Comprehended Poems | Examples

Silhouette of a Stranger

The bloody stranger stank of rank grass and
Animal grime and strutted unnoticed on
Our threshold on a long, misty night.

Lightning, unaccompanied by rain,
Exposed his grisly image,
Comprehended quickly by the village griot,
A humepenthe with seeing eyes, though blind,
Who could smell danger even from long-dug holes of
Doss-houses from distant caverns.

A common, vile dictator is abroad tonight!

Peace of mind

PEACE OF MIND

left hurt and wounded by my own actions,
yeah you started it but i didnt have to go there,
i shouldve just minded my business,
ignored the situation,
but i didnt,
i couldnt bite my tongue,
i couldn’t refute the anger you sent me in shockwaves,
words that i shouldve said but i didnt,
words that i shouldnt of said but did,
things i did in anger,
my actions speak louder than my words ever could,
all you seen were my actions,
you never even comprehended my words.

Premium MemberMemory Loss

Fold and make origami
Pieces lost in the folds of time
Ripples in crystal waters of stillness
A riddle searching for responsiveness

Zipline through the playgrounds of my mind
Inverted skies stretch beyond grey
Clinging to air thick with silence
Shaped by a hope refusing to conform

Sleepily sauntering down an alley
Directionless shadows endless in their growth
Opaque walls murmuring their speechless weight
Flickering with thoughts not comprehended

Unraveling the knots of oblivion
Words hang precariously in suspense
A burst of color breaks through the frame
Slowly fading to the edge of a forgotten dream

The Veil of Flame

I was mistaken, this flesh was a delicate cage,
With bars adorned with hints of desire,
And shadows widened in the twilight,
I called on the quiet and searched
The echoes of longing for answers
As I walked on the brink of hunger and terror.

But in the silent surge of love’s embrace,
An unknown voice emerged,
Wide and motionless
Its song a mirror to my forgetting,
“I am not these passing tides of thought
nor this shroud of time.”

Once thick with illusion,
The flame’s curtain transformed into a portal
To the unnamed inside,
There, in an unending instant,
The living light unrestrained enveloped me
As the lifeblood of what
I already am, not as something
that can be comprehended or discovered

No happiness could be greater
Then the absence of a lack
And no rapture could surpass this silence
To recognize the eternal face in everything
is to disappear into the actual sight.

She is sitting idle, pondering about life,
thinking the aim is not just to survive.

Trying hard to follow the theory,
'live every moment and don't worry.'

She thought doing this would be very easy,
thus judged those who were not exemplary.

But realized, like money, success doesn't grow on trees.
Have to look for new paths, opportunities to seize.

She perceived, have to work hard day and night,
bleed from her palms until she gets that thing right.

Comprehended, everyday getting up is a fight,
but watching the sunrise is also a delight.

She now understood, life treats all equally,
some have guts to accept, others beg and plead.

Now it's up to her who she wants to be,
a brave soldier or a cry baby.

Learnt, life's utterly brutal, doesn't even have a sequel.

It means there was never scope for suspense,
have a happy ending or terrible one with many amends.

Premium MemberROSES ARE NOT READ-

If roses are read
And they're not numbers or characters
 How is it read
And if violets are blue
How is it hue
Violets are royalty true
 Flowers grown from the terrain
Blossom in the rain
How is honey sweet
When you can't taste the meat
So if you are my love makes sense to this
Can this rationale be comprehended for the kiss

Exploring the Heaven of Lovers

Exploring the Heaven of Lovers
By Michelle Morris
16/12/2023

The first kiss is always the sweetest
That one we cherish above all others
Your lips touched mine gently
Exploring the Heaven of Lovers

Deepening with passion
Magical and beyond comprehended feelings
How can we fly and be grounded?
How can we be excited and in utter peace?

Our souls are delighted together
Our bodies in bliss and completion
We don't need the world beyond this
We have love and heartfelt meaning

To hold you in my arms
And never let you go
Would definitely make my life complete
More than you will ever know

Premium MemberIn the Beginning Was the Word - John 1: 1-5

God has revealed Himself in Jesus
for this saviour is the living word
in the very beginning, He was with God
this word is God to deny this is absurd

In the beginning, there was God
three persons of the Trinity as one
nothing or no one else was there
eternity is God's abode with His son

God in the Word is the creator
everything created by this God alone
without Him, nothing was ever made
this Word came to this world to atone

This Word was life to the fullest
in Him alone was found real light
the very life of men was true
this God Word rose to the ultimate height

Darkness has no answer to this light
for the beam to fully shine
the darkness could not comprehend
for the Word and light together dine

(John 1 : 1-5
King James Version
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Quality

When a woman seems a preferable quality
Some folks will still have questions about her qualifications as long as she qualified to play
Her house role quietly and other things quickly.
As she succeeded to apprehend him in her
heart and he comprehended to live there.
Who can have power to cut that rope and elope
With one of them around nights or daytimes?
Question to some accidental luvs who quitted
So quickly while they were qualities qualified
By some choosers who quivering by their exquisiteness,
Whenever they appear sympathetically and romantically.

Premium MemberA Helen Keller Kyrielle - Hk

When Helen Keller was a child,
both deaf and blind, she acted wild
until her heart was helped to melt.
Seen or not, beauty must be felt.

Sweet sights and sounds she knew not of.
She barely comprehended love.
In youth, a bad hand she’d been dealt.
Seen or not, beauty must be felt.

A favored doll, dear Helen clutched,
yet things were nameless that she touched.
Words on her hand a teacher spelt.
Seen or not, beauty must be felt.

One day the young girl’s whole world turned.
Her heart perceived the words she’d learned.
With joy thereafter Helen dwelt.
Seen or not, beauty must be felt.

Nightmare

I saw you
In my dream
As a monster,
Naked  with horns,
I screamed loudly ,
" Christ Jesus "
You turned
To a  anormal person
And foced
Me to kiss you.
              I was
              Petrifying
              After seeing
              The monster.

             Coming
             morning,
             I comprehended  that
             It was a Nightmare,

But when I met
You around the day ,
You frightened,
          Trembled
       as you knew
       What you were doing.
You were so  flummoxed,
And afraid to look at my face again.
I understood  that
You were  a trained witch
Or a person used by
Some locals witches.
My feelings for you  disapeared,
As you refused to be delivered,
You were used to
drink human bloods,
Than the blood
Of Christ Jesus ,
Which has  living life.

We, the Sad Generation

We, the generation of grand pictures,
walk through life, bearing unfaithful filters.
Sins, comprehended through biblical scriptures,
fear escapes the team of timid tilters.

We, the generation of past trauma,
torn up by those we care mostly about.
Destinies - blind to discoloured aura,
ignorant to chances of falling out.

We, the generation of less fortune,
lack the insightful knowledge, to pour in.
A plagued future births all misfortune,
hopeful for luck, no matter how foreign.

We, the generation of brokenness ~
In seek of direction and forgiveness.

Life Is

Life is a long walk,
The path meanders,
The path undulates.

Life is a sequence of doors,
They open of their own accord,
Until the final closure.

Life is a book,
Ancient and voluminous,
No one has read to its end.

Life is a hill,
Our purpose makes us climb,
Our ambition pushes us further.

Life is a battlefield,
We don’t fight with guns and knives,
Our weapons are our will and determination.

Life is a mystery,
Some things can’t be comprehended,
The deeper we search the
 more intricate they become.

Life is a race,
We run at different speeds,
Some fall out in the race.

Life is a train,
We embark and disembark,
At our various stations.

Life is a tussle,
The evil against the good,
The unseen against the seen.

Life is a timeline,
It can’t be trapped,
It flows like a stream.

Trinity

God's first words, "Let there be light!"
and all darkness took to flight.
Christ's forgiveness makes things right
as His Spirit sharpens our sight.

Greater Father can not be
Righteous Savior sets men free
The Comforter pilots me
I sing Holy, Holy, Holy.

One cannot dwell in heresy
One died for sin, got victory
One seals us from the enemy
I laud the Blessed One in three.

Ten commands, Father’s decree
Jesus paid the ransom fee
Holy Spirit makes my plea
I worship God Almighty.

The mystery of the Trinity is not to be comprehended
but simply trusted and accepted and believed
