Another 24

I am thankful for this 24,
A chance to live, love, learn, and grow.

I am grateful for a good night's sleep and rest,
With the sun that burns in my soul, to rise with that gleam of light and go out and do my best.

I accept the challenges around the corner that await me.
I only move with good intentions and I do my work truly and conscientiously.

I treat myself with kindness and I do the same for my fellow man.
Giving the best and receiving the best from others is a part of God's plan.

I opt for a Kool-Aid smile on any and every given day.
It's a beautiful reminder of a time when I would go out and play.

Today is a good day and I graciously accept this gift.
I'm present, I'm invested and my cross I'm prepared to lift.

I am thankful for another 24,
To live, love, learn and grow.

Premium MemberPRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS WAY

July 15 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Proverbs 10-12

Key Verse – Proverbs 10:29 The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR HIS WAY

Praise be to God for His way that:
Strengthens with His great influence
Saves along His gracious illumination
Safeguards through His good impact
Settles upon His glorious instruction
Secures around His grand intention

Proverbs 11:1, 20 Praise be to the Lord for
protecting us against abominations so we can:
Walk in along His direction
Watch with discernment
Wake against despair
Work midst delight
Win by His drive

Proverbs 12:2 Praise be to the Saviour for
enabling us to obtain His favour while we are:
Loving Him by His compassion
Leaning on His care whereto we cling
Living for Him with His conscientiously
Listening to His call, cleaving to Him closely
Learning from His commands with circumspection. Amen!

Thoughts

As the sun rises in the east,
I sit in quiet contemplation upon the roof,
Thinking of tomorrow's yet to come and yesterday's long past.
The sun did rise. The sun will rise. The sun is rising.
My thoughts go toward the future , and to the past.
What could I have done differently. What can I do differently.
What could have been done, what could be done. Some answers flitter in an out with answers mediocre.
Contemplation.
Mindset. One must strive , constantly and consistently, to live in the mindset of the future they desire.
One cannot break from themselves that which they know to be true, nor can one live against themselves.
Reach.
Highest ideal.
Conscientiously live in the state of which one wants to be. It takes effort. It is hard. To achieve the desires of oneself and of their family, one must constantly be. In the way they can envision themselves being.
Focus.
Breathe.
Not such a simple task. But worthy of conquest.
Attain your highest moral order, and persist. Let no outside action interfere, be stoic.
See.
Listen.
If one can achieve this, or attempt to, one can find peace. Persevere .

Doing Swimmingly

I a woman of sixty and seven have come to realize
There is more here going on than is evident to the eyes

What is allowed by ego to filter through our defences
Is not the sum total registered by our senses

As we are able to carry the weight like a mother doting
Incrementally it sifts it through without sugar coating

We see what we are ready to see unedited without bias
No matter the seas that lay ahead we say in confidence Try Us

Last Friday week I learned to swim after being the banker for years
Finding I'm hyped to name and address all my other fears

I want to live life conscientiously enslaved to nothing but God
The trainers are off on my way giving my governess a nod

crazy sanity
excited placidness
terrible wonderfulness
enthusiastically down

mountainous nothingness
unexpected anticipations
insanely normal
conscientiously uncaring

guilty innocence
joyful depression

conflicted understandings
crawling highs
maniacal lows

Premium MemberA Better Tomorrow

Goodness
Doing right things
Opportunity knocks
Sometimes when we least expect it
For one’s better angels
Allowing ways
To shine.

Virtue
A welcome trait
For high-minded living
Example for those we know who
Disregard their morals
Skirt the edges
Often.

Ethics
Will cultivate
An exemplary life
Of lasting proper behaviors
If conscientiously
Better living
Applied.

Conduct
Measuring our
Commitment fully to
A better world for tomorrow
And high-mindedness for
More love, justice
Today.

Premium MemberContamination

Conscientiously Combat Contamination:
  Pass punitive laws policing polluters
Keep chemicals from killing crops like corn
Plink and plunk pests with pure, perfect panaceas
Segregate and shun smokers of cigars and cigarettes

Contradictorily, Contribute to Contamination:
  Permit and protect pernicious ***********
Validate, vindicate, and venerate video violence
Liberate, laugh at, and lionize lascivious language
Glorify and giggle at graceless, gutter-fed gossip

       Counteracting Contamination
Can't cut both ways, can it?

I Am Not a Monster

Yes I am a towering fierce being,
Yet you still bring me down bleeding.

Yes I enjoy causing nightmares and battling paladins,
Yet with you my devastating powers have fallen under agonizing defeats.

Yes I have a scarred wounded face,
Yet with crayons you leave me with cherubic countenance.

Yes I have a deceitful evil laugh,
Yet you are able to read its honest and auspicious graph.

Yes I mostly plan to overthrow something,
Yet you jolt me back to sanity with your alluring humming.

Yes I need to be feared by people,
Yet with you I leave my heart to be tucked behind your conspicuous sepal.

Yes I do lack the sense of wrong or right certainly,
Yet with you I am wrapped around and engulfed conscientiously.

Yes I am not a monster,
For you have robbed my heart and I don’t need it back any longer.

Daddy

A shinny light shone on the horizon
a lofty height further from the forensic
from the loins of wisdom...
wisdom from his loins..begetting mega-wisdom (s)

daddy,my buddy.
my "paddy"...my "caddy"
my confidant..my confidence
the penchant...the fence

my inclination...my adoration
my guide...my guard
man with seven lives,
mum in heaven smiles,

“his fertile effervescent mind”
his fatherly ever - present bind
the simplicity of his complexity
the intricacy of his sagacity

magnanimity exemplified,
hospitality embodified
enigmatically dogged,
sub - urban rugged.
undauntedly courageous..
conscientiously religious
indefatigable hustler.
easily understandable teacher

the earthen raged
you damned the bellows
tactically concealing the hidden page
you squeezed in to the hollow

glad you didn't listen
look at what we would be missing
we might have taken the long way
you always knew we'll get there someday

...Daddy, age with grace!
happy birthday.

Premium MemberI Want It Bad

Having permission to be mean has me rushing to this scene.
Trouble is, I don’t want her to see or hear me because then
she’ll surely fear me. I can’t let her know how low I’ll go if
good poem placement doesn’t show.

Should she take my poem to use or abuse, then I’ll give her my
indignation news! How dare she treat me with no care and as
any less than the very best.

Obviously, she is not conscientiously aware of what my five foot,
two inch frame can do. She wouldn’t mess me around if she had
a clue. If my anger should stay, even throwing a stick wouldn’t
make me go away.

I used to write and pace. Now I pace and think of her face.
Yepper, she best give me first place. If she should choose that
I lose, well, then I’ll whack her with my pen. If I go down, she,
too, will hit the ground. She’ll bruise. I’d rather face disgrace
than settle for no medal.

I always count syllables and use any means to enhance my rhyme
schemes. I do not work so hard for her to poetry-dream-rob.

She’ll know I have power and that I’m no mouse when every
hour pizza arrives at her house.

My Seven Girlfriends

Out of my seven girlfriends
Six and a half are married
one is conscientiously married
to her inner, juxtaposed situation
the second is married to the innuendos
of a rat race,
sitting all day without a back rest
even on a gloomy dark clouds day
the third has chosen a man
to quench her hunger of joint fallacies
of anger, of greed, of plastic smiles
the fourth has married the contours
of self obsessed melancholic constructs
fifth is an abstract piece of broken clay
married to her enigma, which shows in her gaze
the sixth is on an eclectic bond
with her own split self,
a merger of effervescent intellect and a cosmic zombie
the first half of the seventh is unmarried
lives that part as a quintessential single,
open, vulnerable, desolate, creative
the second half is married
to her traverse past
which insulates her from future decadence

In My Father's Footsteps

With youthful vigor, self-serving pursuits did enthrone
Fealty's dues trumping pride did disown
Encased by unbridled passion, mitigating perpetuity did groan
I lingered in your shadow 'till life's cover had blown
Then instinctively garnished pages from patrimonial loan
I traveled the cobbled path now overgrown;
With briers and weeds, spent years to atone
I saw your tread on each, cracked stone
Blithely meandered toward mutual destiny, alone
Strode in each footstep your sweat, tears did hone
Pranced through the smooth stretches you did conscientiously tone
Through brokered prism scanning each lofty vista, your vision did clone
Ensnared by cumbersome demons, frailties; your genetic markers had strewn
Skirted each obstruction utilizing exemplary pattern deftly sown
Prated o'er each pitfall that your missteps did condone
When life's path nearly run, an approving voice echoes from heavenly zone
