hear the voice
of a painful truth.
Your arrogance
has built walls
around your souls.
Walls so high
that you no longer see
your own reflection.
Walls so strong
that you struggle
to recognize
the humanity
of others.
And every wall
built against others
eventually becomes
a prison
for those within.
You speak
of human rights.
But too often,
only for yourselves.
You speak
of peace.
But too often,

History remembers.
And so does
the universe.
Oppression
has a price.
Exploitation
has a cost.

Whatever grows

The Animal from Flowers as Perfect Mistake
shivers of hot ice passed through my flesh of stone,
animal from carnivorous flowers with petals of crude vegetable blood,
you looked like a bad correct mistake made from pure intention,
from the mouth of the gentle lion to the tail of the ferocious large mouse.
you had not a bit nothing of a bone full of gnawed fiercely hard handsome,
in abundant lack you were a horse with a bouquet of soft sharp thorns,
gentle wild grazing violently on a pistachio concrete prairie,
designated confusedly in a clear stain of whisper that screams silently.
breeze solid vapor floating heavily through the dense transparent full air,
honor from sober drink of lucid hangover and badly drunk,
you goddess venom medicine that heals poisoning lightly deeply,
that bows revolted at the altar of its constructive destruction!
animal from old childhood chlorophyllery of red green blood,
you kissed me the last time first time for the eternity of the short moment,
tearing my whole rags the meadows of the grave that breathes,
to the wind inverse face the hair corollas from facts without living action.
your breasts to gather weaned emptied full of the milk of void,
your bad perfect mistake corrects me in my right error,
your animal flower tames the beast with its wild gentleness,
the last time first time you kissed me endlessly in a short moment!

Chimed Upper Room
Chimed new day shines...eagerly corrects an upper room looks,
An attic improving rapidly...promotes roams of diligence,
Lacks found bordered leathered album...trapped topped a cornered desk.
Cutting edge mounts an Everest...Grand Canyon grooves a pass,
Emptying a corridor...grants patience traces of sweat caught brow,
Weighty whatnots slothfully shift...relief of prized treasure.
Lives confined--stilled in a photograph...bound neath grained-hewn film,
Reviving breaths aids wiping palms...adjusting dust rules idle air,
Widen pupil's gaze...proffers freedom to locked memories.
A leisurely dance of fingers...entertaining a page,
Courses from staging consequences...flips driftingly e'er so oft,
Cherished persevered poignant times...plus occasional laughs.
Age feebly trades a gentle glance...to sights of swept-up youth,
Niagara Falls revisit eyes...interlude recalls Wordsworth,
Rousseau swells the lulls...till Longfellow's maiden turns a page.
A soothing thoroughness applied...o'er sovereignty once claimed,
Delighting a soul wanting remembrance...effervescence inched rise,
Bestilled processing images...icons pageants the heart.
Strokes into yesterdays...fulfill a distant emptiness,
Once existed in certainty...consequently in dreams of need,
Now physically held...persuades rising tips of a mouth.

We are like Jesus disciples
thinking we are all great
but Jesus corrects our thinking
showing up our sinful state
Jesus says to receive a child
in doing so in His name
you're also receiving His sender
for it's His purpose that He came
So now if you want to be great
you must be among God's least
the very least indeed says He
whether you're from west or east
God calls those to be great
who profess to be humbly meek
putting others always before themselves
living like Jesus whom they seek
