I'Ll Be Waiting

Once I had a friend that I could connect with
No matter what
I turned to him

Until I realized that I was being used
Always took
But never gave

Came to him with my pain
But he always twisted
The conversation back to him

Now he weeps upon my shoulders
Do I care?
Guess I'll never really know

And at the center of it all
I know I always said
Come to me if
You've got a problem you can't fix

But I'm feeling real used
Everyone takes
But no one gives
But that's how it works

Friends for life
Such a fancy term
For a liar's game
Show me a friend for life

And I'll be waiting
For my day to arrive
When my dreams come alive
I'll be waiting for that day

Now I have a lover who can't trust me
The same way
That I trust her

She grasps onto the figments of a future
Where all she sees
Is what she owns

But really, I still love her no matter what
Even if she doesn't
Feel quite the same

A right blind fool, I give and give
And they take and take
And hell, that's just fine

And at the center of it all
I can feel the empty
Hole within my heart
Growing larger, I think I like it

I guess I must
I never put up a fight
Maybe I like the pain
Or maybe I really love them

Love for life
Such a noble term
For a liar's game
Show me a love for life

And I'll be waiting
For the day to arrive
When my dreams come alive
I'll be waiting for that day

Once I had a friend that I could connect with
No matter what
I turned to him

Now I have a lover who can't trust me
The same way
That I trust her

Once I had the dream, I had to chase it
And pray the ends justified the means

And now I will shut my eyes
Because I don't want to feel anything anymore

Then and Now

He spoke of how they used to sit and talk,
While we just sit, scroll, and TikTok.
Through cold or warm and quiet nights,
They shared their hearts beneath the lights.

Now we’ve got brains in Copilot,
Ask ChatGPT — it gives the logic.
No leafing through the bookish towers,
Just Google, Gemini, and digital hours.

We hail the age of innovation,
Yet lose the art of conversation.
No more reading hearts and faces,
We learn from screens, not human traces.

Grandpa still holds the sweetest stories,
His mind a vault of golden memories.
But our world spins a different way —
Maybe each Gen has its own decay.

When told to quit the endless scroll,
To feel again, connect and console,
We say, “It’s like water — can’t survive without,”
Yet drown in silence while we shout.

Cinnamon skies

Okay, here’s a shot at those lyrics, aiming for that Prince-meets-Brandy-ballad-with-a-Usher-hook vibe. I've opted for an AABB rhyme scheme with some internal rhymes to add to the flow.

Title: Cinnamon Skies (For Him)

(Intro - Soft synth pads, a low bass line, and a light drum machine beat – very 90s R&B)

(Verse 1 - Prince-esque vocals, slightly breathy and melodic)
Streetlights blur, a hazy gold, on my way to the pump
Thinking 'bout you, future unfolding, a gentle, subtle thump
He showed his fam, so soon, a shock, but felt like home, you see
Talkin' life, where we goin’, destiny, and you meant for me

(Pre-Chorus - Beat becomes a little more prominent, slight vocal harmonies come in)
He asked about my faith, my dreams, showed such soft respect
Never pressure, just intention, true love we connect

(Chorus - Usher-esque catchy hook, layered vocals, more emphasis on the beat)
Gotta get him, gotta get him, while the love’s so real and true
He's a keeper, trust the feelin', what he feelin’ for you

(Verse 2 - Vocals become slightly more spoken word, still melodic)
Cinnamon dad, a sweet embrace, a fleeting, stolen kiss
Fueling up, for that precious place and that love I can't dismiss
Values deep, he spoke with fire, a vision we both shared
Future plans, burning desire, a feeling, well, it's rare

(Pre-Chorus - Beat picks up again, harmonies a bit stronger)
He honored every line I drew, cherished every side of me
This ain't just a fling, it's true, the man I was meant to see

(Chorus - Usher-esque catchy hook, layered vocals, more emphasis on the beat)
Gotta get him, gotta get him, while the love’s so real and true
He's a keeper, trust the feelin', what he feelin’ for you

(Bridge - Ballad feel, vocal harmonies layered, beat drops to just a basic pulse)
Goddess Abundance, blessed this path, intertwined our fates
No doubt, no turning back, sealed by love, no debates
Early on, showing his clan, that I was meant to stay
A plan so grand, a holy span, now that future’s on display.

(Chorus - Usher-esque with a slight vocal run at the end, powerful and full)
Gotta get him, gotta get him, while the love’s so real and true
He's a keeper, trust the feelin', what he feelin’ for you, oh yeaaaaah!

(Outro - Synth pads and a soft bass fade out, with a final echo of “for you…”)

Premium Member Be Careful With Me

Be careful should you say those words to me;
Do not use them casually;
To me, their meaning is quite profound,
So, don’t just throw those words around.

Be careful should you attempt to touch my heart;
It doesn’t mend quickly when torn apart;
When I give me heart you get my whole soul, too,
So, if you touch my heart make it a touch that’s true.

Be careful should you decide to share my bed;
If you want casual sex, try another instead;
The physical and emotional, to me, connect,
So, if you’re not real sure, don’t go there yet.

Be careful with me and I will be careful in return;
Lessons being otherwise have already been learned.

Premium Member The Democrats Debate

The Democrats Debate
By Franklin Price
10/14/2015

Last night I stayed up kind of late
To watch the Democrats debate
About the issues of this land
And where on each of them would stand

Televised on CNN
And hosted by the hotel Wynn
Debaters trying to connect
Had not a clue what to expect

Five of them there to discuss
Important things to all of us
Beginning only two I knew
Knew more of them when it was through

Beginning questions pertinent
Not much dodging as on it went
Most practiced some civility
Surprising both my wife and me

Were these politicians in our view?
That got along that's something new
Supposed to poke and finger point
And raise some hell to shake the joint

Was not to be at least not much
Seemed all of them were quite in touch
No verbal punching to the chin
Did not make worse this mess we're in

I hope the elephants watched this show
A lesson to learn was there you know
Answers direct at least for most
Was a debate and not a roast

The Alps

I walked outside in the scorching heat moving papers and turning over pages just looking for that one line that goes back to the middle ages. The search was long, the documents were strong and the paragraph sits at the bottom with the exact words about the controversial land. Moses was deceased, Joshua was bequeathed and mimiram joined the crew when her leprosy
came through.

I traveled to Vatican City to view the writing form the thirteenth century there were piles and piles of them standing in a row but I had nowhere to go and I could not move any of them.

I had to view them with a magnifying glass or the whole thing would have fallen apart .I walked along the Vatican city underground and there were museums all around with documents that goes back to the creation of the earth but they were all sealed up in dirt.

Something caught my eyes from the back and I continue to move my eyeball over the lines to see what historical data I could find. I just wanted to fit the pieces together until I could uncover the secrecy, and just when I thought my long search was done a cockroach crawl up from the corner and there it was staring at me, the very line that illustrate my dignity. A thousand cameras pointed at me from every angle, I could not touch or move a thing until the vessel I had memorized the plaintiff hymn.

The Priest kept juggling on the floor and the Roman soldiers keep asking for more, the theater was where it all began with a harp a violin and a harmonica riding on the gondola and singing a song. They were all playing for me as the discovery breaks the bonds of history to uncover an age-old mystery, the authentic crowd docked on the other side while I continue to hold up my pride and the gondola drift.

I try to fit the piece together so I went on a hurricane ride and landed in Peru and made my way to the city of Cuzco to connect the dots and explore the salt mine of maras and when I got what I wanted I made my way to France and visit the Mount Blanc and made a bond with Eifel tower. When the research was over, I clocked in nine hundred million dollars for a Zig Zag line and a marking on a cave that was divine.

And so the evidence was right in front of me to prove the murder in the first degree and a global fraud in the second degree. You must make haste and come and see me.

Share your thoughts daily
my fresh start is teaching me
darkness fell to the ground
don't fret, love will be glee.

Relaxation and hospitality
a person who looks closely
Into the world of air charm
Orion is acrid to track
It seems to blow unremittingly.

I sow my own memories
along with human sorrow
harmony restored
I dialed my heart number
I need to heal my soul
the real body is sinking.

Weak influence
decreased resolve
my goal is to draw high.
I connect distant souls.
cut off the root of the
malignant sporophyte.

Have moral fortitude
malicious outer force
deceiving the actual facts
It wrecked the night's vibe
beatific fortune and conflict.

I rush to the stage.
relax, I'll swim
your healing wave
doesn't steer my ship; I'm lost
depressing fields
induce flowers to bloom.

It'll melt the ice out of the city
the wind will howl tonight
I seek refuge in pain
raise your head and scream.

bright and aesthetic music
we are creating a fresh page
and the door to humanity
a fresh way to let the light shine.

angels provide heartthrobs
electronics fans, rise up
you are blessed with free flow
close the deal with a hug
along with a night dive.

In Germany today, no one is allowed to
say a funny jibe, on poli-tic-ans..As it seems they have grown real thin skins.' The measures anti are quite
tectonic.! Perhaps even uber tutonic.? Are they in a time warp chamber? This to me is a real ( howdy stranger!) I'd thought the old cattle
Trucks were taken off their rails.? What could happen next? What might be entailed.? Even laughing gas would not
Alieviate.' The mood i am getting is above
Irate.. Once i never considered there
(could ever be.') In existence a nacisisstic z-ion-ist-tic
nazi creed.? Yet from what i see growing is there indeed a seed.? Truth be told..There is sadistic power within an occult and greed.' Wars that seem never to
Diminish? Let alone finish.! Much hate is indulged, things as they were from old; all the while blood sacrifice is in use, increases much sin with un-usual abuse.
What concerns most is will we see culmination to a ( cyclone of evil come to be.?) Bringing much
destruction, does anyone even connect with me.?)

Premium Member Relationships Are Like Croissants

Relationships are like croissants;
Don’t invest in people
who don’t appreciate the many layers;
You can give courtesy and respect
never let them go below the surface;

People may connect on different levels,
understanding this avoid’s an
unpleasant aftertaste;

You may be into emotional bloodletting,
is there ever a reason to give what
you’re not getting?
Try seeing if they’re there for you
if you have nothing they value;
Allowing someone into your soft core
is it really something you should do?
Are they worthy of more?

Peeling each one back
getting frail and vulnerable,
make sure they bring the same depth
to the table;
Invest in those people;
Relationships are a lot like croissants.

Which Balance Best

Which balance best
Is like world gone mad
Destruction all over places
As illusion is the king of the
Trends of their motto
To rule our minds to live
Under a way design with
Out our knowledge
Either is it
for our benefit

Oh life is a choice
Check the balance
And make a choice
Of your life

Which balance best
Like a circle
Life Goes round like a
Zero
As the choice you make
Connect back to you
To how you connect to life
In life you either live a bless life
Or
You live a false mysteries
From which darkness comes
leading you to a strange world
Out and far away from nature
What is the worth of life
To live with a hate
Where bitterness rules
A choice of no humanity
As pains is the product
Of it all like a reward
Check the balance

Oh life is a choice
Check the balance
And make a choice
Of your life

Which balance best
Nature is beautiful
For life is love
Here you live with a
Peace
And joy will always
Make your days better
Every new day
The fruit of love is
Divine
The choice to live
With love is more above
Religion and mere pulpit
In life you need
Peace, joy, care,
On and on
All comes from the choice
To live with love
check the balance

Oh life is a choice
Check the balance
And make a choice
Of your life

Which balance best
you have a choice to love
You have a choice to hate
Both are a choice to live
Now check the balance of
It both to life
Then chose
Which balance best

Oh life is a choice
Check the balance
And make a choice
Of your life
