Two people that I love the most Are standing on two different shores, And I am stranded in between, Trying to mend a quiet war.
Avery looks me in the eyes And tells me , "You shouldn't have to be in the middle of this." But how can I just walk away And pretend that I am blind, When every harsh and heavy word Leaves both of them behind?
Liyah feels the distance grow, She thinks that Avery’s moved along, Traded years of memories For a place where he belongs. She sees him take up all the space, She feels forgotten in the shade, Watching from a step behind At every plan they ever made.
I know the truth of how it goes— I’ve seen how Avery tries to reach, Inviting her to come along, To walk beside us in the halls. But when he shows up in the frame, The distance starts to slowly grow Avery drifts into his pace, And Liyah lets her footsteps slow.
It’s not as simple as a fault, It’s heavy feelings misaligned. I want to protect Liyah's heart, So I keep what I see inside. I cannot pick a side to take, I cannot turn and walk away, So I will stand right in the middle, Hoping love will find a way.
we used to be inseparable,
childhood best friends who did everything together
going to each others houses, sleepovers and midnight snacks
crying together, laughing together, telling each other everything
they told us these bonds are special, never to be broken and to last a lifetime
they told us to treasure these moments because they wouldn’t come again
not us we said, we would never watch the distance grow
our friendship could never fade! right?
i get it you want other friends
so do i, we’re only human
it’s okay, we need some time apart
no worries, we don’t have to meet each other that often
i understand, we don’t have to tell each other everything
was i really that replaceable?
forgettable, disposable, expendable?
was i just the one before her?
a way to pass the time until she came along?
just a phase you outgrew or a means to an end?
12 years of friendship and somehow it’s all reduced to this,
when did i become just another memory?
when did i become so easy to leave behind?
i was a small chapter in your story,
but you were my entire book
Hey I love you
God Loves you too
He loves me too
We are loved
and we are best friends
I met a bunch of people
They are all my best friends
I have unlimited best friends
I know we are all Jesus best friends
He loves us all so much
He died for us all
He is God also my Best friend and Your Best friend too Our best friend Loves us all
Truth is we will all be united in eternity
we will be singing with Joy from how amazing it will be
all of this life we had no idea how great it will be to be with God forever
I remember a place before I was created after I am gone
a place of Love where Love sustains
DMX thanks for being my dog from forever
Pac I know we in this forever
Biggie I remember you always
Never forget my road dogs
In the cross roads I trust in My deepest road Dog Yeshua
He walks with me always and forever
I became one with the sky one with all the world
I found you deep inside of me
My Yeshua aka Jesus or as I call you Josh my Joshie
Best friends are forever I am still down road dogs for life DMX Yeshua is with us always now and forever. agape love always wins.
Together we cried all the way home.

Yes I may be loud at times but I speak quietly with you
Yes I may appear nonchalant but care deeply about you
Just because I'm social doesn't make everyone my friend
I may have love for everyone but only for you my back will bend
I may share things with others that may appear deep
But the details and shameful things I give to you to keep
With others I enjoy conversation and chemistry
With you I enjoy the security of our built history
I may enjoy the limelight but I also need you by my side
Extroverts can tell who comes along just for the ride
I may at times appear to not take any one seriously
You're the one I'll fight to keep and would do so fiercely
Extroverts appear careless but they have insecurities
Being a social chameleon isn't their only ability
Just as an introverted person doesn't let just anybody in
We're the same, but when we do we're in it till the end.
Trixie, my muse, runs screaming through the house with ideas
They bounce off furniture, turning into lightning bolts
The drapes are on fire; she cares not
She if foolish and reckless, a wild child who cannot be tamed
Wild knows wild, my imagination says, laughing at her antics
He and Trixie get along great; they are always cooking up something
Lightning bolts are zinging down the hallway
one misses my head by inches, they both laugh,
They are careless devils, my muse and my imagination
The house is burning down! My husband yells from the front room
We are all in flames before they are finished.
I run toward the shed, carrying my laptop.
They follow me, laughing manically.
Nothing can ever erase the history we have build together
Through ups and downs we promised friendship forever
We understood each others weapons of emotion and pain
Years have gone by and our friendship remains the same
Our circumstances and problems never got in the way
We're cultivating what we have with few words to say
There was a time when I thought I'll find another you
You're my twin emotionally so that's impossible to do
We're always fighting for one another just like family
I still remember when we met and you were new to me
I still don't understand what made us clicked so fast
We have watched each other grow as time has passed
There's no one with your heart, personality or views
You're a precious gem and I would never find another you
She met him first time,
When he pulled at her pigtail,
She declared war then.
Her first crush ghosted,
So he was on call all night --
Both their hearts breaking.
She failed her math test,
He wove lies that he did too --
Just to share her woes.
That boyfriend of hers?
Called her ugly; The next day-
Showed up with black eye.
She jokingly asked,
If he ever loved; His eyes -
Could not hide it well.
She met him again,
When she walked down in white -
To his blinding smile.
Cradling her close then,
He kissed her for all the years
Before and to come.
Donald and Harvey skipping and free,
never were two men more friendly,
holding hands and keeping things down low,
no telling how far a friendship will go!

our best friends are dogs
my husband and I
they sleep like logs
not even a sigh
they consume like hogs
roll in the mud too
They are loved so much
Buddy, Beau and Blue
So you want me to call you my best friend
Will you weather storms with me until the bitter end
Will i be able to call you in the middle of the night
Will you forgive me after we've had a very big fight
Will you understand me when others just can't
Will you listen to me when i rave and rant
Will you take care of me when I'm unable
Will you cultivate this friendship keeping it stable
Will you be honest with me and tell me when I'm wrong
Will you help me when I'm weak and push me to be strong
Just being a friend alone much work needs to be done
To be called a "Best Friend" isn't a label just for anyone.
I have so many best friends on PoetrySoup
It has been the go-to-place for me to meet people.
People from Australia, Africa, New York City, and Texas.
I have no idea where some of my best Soup friends live.
In the middle of the night, I will get messages from my besties.
Many of them have sent me points for my contests.
They wish me “happy birthday,” “happy Easter”, “happy Friday!’
So many wonderful friends I have made on this site.
If I am lonely or sad, I get online and read my messages.
People are kind, empathetic, lovely in their sentiments.
I am uplifted by them. They are as much a friend as my off-line friends.
Maybe more so. They understand me better.
When I see you I fill with joy
You have been there all along
You played with me
all day long
You bring me what I need
You'll never let me fall
even when you're gone
you will here my call
you and me running across the lawn
Even if it hurts to see you go
I love you, my friend
are love will only grow
I will always lend a hand
