutch, with life exhaling mournfully,
hibernating, hoping for God graced reprieve …
   dark night of the soul.

Fortunately gravity corrects orbits,
with Spring promised, provided heart holds steady,
through the trials caused by soul’s choice to rebel …
   God waits for His son.

Designed to teach, refrains repeat until we
see the beauty displayed by fleeting shimmers
emanating from the motionless fulcrum …
   known when we so see.

ERASER

Everybody has a past.
Everyone makes their mistakes.
But they are not there to last.
Time heals wounds that judgement makes.

Human, we are all only...
So it is safe assuming that
We can leave our errors lonely
At the drop of our said hat.

Pencils have their rubbers and
White out corrects our pen.
Backspace with a keyboard hand...
Now overrides back then.

There is a saying - that best cold...
Revenge served in its dish.
But then I think, when I grow old
Will this still be my wish?

Dwelling on my yesterday
Will not see me get anywhere.
All I can do is make my way
Using today to get me there.

When it comes to what has been
On those otherwise cloudy days,
Any storms that I have seen
And lived through, my mind can erase.

Key Verse – Jeremiah 4:2 And thou shalt swear, The LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS TRUTH
HE WANTS US TO LIVE IN

Praise be to God for His truth
He wants us to live in as we:
Seek Him by His goodness
Submit to Him with His grace
Stand for Him with our gratitude
Surrender to Him by His gentleness
Sacrifice unto Him along His generosity

Jeremiah 5:24 Praise be to the Lord for instilling in us
reverential fear in Him Who:
Chastens us for our transgressions
Comforts us with His tenderness
Cleansing us during our trials
Cares for us in our testings
Corrects us with His truth

Jeremiah 6:16 Praise be to the Saviour
for enabling us to stand in His ways to:
Walk by His guidance
Watch for His goodness
Work around His guarding
Worship amidst His gladness
Waver not against His governing. Amen!

Happy Father's Day

For whom, we all have seen the earth's light,
He is Father;who has made our life so bright.
For him only we can spend our life comfortably
And he is the one,who carries all burden silently.
The person is father,who indulges our all caprices;
And tries to keep wholeheartedly his promises.
After seeing father, a little child prances like a colt
Father is the one who corrects our fault.
Bearing with all troubles, he protects his family,
Only he knows very well the agony.
Father is the person who never wants to see our dismay,
So let us celebrate together the "Father's Day"
