I told no one I'd seen the night—
how tension breached a sunset start,
how sea had swallowed all the light.
I told no one

the world is glass—a whale is art,
this frame of sky its ancient right,
it plays each game the same—by heart.

Still moment's pulse too wide to try
resuscitation, CPR—
now all that's left to gain, insight
I told no one.

Creep of extremism leaches in bloodstream, numbing
Route of innate thought unpenetrated, retains nothing
Sacred to the self, - stiff agendas pose as omniscient
Obscures own findings, carves our fragile opalescent

Ignores the phosphor we all hold, outlooks pertinent
Absorbs with proffer of doctrines contract penchant
Squashed compulsion, thwarted inside tight quarter
Squeezes dry the yearn for a gyrated circuit's quaver

Penance is a method administered by axiom rations
Ranks routinely recant individual's intuition ravishing
Shrouded rigmarole causes comprehension to shrivel
Oppresses pirouette quick swing of our mind's swivel

You form the breadth
And depth of me, my love,
As the sable night
In twilight's finest silk.

Lavender lilacs poise
In simplicity
And Fresh's joys;
Nature generously renders.
Its redolence wanders
On a small simple table
Set for two;
Quiet and peaceable.

Struggling dreams reach,
Eager climax cries.
Apace,
A waft murmur hum,
Lilacs scent lingers
Delicious romantic sighs;
Come smothering ardent rhythm
Through the warm hidden
Night it surrenders.

My love,
You form the breadth
And depth of me,
As the sable night
In twilight's finest silk.

Breadth of My Soul

i see you
curiously
watching me
as i walk
towards you
your mind
adrift
like leaves
of november

aglow
a flicker
of moonbeams
dance
in the pools
of your eyes
as they gaze
hopelessly
into the depths
of mine

endless shivers
run down
my spine
beneath
the stroke
of your fingers
as they brush
against me
gently sweeping
my hair from my face
before a kiss

a language
unspoken
through
hushed words
as your lips
tenderly nestle
against mine
lingering
in the breadth
of my soul

your whispers
consume
my once
vacant thoughts
with the echoes
of giggles
as you chase
after me
playfully
until i fall
into the depths
of your love
all over
again

The breadth
Of true love
Stretches
Far and wide
Longer...

Than oceans
Rivers
Continents
Deserts

It can't be
Measured
It stretches...

Beyond
Any road

Galaxies

Vast Akash

Limitless in length and breadth
Beyond measure in depth
Akash is the greatest field
Sheltering innumerable things docile and wild
Undisturbed, calm and peaceful
Truly resourceful
It never feels with anybody to compete
Permitting everything to pass through it.

Mountains, clouds, lightning and rains
Anything else like falling chieftains
Are temporary phenomena
Episodes in a drama
Vanishing waves in the river tide
Bubbles in the sea vast and wide.

I was drawn to her in temporal depth of night,
glancing her way in beams of harvested light
But in mourning her, I wept behind shrouds,
concealed by a hovering bank of sullen clouds

She'd danced for me in a green ruffled gown
Her supple skin changed to russet then brown
How she teased me from the height of her haven
So fetching, she'd aroused the caw of a raven.

Though love was too brief, merely one season,
my ageless vision had been ripened by reason
I watched as she fell prey to a merciless wind
and cursed it in anger as though it had sinned

I'd flail the slayer of my adored one's demise
but I can't bridle the wind, racing through skies
She was stolen from me by another's touch
Stripped from limb and held captive in his clutch

I cried softly when night finally faded away,
forfeited my will and the power to hold sway
My tears mingled with each crystalline snowflake
Stars never knew the breadth of my heartache

A fleecy white blanket has mantled her tree
I'll imagine she's there sleeping, thinking of me
And when in Spring she awakens once more,
from aloft I'll beam at her, rekindling our rapport

if my love for you was any greater
the trees would line up in poetic forms
...awe you in sonnets written...
...part...to allow winds to cool your face...
to trace it with nature’s hand.

all the oxygen that covers all the waters rise,
supercharge the breadth of my emotion.

mountains would melt, shed their peaks like tears of joy.

even the arid deserts serve up fruits,
their prickly pears peeled on a platter.

sunset would pause and sunrise hurry...
...exist in a paradox to herald your presence.

petals would climb their stems
regroup to bloom again.

butterflies re-cocoon
emerge as glorious fairies
for all children to adore.

the skies would willingly
shape, etch, paint,
frame my exuberance.

the planet would swell,
the galaxies expand.

in the endless depth
of my singular love
i hold you dear,
safely contain you
in my admiring smile,

for now,

forevermore.

Living a Life's Breadth Apart

Living with the love of your life,
But not loving the life you’re living
Is like living a life’s breadth from love

Premium Member The Breadth of Time

George walked past the throngs
Straight to the pier.
It had been a long day
And he needed
To digest it all, to recount
time.
To remember love again.
To catch it
In the air.
His large hands on the wooden rail,
Julie came to mind.
