GRACE
    Key Holders [-] & [+] Door Openers
 RUMI

Mirrors seize and free; joys and fears; wherefore,
lost toss and turns while hope waits for morning,
gullible holds keys, knowledge opens door,

Faults are the measures by those that implore,
while patience corrects whose worth adds timing,
mirrors seize and free; joys and fears; wherefore,

The ins and outs of worth; toiling, --encore,
a failed piece that favors one who's holding,
gullible holds keys, knowledge opens door,

Past pools plus and minus the ID's score,
super balanced the pendulums swaying,
mirrors seize and free; joys and fears; wherefore,

Life game's unwinnable; Ace--Royal wars,
snake eyes, don't pass go ..., directly singing,
gullible holds keys, knowledge opens door,

When they announce the winners on All Fours,
be game change--their rules, your games to winning,
mirrors seize and free; joys and fears; wherefore,
gullible holds keys, knowledge opens door.

Il Pleut

Il Pleut

It rains torrentially
after long drought and disorder;
it rains drenching the empathetic
scraggy soil of the heart
it rains moistening the rocks of anger
crags of revenge and cracks of depravity
it rains covering the jealous holes with purity
healing the undesirable crevices of the being
it pours incessantly to cover and clean
the gaps of deceptive caves of life
it rains inside me constantly
stretching the cramped limbs
softening the being;
it skits with a susurrus
leading me to the lee
when all on a sudden
something goes wrong
influenced by someone’s lewd smile
 or a serein’s half-hearted dampening.
Rain of grace falls and falls
to soothe my ruffled feelings;
it corrects, it helps, it leads me
always to the right way.
When it rains in the forest of my being
where the tallest trees touch the sky
and the moon shines bright on the leaves
through the gnarled branches
lighting the dark parts of existence,
life becomes wholesome
peaceful and serene.
Removing the dryness and darkness of life
rain of grace falls and falls
perpetually to revive.

Chimed Upper Room

Chimed new day shines...eagerly corrects an upper room looks,
An attic improving rapidly...promotes roams of diligence,
Lacks found bordered leathered album...trapped topped a cornered desk.

Cutting edge mounts an Everest...Grand Canyon grooves a pass,
Emptying a corridor...grants patience traces of sweat caught brow,
Weighty whatnots slothfully shift...relief of prized treasure.

Lives confined--stilled in a photograph...bound neath grained-hewn film,
Reviving breaths aids wiping palms...adjusting dust rules idle air,
Widen pupil's gaze...proffers freedom to locked memories.

A leisurely dance of fingers...entertaining a page,
Courses from staging consequences...flips driftingly e'er so oft,
Cherished persevered poignant times...plus occasional laughs.

Age feebly trades a gentle glance...to sights of swept-up youth,
Niagara Falls revisit eyes...interlude recalls Wordsworth,
Rousseau swells the lulls...till Longfellow's maiden turns a page.

A soothing thoroughness applied...o'er sovereignty once claimed,
Delighting a soul wanting remembrance...effervescence inched rise,
Bestilled processing images...icons pageants the heart.

Strokes into yesterdays...fulfill a distant emptiness,
Once existed in certainty...consequently in dreams of need,
Now physically held...persuades rising tips of a mouth.

Miss Kim

I never met her
Even in my dreams
But she’s a sister
Who believes in me.

She corrects me
If I made mistakes
Her words motivate me
Trust myself again.

I thank her
She taught me so well
Through best and worst poems
She’s always right there.

We came in same country
Haven’t seen her closely
I know I’ll learn more
If we’ll get along...

Where Has My Saviour Gone

Darkness has enveloped the earth
Men stagger like drunkards and lean on each other
For they have rejected the Light and accepted the Philosophy of the World
But the Righteous are sheltered under His Wings
He guides them by their heart and they have nothing to fear
For their Salvation is at hand.

He is ever watching over me
Every thought he knows before I can do the deed
He corrects, holds me, calls me out
Before its too late or before I can fall.
Oh I love this God of mine
Call out to Him when there is still time.

Dystopian Reality

Shattered bottled up dreams
strewn in callous fashion,
litter those Tobacco roads
of man-made poverty
Cancerous amorality
is the accepted dystopian reality
Majority rule by the metal ballot law ...
second finger got a gun pressed to the jaw
Diablo destiny decree:
Dos digital corrects any uno analog flaw
This warped sensibility
is the venal logic served pucker raw
A lot of lip sizzle buttery undercooked,
a lot of dead bang thievery overlooked
Ash fault neglect
is heaped on the next generation
of social experimentation
Petri dish promises
are furtive cloned assertions
Silky slick politricking on the wifi
(why fi-nance poor citizens’ aspirations)
is a web of deceit ...
tax-deductible alm desertion
Roll the lively military drums,
let the drones deliver
a hollow incoming death hum
Victory is counted as being “less of,”
cull the bottom feeders of a wolfbane society —
This is the favorite poison ivy scheme
of the power pyramid builders:
Soulless architects
erecting a crooked obelisk dystopian reality
And this fractured,
motion picture reel nightmare
still ain’t murky half as bad as it’s gonna be

Premium Member Immigration

I like immigrants, immigration. Legal immigration,
Jane passionately corrects. Actually my goal is a borderless world.
That's a new idea to her.
Gathering the neighborhood like family.
The men discuss sterilizing welfare mothers. I say You're working
      around the edges,
humanity has exceeded the carrying capacity of the planet,
even those with jobs. And spouses. And houses.
Yet it's an idyll of an early summer evening, new cut grass,
two baseball teams of children playing in it. Safe from Pakistan.
News photos of Muslim refugees, women in blue robes, biblically
carrying children away from holocaust. The fundamentalist army
not far behind, beheading sinners, sure in its righteousness
as the Holy Roman Empire.

Somehow Joel Osteen the evangelist comes up
while talking about how the Catholic Church is irrelevant in North
      America,
even Latin America and Africa are going evangelical.
Izzi likes Osteen, awesome extemporaneous speaker, no teleprompter,
up from bootstraps message. My wife says he's probably Jewish.
No one wants to go there.
Fortunately no one claims the Holocaust never happened or slavery was
      voluntary.
What is the carrying capacity of the planet? Two children
have replacement value. In China is it each couple or each adult that gets
one offspring? As life expectancy and standards rise,
family size diminishes. We draw together into greener, tighter cities
surrounded by farms surrounded by forests.
The children of three monotheistic religions, atheists and agnostics
play in city streets, work farm fields, explore forests, deserts, grasslands,
      space.

Two ancient female poets: Enheduanna and Sappho
are a revelation. The clarity of their complaints:
lost lover, lost city.

Let's Celebrate Our Mothers

A mother is strong and courageous
A mother is tender and caring
A mother corrects and disciplines
A mother's love survives all
A mother’s love has no length or width; depth or height
A mother prays fervently for her child
Through tests, trials, and tribulations, a mother never gives up hope
Although she gets a little weary at times, a mother keeps pressing on
A mother wants what is best for her child
A mother shields and protects her child, like David against Goliath
A mother will stand against a giant
A mother knows God’s on her side
A mother makes sacrifices
A mother puts her child’s needs before her own
A mother goes the extra mile
A mother has a special call
A call God has given her
His wisdom she needs the most
So let’s celebrate, "Our Mothers"

The God I Serve

Comforted by his spirit
Redeemed by his blood
Saved by his grace
All my sins erased

Given another chance
That I may dwell with thee
I cried out to the hills
And Jesus heard my plea

He saved my wretched soul
And turned my life around
Standing firm in thy salvation
So his blessings may abound

All our sins and grief he bare
Because he loves us and he cares
So he died upon that cross
To save us who were lost

Thy word have I hid in my heart
So I may not sin
And by living by his word
I’m drawn closer to him

He teaches he corrects
He guides us he protects
His plans for us are great
So we should keep the faith

Our father who art in heaven
Halloweth be thy name
My God who lives forever!
And forever he will reign

Hangman of Pure-Heart

Ferry me furiously further
from the furnace of self chaste
and river of man -hope,
The island of feigned wellness,
The high-horse of self-pride;
 hangman of pure-heart.

What's the shame in weakness?
What's the shame in weeping?
What's the fault in falling?
The tussle to stay afloat
keeps the mind on its toes
The Spirit and Soul's penchant
for penance rises.

What's the crime in loosing?
Where's the guilt in crouching?
Why berate thyself, restless soul.
The patch of weed
is harbinger of fertile crop
Yet the clearing has to be done.
tomorrow's harvest corrects
the day's labour.

Shame has to be ingested for
glory to bloom;
Glory, antithesis of gloom, light
of man.
Sometimes the head will stoop
to scoop the signs from the
earth,
as done by kin unknown.
Why then worry about man's
worry.

What's the shame in crashing
on your hind when the load is
too weighty?
What's cowardly in fleeing from
repose when peace dies within?
Where is the honor in
screaming from pain when
you've aged numb?

What's the shame in mouthing
the truth?
Why worry when your line is
straight?
Why ululate when your heart is
pure?

Why scratch the head's pores
till it sores?
Why bother when the cows still
make beef and soap yet brings
lather?
Why tug at receding hair till it
embrace baldness?

Ferry me furiously further
from the furnace of self chaste
and river of man -hope,
The island of feigned wellness,
The high-horse of self-pride;
The hangman of pure-heart.

So, I may yet remain sane.

Premium Member My Faith In Christ

Facing various challenges along life’s race
My faith* in Christ strengthens my spirituality upon salvation-brace.

Battling against many facets of unrighteousness
My faith in the Saviour arms my sanctification-holiness.

Conquering several stages of difficulties
My faith in the Lord heals my soul-infirmities.

Fleeing from different angles of temptations
My faith in the Master upholds my standard-convictions.

Subduing pride of towering arrogance
My faith in the Creator corrects my human-ignorance.

Striving to win over tough and rigorous trials
My faith in God anchors my service-triumphs by His miracle-portrayals.

Pursuing for good success in sharing the Gospel story
My faith in the Messiah powers my labour-victory.

A Thing Called Love

"A Thing Called Love"
by: Eric L. Boddie

You only Live once, so have no regrets
So, at some point, go and have you some sex
And if you do it right, Love is what comes next
But please understand that relationships can get complex
For it only takes an instance to become one's ex
But once you truly learn that Love respects
All of the passion that the frame reflects
You will lose all ability to show neglects
Because that is truly what any heart expects
And the mating of a Soul always corrects
Every single thing that hate infects
Establishing compassion to all deserving suspects
Who won't give in to all of those "what the hecks"
Because once Love injects
Life sees great effects
Where only negativity is all it rejects

Toothpick Legs

“How come they all have Toothpick Legs?”
She wonders aloud,
face furrowing into a deep red frown.
“And mine are so big?”
“Genetics. Look at me and Mom.”
OK, I’m a blockhead.

Seven-year old angst understandably not placated.
“Your legs are beautiful and strong.”
Seems I’m getting somewhere now.
“Adventure legs are what you have.
You run so fast, the boys can’t catch you.”
“Well, one.” She corrects me.

“Look at the amazing things you can do.
Ski, surf, run, bike, skate, anything."
Her cheeks turn just a little scarlet.
Silently, One day, someone will love you,
adventure legs and all.
Like I love your mama.

After a ski day, she drew a prone stick figure.
Curiously, I ask, “What’s that, honey?
Why is she lying down?”
Big smile, with a hint of mischief.
“She can’t snowboard very well.
Toothpick Legs.”

The Lord Is My Teacher

The Lord is my teacher;
I will not fail.
He fills me with knowledge and wisdom.
He teaches me in the way that I should go.
He refreshes me with understanding.
He instructs me in spiritual matters;
He will not leave me ignorant.
Yes, though I make mistakes and
Sometimes show misunderstanding,
I will not be ashamed -
For you are with me.
Your arm of love, your patience, gently corrects me.
You allow me to shine in the presence of my peers.
You crown me with success; distinctions over flow.
Surely, excellence will follow me everywhere I go.
And I will be in your classroom for ever!

Premium Member How Do I Know

You can't do anything my friend
Even forcing yourself to change your thinking
The minute fact of what you see
creates a force in you
that brings about your thinking
And you think it's wrong
And want to change it
Can you change it?
No
But only God can change it
He can say yay
Or He can say nay
Isn't that funny?
We are so gunho about thinking that we own our thoughts
Didn't we know that He owns everything?
- including our thoughts
He can change
He can wane
Make you feel not at ease
Until you correct it
And who corrects it?
Him
So don't think you can do anything
Or you are going to be proven for sure
The Lord of this world knows what He is doing
And that's including you
But only to the extent that He lets you know
So don't be conceited
And think you can do anything
You can't do nothing
And that's the bottom line
Lol
Did I just mean you can do anything?
