wonder if she is a bluejay

one lone bird tries to interest others in conversation
twee wee wee wee twee wee wee wee
no one takes her up on it
I cannot see her
but I feel her frustration
I wonder if she is a bluejay
they seem to be ostracized and friendless

Blue Jays

in a morning drowse,

the sunlight warms the bed sheets,

blue jays bring you coffee.

I Buried a Bluejay Today

I buried a bluejay today.
He flew with grace into a window pane.
From my sunroom I watched and heard the Kaplunk.

I buried a bluejay today.
I watched him take his last breaths.
Broken neck aside the rose bush.

I buried a bluejay today.
Along with some vegetables so he could decay.
And blanketed gently with some fresh soil.

Here the Bluejay***

Here!  Here!  …These tall,
Spindly stalks, although sweetly 
JGreen, with their crowns bobbing
In the touches of air…the Cosmos
   Flowers wait…
For their rippling nocturne to begin,
To sound forth the garden dances
…Here
To bloom, a delicious pink…or, too,
Their petals in a star’s  white circling
 The precious points of pollen
— Ready for their

blue jay it does fly
 aloft away blends in the 
blue morning  eve skies

Twilight of the Bluejay

sapphire on sapphire
at the rise of jewelled night
when the stars flash fire

mysterious quest
like the wide-eyed owl spying
as beauty's fading

in the vast deep blue
the scarlet sun is sinking
like a cherry bomb

There Was a Bluejay

I saw a little bird today, it was a Bluejay. 

The little bird was the cuties little thing.

But the bird had a broken wing.  It tried,

and tried to fly, but it had a broken wing.

So, instead of flying the little Bluejay bird,

begin to sing, sing, sing.  Do what you can do.

all afternoon           
the blue jay calls
flies off and lands again
pushing his lifeless mate
through the dry grass

in the skies clear 
my eyes search hard.

No need to worry 
No need to fear
Goodness will find it's way clear
My strength is my weakness
It opens my heart
To those dark places 
Which sets them apart
I bring them Gods light for they are still lost
Kindness my friends.......Has no cost.......

My Bluejay

He tilts his head
watching me approach,
knowing full well
that he is master 
of the attack on my 
strawberries…no use
fighting about it..he
just waits and hops 
along the fence. I give in
with a certain pleasure, and
do not begrudge him
his share..

Bluejay Escorting Me One Morn 

 

Taking early morn walk to settle worldly thoughts
 so gentle the path and green splashing trees
Solitude and peaceful spirit so easily bought
enjoying Nature's gift of the birds and the bees

Before reaching first hiking trail's little bend
 found I had a blue flashing fast flying friend
A bluejay seemed to be

a regal blue-jay

perched on a barren tree limb--

harbinger of spring

That Blue Jay made short work
Of that beetle morsel
On the gnarly branch
Sort of like me
