The Butterfly, collaboration with Mystic Rose Rose

'As she drinks nectar from a flower, sweetness from heaven falls like dew
anointed with a gentle rain amidst sun showers she appears as if on cue

Lifting her wings she lands on a Zinnia beneath a tinted sky of April blue
flight of fancy fanning fast, fabulous marvel, she is beauty true on true' ~ Mystic Rose Rose

my chrysalis heart traces her sparkling scales, kissed by saffron haze,
mirroring flickering flutters through her deep, warm, balmy gaze,

amidst petals unfurling diamond dreams, sewn with golden strings,
and sepals sprouting cerulean serenity, caressing sapphire wings…

but in the spring-touched garden of iridescent desire,
like tiny silhouettes pirouetting as wisps in the rain-soaked choir,

she scatters whimsical wishes across healing meadows,
erasing wild rose pollen steeped in woeful throes of crestfallen shadows…

I have seen several yellow swallowtails and one Georgia blue this year but so few flowers in my garden for them to drink from this early, but they have plenty of wild thing blooming. Soupmail soon. The Butterfly's artful resourcefulness is in vibrant view herein Poetess. She is a wish that was, that is, and a wish that will be, living on a spectrum of unrehearsed heartbeats. "She is beauty true on true..." That's beautiful Zen. The final line conveys a rich sense of wisdom. Exquisite use of texture and color...J.A.B.

Dear Ink, this is an excellent poem that covers themes of beauty, metamorphosis, and the transient nature of joy and desire. It captures the sense of being attracted by nature's beauty and the emotions it elicits, notably via the depiction of a butterfly interacting with flowers in a spring garden. The language utilized is rich and evocative, with sensory elements that paint vivid pictures. Phrases like "nectar from a flower," "soft rain," and "sparkling scales" highlight nature's beauty and delicacy.
