Looking for Judges

Daniel Henry Rodgers

Judges Have Been Selected

Hello, my most esteemed poets,

I am trying an experiment that I believe has not been done here on the PS site. I have posted a new poetry contest called "The Prismatic Self: A Gauntlet of Mirrors within the Arena.".

The JUDGES have now been selected:

1. Lin Lane
2. Ink Empress
3. Duke Beaufort
4. Vanya Evangeline
5. Anne Winter
6. Hiya Sharma
7. Andrea Dietrich
8. Daniel Rodgers

Since only one person can view the contest, all contestants' submissions will be distributed between the group for input and ratings. When the contest is complete and we have the final list of winners, we will have personal insights from all the judges for each winner and all honorable mentions.

Thank you for your time and patience

Blessings,
Daniel

Hi Daniel, didn’t know where to ask this question as there is no comment section in Contest rules. I need to know whether the 400 words includes or excludes the quote & neologism definition. ThkU.

Dear Ghairo, Thanks for your question and the 400 words are only for the poem and not the quotes and definitions. Thanks Again. Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

I used to judge lots of contests for Shadowpoetry before it closed down. There were three judges and we were all anonymous. Prizes were given too. Very nice ones. It was such fun. I don't think I have what it takes to write for this contest but I will send you a Soupmail in case you still need another judge

I don't think I would qualify as a judge. Pity. I don't even dare organise a contest.

Dear Victor, thank you for your note and I think because you have a different view generationally and culturally you would make an excellent judge. Spring Blessings, my Dear Friend, Daniel

Daniel, I admire your dedication and desire to try this. You’re an amazing individual with a lot more to give than most! You have a lot of honor, empathy, sense of fairness, self control, and knowledge of the dangers of power and certainty. A man for all seasons. I hope this works out!!!!

Hello Duke, My friend! Thank you for your wonderful note and I very much enjoyed reading this morning. I don't know if I told you about me retiring on May 23rd. I am looking forward to it and I know that you retired and hopefully enjoying it. Spring Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Dearest Daniel, I wish you the very best. I wish I could participate in the contest as a poet but I do not think that my writing is good enough for it. Good luck, my dear friend, sending best wishes. With love and respect always, Anne

Dearest Anne, I think you could make an excellent judge because your bring a generational aspect and more than likely see things that others may not. Even if you are new at writing this might give you perspectives that would challenge your own writing. I would welcome you if you are interested. Spring Blessings, My Dear Anne, Daniel

Dear Daniel, this is a very good idea and I tried this with two other judges besides myself about seven years ago I think. It was the only contest I ever ran. Good luck in a brave and daring idea, should be interesting...Hugs

Dear Maria, Thank you for your note and I hope that it was successful back then. I would certainly welcome you as a judge if you are interested because I think you bring perspective from a different view. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Daniel, I was just chosen for Jury Duty, how ironic! This sounds very interesting to me. I found humor in the gender Male/Female/?? you're so cool. This is a motley crew, and think it is an honor to be excepted as a judge in your contest, good luck to those who submit their resumes. I think this is wonderful, and innovative! ~ Anaya

Dear Anaya, I am hoping that we get some variations of judges to make it more interesting and I am looking forward to my little experiment. I am hoping for diversity. Thank you for your note. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Dear daniel sounds like good research. Would be interesting to see how different generations , age, gender etc and how their taste in poetry varies. I am never straightforward with what i say in poetry, as i tend to speak in metaphors and flowery words so i might not be able to write as per your rules. However sounds like a good theme to see why we all write. I write to express. I need to write atleast one poem a day to keep the therapist away. Best wishes dear daniel. Sending you light always.

Dearest Empress, Thank you so much for your note and I did want to make this more challenging and not just a straightforward contest. I think you could be a great candidate for at least judging. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Dearest Lin, Sometimes it gets harder to catch up on my return notes. :) I guess that is why we like to write. I always believe that the way you write is unique and insightful from many different perspectives, which I enjoy. You are always welcome to be apart because of your talent. Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
