Best Yellow Fever Poems

Wild Rose

scarlet streaked with yellow
I lean to breathe in her scent
I reach out to feel her touch
she pricks me
and I bleed...
bleed her scarlet fever
bleed her yellow fever
she needs me to bleed
so gladly I bleed
scarlet streaked with yellow

Forbidden Rose

scarlet streaked with yellow
I lean in to inhale her scent
I reach out to feel her touch
she pricks me
and I bleed
bleed her yellow fever
bleed her scarlet fever
she needs me to bleed
so gladly I bleed
scarlet streaked with yellow...

she grows
she flourishes
in my garden of pain
and delight...

Dedicated to 'The Rose of Texas' - Irma Linda (PD)

Wild Rose

Scarlet streaked with yellow
I lean to breathe in her scent
I reach out to feel her touch
she pricks me
and I bleed…
bleed her scarlet fever
bleed her yellow fever
she needs me to bleed
I need her to need me to bleed
so gladly I bleed
scarlet streaked with yellow...

Wild like the rose, I must have
vicious when in bane
Swallow the aroma... Passion
acknowledge the tropical beauty
enjoy the inspirational tease
bondage and bandages of needing,
aroused by the pain
aroused by the danger
Inviting... Touch my wilderness
I stick, you bleed
stroke, with fever, chills
viral & unexpected, "I am The American Plague"
Wild like the rose, you must have

Those dirty little mosquitoes cause many a virus
Malaria, west nile, yellow fever and elephantiasis
Don't mean to make light
At the last one, I looked twice
Parts of my body could benefit from enlarging twice

Thirty feet within the darkness band
There appears movement upon distant sand
Demons of yellow fire forming clan
Sam dropped to his knees and then
Buried his hands deep in the sand
Cry to mother earth in land
Woman help me to withstand
Sam, than began to stand
With one shield and sword in each hand
Much gratitude to you Beloved Lady of the land
Have at thee, ye demon, Sam fanned
Slicing the first beast at mid span
Sam continued to hack at the clan
Four then came at Sam in a band
Sam with shield thrust, beasts now I make stand
Victory at all cost be my battle cry and plan
Now have at thee, ye beast demon men

Approaching now a unit of nine
Battle ready crew said superior troop
Closing around Sam, encompassing loop
Demon horde fools Sam says and begins to laugh
Error on your part, ye think Sam I am daft

Advancing on Sam now be the last nine
The first, sword take two from head fine
The third, shield severs his spine
Sword pierced two from behind
Sam had calm of mind
Last hit point dime
Spilled blood wine
Wind sign
Climb

Ever her call beckons me
Sam my dearest where art you
From the pits of hell I come
My love, on my way

Recent Revelations

horrific, decades-long
study syphilis, study its effects
covert medical testing

army scientist
bitten by mosquitoes,
yellow fever
mustard gas,
enter chambers
temporarily blind

dark age
hospital patients
injected with plutonium,
atomic soldiers
in the waves
of nuclear explosions

trace amounts of radiation,
in breakfast cereal
of handicapped children
new drug, LSD
dropped over a French town,
unsuspected, hallucinations

with the latest discovery,
reports of dark practices
soon to follow.

Banana Republic Appeal

Peel back the onion tear squeals
coming from a televised live politico lynch rally
See the sound byte rubber duckie
teflon touting
his favorite effigy combustible hits

Penguin strutting presidential seal
got a billy goat attitude, kicking rude gutter alley
A moving goalpost sway dis plucky,
sour spouting
his most edgy, nitroglycerin lip obits

Give an Orwellian mad props shout out
to this Banana Republic appeal
It’s got plenty of Hammedetha hate, swastika love
Bent cross rules
trolling tropic yellow fever

Rabid delirious cold sweat vanilla doubt,
fascist hope has a death toll knell
It’s got bundles of blitzkrieg love, Haman hate
Coin bossed tools
pull on the hangman’s lever

Banana Republic appeal
got a filthy lucre piggy publican feel
Roman togas behind the keel steering wheel,
Caesars wanton more red dollar bills

Two thousand fraudulent, furrowed years,
crucified cries dripping with Diaspora tears

Banana Republic appeal ...
Legionnaire monkeyshine hurt,
skeleton bones
sabertooth rattle toss
a high yellow alert

Alien fear don’t have to gun tote yield,
power corrupts when a Balaam wields

Scimitar curved insides
swinging sling blade serrated hate
Dividing every Canary gripe state

Carny barker razor edge spit,
spiked with Herod care,
lung pour Raid
the Dixie klear kup of Kool-Aid

Banana Republic appeal ...
heady void, thoughtless swill
Pendulum arc bullet shot
is a guillotine drop done deal

The yellow FEVER spared not EITHER woman, child or MAN
New Orleans’ DREAD was the many DEAD to bury on the LAND.
Suffering UNDER a disease of WONDER they couldn’t UNDERSTAND,
in 1852 they never KNEW the mosquito had a HAND.

The yellow FEVER spared not EITHER black, white, rich or POOR.
You feared the MARK of “Y” so DARK, if painted on the DOOR.
Some felt the DANK of swamp so RANK had caused cases to SOAR
not to KNOW the MOSQUITO was making much the GORE.

The yellow FEVER spared not EITHER young or pretty FACE.
When you took SICK, they moved you QUICK away to the Leper PLACE.
Lazaret Island was WHERE those full of DESPAIR became a hopeless CASE.
It was THERE that time and tide would WEAR, human beings to WASTE.

They had to SURVIVE to 1905 when the last epidemic OCCURRED.
By then they KNEW the mosquito was CLUE and cleanliness, was the WORD.
They took off the MASKS and boldly ASKED, “What practices are ABSURD?”
Mosquitoes to BLAME Max Theiler got FAME when a new vaccine was HEARD.

The Year of Rats

2020 is the year of lassa fever
Or the year of rats as I've heard somewhere,
For as innocent as they might seem They are now reservoirs,
Of these dreaded virus Causing lassa fever
That  has spread widely in Africa
In Nigeria benin ghana
And now Sierra

To avoid lassa you need to take care,
Of your surrounding leave no holes
For entrance ,
When you feel ill Don't say it's just a fever a symptom of malaria  typhoid or yellow fever
Don't hesitate it might be the silent killer
By that I mean lassa hemorrhagic  fever

Don't be blinded by phrases  common in Africa
Like the popular saying *Small disease no dey kill Africans*,
Alas African man too can be killed with lassa fever,
Within days it can bring his death near,

So don't be foolish enough to draw your death near,
avoid lassa by Maintaining hygiene in the household areas,
Rodents aren't best friends to humans in these era,
So keep them of your home as a preventive measure,
Avoid contact with infected individuals
Don't only bullet proof your doors get yourself a rodent proof food containers,
Or get a beautiful cat thatll rid them off your area.

To avoid lassa we must be vigilant
Not just you and me
But all those working in health centres ,
Working hard day and night to provide us with care,
Thier kind of devotion and love is so rare,
If they died if lassa we'll be in despair,
So let's remind all of them from far and near,
To take proper precaution in patient care,
Google's and mask shoul always be weard,
Hand hygiene shouldn't be forgotten before and after each procedure,
And proper disposal technique shoul be ensured,
So they don't fall victims of lassa fever.

Premium Member The Curse of Covid

Millions walking around in masks who,
Hide their faces in fear.
But answering the call are those heroes,
Who risk their lives to save,
Others everyday.
Some do not heed the warning and,
Lie to regret it.
Families mourn their loved ones,
Not understanding.
We've seen this before,
Yellow fever, the black plague
And polio the diseases of mankind.
The healers looking searching for,
The answer to save the world.
One day in the future the answer,
Will come.
This is the curse of Covid.

Colorful Affair

In the front seat of the train ... I saw her ...
      Painted hair, stunning look ...
      She saw me, and said:
     - Pleasure, I'm a blue waste ...!
I confess I did not notice any waste ...
     Pink cheeks, piercing eyes
mouth painted ... dazzling I would say ...
   "Pleasure," I said.
   - You know the "red menace"?
Ah! This has already passed ...
   - Well, and "yellow fever"!?
   - This is under control ...
   - And "green revolution"! ?
Ah! This is what I hope ...
Ah! finally ... you found me ...
It's me ... I came to revolutionize your life!
She invents names to sing me, to
   conquer me ... who am i ...?
    - Pleasure again ... is your name ...?
    - No, I am, green revolution ... I liked it
Of you, let's get hitched ...!
     Dumb, I received a tremendous kiss ...
fainted ,,, he kissed me again ...
      I fell asleep
"You know, I liked you," she said when I woke up.
     - You just ...? I love you ...!
     - It's that you are so colorful ... I am ... I went
always so pale in life ... page
       in blank... !
     - Let's write this book with love ...
Let's paint the newer world ... come on!
And so she took me into her life ....
     Colorful brand new life ...
She is now, fertile green field ... I
     fertile green the sower ...!

Fever

There was once a driver
Infected with yellow fever
Who passed it on to his woman
And she to the barman
And they all came down with a fever
