Wild Rose

scarlet streaked with yellow
I lean to breathe in her scent
I reach out to feel her touch
she pricks me
and I bleed...
bleed her scarlet fever
bleed her yellow fever
she needs me to bleed
so gladly I bleed
scarlet streaked with yellow

Tim, your colours blend and melt softly into the heart and make romance from a thorn sound quite exciting, very well done....David

I like your portrayal of the rose and her thorns...or something deeper perhaps? there is something almost sensual about this...soup mail...

It might be safer to pick a daisy....than the rose? Just a suggestion! :)
