Global warming caused my cancer;
Here I thought my lack of shirts.
Carbon footprint’s karmic answer:
Carcinoma, just desserts.
Carcinoma!
From the sun, hot, burning on your face.
Now you must come clean,
Didn’t use sunscreen,
And you’ve done huge damage to your base!
Carcinoma!
Get those babies frozen right in place.
And the ones that are too large for that,
We can use the scalpel to erase!
We know this did not go as planned
It will only cost a couple grand.
What did you say?
Yeow! They only take prepay?
You’d better do it,
Don’t take your time,
Carcinoma,
Carcinoma, today!

We use animals to catch animals like 'fighting crime' in Chicago.
Shouldn't this be the point we think
about four fingers going in with a crooked thumb,
maybe rusting with whitlow,
taking hold of the silver on a sardine,
putting hooks through what supposed
to be its lungs should make us think
of Kentucky's Best & Reefer, not the buzz, but the carcinoma.
Our minds are never there; we are not that color people.
We call it entice or tackle, but we should turn on the balls
of our heels and head back home empty-handed.
unidentified never to be found
mysterious trace evidence
unsourced so not a soul will see
to view a preferably maintained crime
is harder than it seems
hired gun dressed up
in workers dress
seems to all ways
to look the best
take your time
no one will see
your real job
is to quietly end me...
cardboard dust that sticks to walls
makes the best carcinoma pneumonia
for all
so many particular tricks and so little time to share them all
no neutrality, makes for a bad Nation
for some but not all
Fighting Cancer of the Skin
By Franklin Price
8/12/2015
Fighting cancer of the skin
for me is number one;
whether from the war in Vietnam,
genetics or the Sun.
Doesn't really matter
Operate to keep ahead:
basal , squamous carcinoma;
no melanoma I am glad.
Plus forty years contending.
Burn and freeze and take a stitch.
Not the most fun thing I've done.
In fact, it really is a *****.
Doesn't really matter.
Very glad I'm here to say,
“Life is great I'm glad I'm in it,
keeping the alternative away.”
I've got the best of wives,
family and friends that can't be beat,
a paid for house and car to drive,
and look at me; enough to eat.
Thanking God for all I have
Some may think it is not much
It's more than many others;
can still see, and hear, and touch
Still walking on my own two legs
Brain is working still some tact
No artificial anything
I'm so happy, that's a fact.
If not for skin, my health is great
Better than most, my age, I've seen
Not longing for the other side
On my side the grass is green.
A fight between life and death;
Each day could be the last in the fight against the disease.
Carcinoma,Leukemia,Sarcoma; The three of Many classifications of the disease, and
The signs don’t always appear soon enough.
Each day could be the last in the fight against the disease.
The Three Cases: die in a blink of an eye, slowly die, or beat the disease;
The signs don’t always appear soon enough.
The feeling of slipping away each day even more than yesterday.
The Three Cases: die in a blink of an eye, slowly die, or beat the disease.
The wish to beat the disease, and
The feeling of slipping away each day even more than yesterday.
The wait for the results; Is it gone or here to stay? Is this the last day?
The wish to beat the disease,

A fight between life and death...
Carcinoma, melanoma sick twins
Inside their innocuous hosts grin
For surface tension brings no chagrin
Another, common diagnosis will time lend
Healthy cell structures to amend
Immune systems with guile befriend
In state of denial, journey begins
Signs not to the human eye hidden
But worry has healthy mind forbidden
Asbestos, carbon dioxide, dioxin
Immune filters will certainly fend
Smoking, over eating, years of gin
Only near life's end wages will append
Per chance through pore seeps pathogen
To rally antibody troops always an antigen
Discolored figment under skin
Bright pigment from allergen
A red rash can dry with benzine
Yellowish splotch need carotene
Brownish bump harmless toxin
Black mole surely genetic origin
Benign cyst lacking needed vitamin
Purplish lesion can cure with Neosporin
Small lump only a gland that's swollen
Goiter rarely takes malignant spin
Pseudoscrubbing was going on
the scripted drama, words apart.
The tears were denied to him
and the moon slowly made peace on the white
marble of a cult,
and the river had scored a victory.
He was very upset by the absence of
truth. Stupid god did not stand in the
witness box to testify the morality of
man. Genes were deciding the number
of queens. People were still worshipping
a pair of black Najas.
Neanderthal skull marks a step in the
evolution of art. The jaw bone still juts out
to define a mafia don. The slit eyes make
a good pottery class. White poison settles
in the breasts. An ovarian carcinoma
now spreads in bones.
My toes are burning. Cannot walk straight
I am not here. I am not there. I am not anywhere.
SATISH VERMA
she couldn’t get a tan that would make the grade round prom time &
so off to the cancer cocoons she went,
cooking herself crisp &
as orange as barbecued chicken---
after the prom & all of the
comments on her appearance which
beef up her ego,
she decides that this look has to be the one that stays &
on & on
the routine continues throughout the year
cooking herself
until a perpetual nonhuman glow
emits from her body 24/7 &
at home, at night,
nobody needs a night light anymore,
because she can lead the way through the dark
like a light stick that has just been cracked
before being flung around at a rave---
inviting all the basal cell cancer, squamous cell
carcinoma & melanoma,
she goes to sleep displeased with her natural beauty,
bathed in a tangerine tint &
dreams of better days when she can walk in cali
with her head held high.
Like a poisonous
Mushroom sprouting by my ear –
A carcinoma
(for anyone who doesn't know, a carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that looks like an irregular mole)

The Tanning Bed
By Elton Camp
Victoria wanted to get a healthy tan
So it was to the tanning bed she ran
It was there she learned of carcinoma
And all got worse, it was melanoma
