A Collaboration between Dorothy Gibbons and Natasha L Scragg first half Natasha second half Dorothy
I was lost in the land of Confused .com
When a Pink Power Ranger came to my aid
I told her of my techno trouble
But she admitted. " I'm afraid
We are in this land together
For I am confused as well "
Oh will anyone out there rescue us?
Only time will tell...
Aha ! I remember
Im Pink Power Ranger
Stops to think hmmm ... it's easy !
Techno problems are caused by men
Women are a smarter sex than that ...
Pink Power Ranger to the rescue
Eliminate all men from planet earth

An extra scribble
appears beside my own draft
across the blank page.
The words arrive more swiftly
yet who really spoke them?
Together we weave
a cloth, neither hand could make—
Collaboration!
At dawn I can't untangle
who wrote each word in the thread.
A ghost at my desk,
finished unfinished thoughts,
before I wrote them.
I gain a clearer voice, yet
lose the sense of - by and with.
I'm feeling lonely and blue, thinking of you
Trying to figure out what I need to do
to reconnect. I'm not sure what went wrong
but we haven't been together for far too long.
Distance has kept us so many miles apart
and it's caused an ache in my heart.
Lately, fond thoughts of you cross my mind.
Friendships like ours are difficult to find.
I'm sitting here, wondering if you
might be feeling this loneliness, too.
Let's get together sometime soon, my friend
and reminisce about us over a long weekend.
* Thank you, Danny Turner for offering me your lovely lines
as a foundation for our collaboration. Hugs, dear friend.
In the black sea of midnight
I stare at the vacant spaces.
Are there bees in your garden,
enchanting fragrance of flowers ?
jasmine, marigold, lily?
My cosmos is in gloom,
canopy of clouds in dark gaze.
No stars in my moonless room.
Your garden is frolic in radiant roses.
Turbulence of waves in my wild sea
Your words lingering in my bright sky
From far away, I think of you.
I wonder if you miss me too!

We must forget the past and work
together for a brighter morn.
Let hatred die with the old year,
and let our future now be born.
I may be old, but not forgetful
I let things just fade away
Learning not to be regretful
Rising toward a better day
So Looking at this future
That lies in front of us
Escaping from last year
And shaking off it's dust
Chorus
So, let us touch our glasses, together in a toast to better ways.
Here’s to your prosperity my friends, may life bring you better days.

Lyrics by Michael Coy and Jerry Curtis
This Is a Tanka written by Eileen Manassain and reimagined by me by
adding every other verse in order to create Lyrics we could put to music.
please visit Eileen recent page and enjoy This poem in it's original Form.
I want to Thank Eileen for the privilege of working with her on these poems
Nothing seems to last
The present now the past
flowers weep faded petals
Like flaking paint or rusty metal
A faint scent lingers
Upon the barren tips of fingers
once blooming in bright color
Now appear quite smothered
My poems have lost their appeal
No longer things seem real
emotions wither
And darkness comes hither
Wilted words whirl in the wind
Until they blow my way again
bereft of beauty
Void of duty
I strive to remain rooted
In a world so polluted
hoping for droplets of love
Droplets from above

MIDNIGHT CHIMES (COLLABORATION WITH DEBJANI MITRA)
This poem is an English translation of one of the beautiful Bengali poem of PS poet MALABIKA RAY CHOUDHURY
Midnight chimes unveil in cascade,
glances of your shimmering face
engulfing me in a transient dream...
As if you never went away!
As if I didn't wake up to see you're gone!
As if I no longer felt the shatters of pain
swaying back and forth, in an empty swing.
And nothing meant anything anymore.
Yet I know that I will hold you forever,
caressing you in the cradle of the moon.
Oh Yes! The enigma of your velvet touch
Is forever my own,
In symphony of the floral sea, and
In embrace of the endless sky.

Hello, my most esteemed poets,
I am trying an experiment that I believe has not been done here on the PS site. I have posted a new poetry contest called "The Prismatic Self: A Gauntlet of Mirrors within the Arena.".
The JUDGES have now been selected:
1. Lin Lane
2. Ink Empress
3. Duke Beaufort
4. Vanya Evangeline
5. Anne Winter
6. Hiya Sharma
7. Andrea Dietrich
8. Daniel Rodgers
Since only one person can view the contest, all contestants' submissions will be distributed between the group for input and ratings. When the contest is complete and we have the final list of winners, we will have personal insights from all the judges for each winner and all honorable mentions.
Thank you for your time and patience
Blessings,
Daniel
Gossamer wings display angelic quality
Empyrean dragonflies surround her
with ethereal ambiance
and with trailblazing elan
a bardess takes flight,
stirring our muses to
greater heights
Poetic princess with a golden pen
her true beauty lies deep within
she's an empress of empathy
compassionate toward all
equinox moon goddess
glowing white bright,
bleeding ink

'As she drinks nectar from a flower, sweetness from heaven falls like dew
anointed with a gentle rain amidst sun showers she appears as if on cue
Lifting her wings she lands on a Zinnia beneath a tinted sky of April blue
flight of fancy fanning fast, fabulous marvel, she is beauty true on true' ~ Mystic Rose Rose
my chrysalis heart traces her sparkling scales, kissed by saffron haze,
mirroring flickering flutters through her deep, warm, balmy gaze,
amidst petals unfurling diamond dreams, sewn with golden strings,
and sepals sprouting cerulean serenity, caressing sapphire wings…
but in the spring-touched garden of iridescent desire,
like tiny silhouettes pirouetting as wisps in the rain-soaked choir,
she scatters whimsical wishes across healing meadows,
erasing wild rose pollen steeped in woeful throes of crestfallen shadows…
Enduring in the gullibility of your
vacuous domain
Where viciousness stretched its cruel chains,
and vain vows cast in silver lined threads
were soft enough to soothe,
but sharp enough to shred.
I followed the fractures, fine as hair,
witnessed truth crackle through oxygenated air.
Your crown — little more than gilded dust,
from my puppet strings severed
I placed my trust
that you’d come undone from your reign unjust...
And in your castle carved from fears,
bloom black orchids, drenched in thistles of tears,
veiling the moon with lethal lace,
perfumed with poison, in gruesome grace.
Yet I refuse to drown in the seas of the artless,
like a marionette, silenced and heartless:
for I am the silhouette of silk and solace,
soaring beyond chains of brutality and malice,
To an island where thorn less love blooms,
and faith is the melody to erase written gloom,
from the sinister streaks of the narcissistic sun-stain
I ricochet amidst the night and champagne rain...

witty lyrics
melting my ears
yellow bright positive energy

smooth
shimmery gliding
melody fair, grooves
leisurely my moonstruck heart

the beat
of wings the bells
and merry flight of snow
the flap of angel crew as day
unveils
the drop
of dew the pearls
and birches whisper blow
the hymn of fresh horizon’s born
this morn
the reds
and greens in tune
in sunrise glow and shake
of berries in cardinal’s pine
awake
