Premium Member Losing what made us human

In this fast world, time is precious.
We rush just to get nowhere fast.
We run ourselves ragged to the edge.
Our little free time is spent recharging.
Sad, we hardly connect with anyone anymore.

to my real name.

Who is named
CC Bloom anyway?

It couldn't possibly
be a movie reference
with Bette Midler
from the 90's
with Barbara Hershey.

One of them dies.
One of them doesn't.
One of them sings.
One of them is a great
lawyer, wealthy, with
a daughter.

Clue 1:
given above.

Clue 2:
Facebook.

Clue 3:
You can't swing a dead cat
without hitting a Jennifer.
(It is a common name
from the 80's,
after all).

How many Jennifer Christinas
are out there
on the tipping point
of 40, and funny,
are there?
in America
(not south).

That was clue 4.

Your Warmth

Your Warmth...
I was down
And you come in
You give me your warmth
Your love, your passion
You made me stand up
You made me return to life
Your warmth was more than
An experience
It was a feel to connect with
Something heavenly,
I feel absolutely awesome
Your warmth made me go happy
I am enjoying every part of life
Every breathe is now warmer and soft
I forgot why i was down
Or Did I?
I was down for all that time,
I was shivering with the hands of no pen
One hand had pen other had pain
I was just all by myself cold and bold
Where was your warmth,
When I was shattered on the floor
Nothing to grab all to loose
Where was your warmth
When i needed my breath to stay
Where was your warmth
When i was breaking my dreams
Where was it when
I was laughing at myself for you
Where was your warmth
When i was me for you before you...
When i was me....

Premium Member Connecting with Nature

Ditching high-tech toys,
I connect and commune with
Earth’s natural scenes.

 “Like minds think alike.”
Why is that?
Are we connected, somehow?
Our brains blue-toothed to each other.
A telepathic togetherness.
Enlightenment is possible.
Tune in. Turn on.
Connect.

Connect

Amen to the days
that are long
that you remember
when you feel strong
When laughter is plenty
and our cups aren't empty
When you connect with someone you love
and feel a guidance from someone above
It's what this life is all about
not the money we look to amount
Pray for the ones here and passed
feeling blessed for the relationships amassed
Make sure to connect on the daily
before we heard off onto that distant prairie.

Distanced I Dis connect

Disconsolate enuii
I flick the screen alive
strangers flood my space
they disparage what I use
push their disposable trash

I dismiss the ploys they use
their flashing light displays
the blur of too much choice
disturbed by airbrushed smiles
all those disjointed claims

I distrust their AI games
disquietened by false charm
my silence disconcerts
so they offer me a deal-
who needs a talking broom

disgruntled and dismayed
to have them in my house
distracted by their noise
and always fake discounts
their loud discordant gush.

“It's A Pleasure To
Connect With You,”

AI can say that, and
Sound like it
Means it…

Well, no human
Can, either…

Nature's Rhythm: I Listen and Connect

In an island amidst the seamless seas,
lost in the warmth of a dream-like enchanting moment,
I sense a smooth placid stillness and repose.
As the golden ball ascends,
light bids adieu to the dark with a soft kiss -
the sky welcomes her beloved with a vermilion smile.
Mind greets thoughts anew that evoke delight,
when the koels and kingfishers sing hymns of hope.
The morning sky glows in rays of nature's lamp,
warm and vibrant, it heals my soul.

Ten lines taken from the following poems:
1. In My Dream
2. Sunflowers
3. To Leave All Cares Behind
4. Waiting for Light
5.The Glory of Dawn
6. Vermilion Sunrise at Kanyakumari
7. Mindful Moments
8. My Blossoms
9. Soothing Serenity
10. To Belong

Premium Member CONNECT AND RISE

   We each have strengths.
Connected together we can change our world.
Every one of us has seen areas in our control.
   That needs to change,
   To make us whole.
   Find that connection.
   Become one with others.
   Unite and rise,
   We can help each other!

Connect

human heart does feel
what mind does not understand
that is true, fact

Freesoul

Beneath the fury of sun
Wades a wobbly nun
Stomping on thorns
Watch the teary ferns

Scars on her skin
Carrying wounds engraved
Curse devious grin
And snakes she once craved

She sucked and spitted
Bouts of venom in her blood
Tainted by flood
Of emotions she once knitted

Profuse tears of fern
They observe
Drip on her burn
Numbing pain so perverse

Weeped the clouds
In meloncholic ambience
Silence crept loud
Spotting redemption in defiance

Step out the vines
Adorning her bruises
Wind's penchant to divine's
Yearning, she refuses

Blanket of ferns
Ease her shivers
While the moon upturns
Bogs were her new weavers

Time passed by
Has been watching the sky
Fern decays
Her soul repays
