brand new

Our eyes met I said hi and then goodbye
But you stayed in my head all night
There you were like a dream out of the blue
Fate’s hand weaving me closer to you

I threw my arms around you tight
Where have you been I asked with a smile
You looked at me and froze in place
What the who hurt your face
And in your gaze I felt brand new

We sat down talked like the world stood still
You leaned in close listened to every spill
You made me feel like I was worth the stars
Fixed my cracks and healed my scars

Our first kiss knocked the air from my lungs
Like every song I’d never sung
You held me like I was your world
A mess of a heart you gently unfurled

I threw my arms around you tight
Where have you been I asked with a smile
You looked at me and froze in place
What the who hurt your face
And in your gaze I felt brand new

Brand Never Fade

Tonight in Uttardangapara, I have no space,
Four shadows in one house, but one name still glows.
They took the floor, but not the beat,
I am Koyel Mandal — brand, not broken
Then glow never dim
Brand never fade.

Premium Member A Brand New Friend

This month I made a brand new friend
And she is such a gem!
In one way or another,
Every day we've spoken.

A connection sparked, I don't know how,
It happened very fast.
Yet, we both know we've formed a bond
That will, for a lifetime, last.

There's thirty four years between us
This was for her a concern.
But this gap means nothing
As friends soon come to learn.

We meet somewhere in the middle
As at heart I'm old - she's young
We share a certain sense of humour
And our sense of fun.

Overcoming reservations
And giving it a chance,
We have now seen each other
And have heard the accents dance.

What a lovely gift to get
When right out of the blue
An unexpected friend arrives
As though made just for you!

Looking at life, I can't help but feel
That you've arrived at the best time.
Thank you, my sweet dear new friend!

Premium Member Brand New Day

I listened and, though faintly,
heard the breaking of the day.
It sounded as a rooster's crow;
the cricket's song fading away;

The splitting of the morning air
by eagles' wings in flight;
the ringing of the church bells
and the crack of dawn's first light.

I looked and saw the parting clouds
acknowledging the sun,
like the opening of the curtain
when Act 1, Scene 1 has come;

Like the awesome entrance of royalty
into a crowded room;
like the joyous arrival of new life
from a mother's ripened womb.

I felt, in that brief moment,
that this was special, not mundane,
not like evening with its setting sun
or a rainbow after the rain.

This was different, not redundant,
never graced by poet's say;
and it was a new beginning,
first light of a brand-new day.

Premium Member The brand

Looking for a brand for our growing herd
Nothing fancy nor absurd
Just something to let em know their mine
Rain or shine
Getting them to water.
As days grow hotter
Long lonely nights
Avoiding the lights
Keeping them out of fights
Yep, takes nerve
Feelings held in reserve
To ride heard on any kind of chicken critter
Some seem down right bitter
It takes sand
But back to our brand
Chickens need a tiny branding iron for sure
No cure
I've watched them grow
I want you to know
Ain't easy roping them tiny necks for one.
Waking up before the sun
Crazy roosters trying to claw your eyes out.
No matter how loud I shout
A rooster is a dangerous critter
Grabbed my friend and bit her
Never know when they will start stampeding
There's no impeding
There's no helping you then
Mauled by a lunatic hen
You won't win
They are clucking crazy when riled .
Can go from meek and mild
To totally wild
In nothing flat
They drop the hat
That's right.
No sleep at night
All they do is fight.
Pooping my breakfast what can I say
That's my day.

Brand new day

A day has come thats new to me

A brand new season
A brand new reason
A brand new way i have to say

Politicians present politicians
To manage our manageability
With the public’s kind permission
Sweet public, you’re just a facility
I can’t choose from the offered content
Can’t be heard by those faces I see
Telling us what they think is important
You may agree with it or disagree
To them we worth less than nothing
Them and us don’t belong to each other
The difference remains contrasting
Politician was Cain, not his brother.

Each sun rising is a new chapter

Pensive
Not patient
Scattered
With no replacement
Not sure where my mind went
Maybe I could use a little treatment
A dark journey of embarkment
I fight as hard as I can
Each day it repeats
Not alone in the endless sea
I can see the sun start to peak
Nothing like the feeling of a fresh day
A brand new start

The Best of Me

When conscious of who I was and who I am delivered,
A sense of giving all my all, where previously I quivered.
I tried my best in all I did, through challenges diverse,
While others walked on smoother paths — for better, or for worse.

Though they had their problems, I watched them on the quest,
And when they died, it’s said of them, they truly did their best.
It puzzled me each time they passed, where silently I fell,
Pondering their journey — to heaven through a hell?

Guess so many try their best in everything they do,
Persevering and persisting, primely pushing through.
This unpredictable life with challenges, driven by mere hope,
And hope is hard to hold, down that shifty slope.

However, we're not good enough if we do not aim;
To float along should be wrong, such a shabby shame.
However, when my angel comes and carries me in rest,
I understand myself: they'll brand, “She did her very best.”

Brand New Colours

So many colours
Each comes from a different direction
Mixing and swirling, making new patterns
New colours flow from the edges
They have no names yet
But some artists, somewhere, will name them
Smear them on a blank canvas
Maybe sell it for a million dollars
All while I watch the swirls and twirls
I will stand around just waiting for the day to end
To see what the world gives me
And what the universe takes away

I said, "Since I got my brand-new dentures today,
can we maybe try some new adventures today?"
She said, "I think I have to wait a bit ~
That new smile! I just can't get used to it.
So, let's do the same old adventures tonight, okay ~
after we pray?"

Russell Brand, Ayn Rand and Ray Milland Walk into a Bar

So: thinker, “personality” and actor
	are looking for a drink.
If two of them are trailers, one’s a tractor.
“Nice counter-top. Real zinc?”

“Don’t ask them stuff. They memorise words
of better men, to spout ’em!”
“And his type feels the need to gather herds
	of sycophants about ’em.”

“There’s zinc in every human enzyme. Fact.”
	“An enzyme? Qu’est-ce que c’est?”
“A catalyst which helps your gut react
	a thousand times a day.”

Creators are the only ones who matter,
	just them and only them.
Who grows, can know: who knows can grow (and scatter):
	the human apothegm.

“The path from easy living? Slow decline
	to reach death valley days.”
“Misfortunes? They’re all relative, and mine
are slight. I’m not from Grays!”

Who hasn’t done his share of Boogie Nights?
	All wassail hours are zeros.
Two-thirds of humankind are parasites:
where should we look for heroes?

We have a thing now, called celebrity
that’s not the same as fame:
whatever ape forsakes the tree
	can make himself a name.

The world, for entertainment, craves a schism
	(Max Baer against Joe Louis):
but who foresaw the Queen of Capitalism
	would be a Russian Jewess?

Premium Member Tomorrow is a brand new day

Yet there's tears on my pillow
from the silence of my sorrow
In slumber I feel no fears
On my pillow, yet there's tears
I plan to be happy tomorrow
And awake with an inner glow.
