Best Wisp Poems
Over the hillsides, together we burn space and time....galloping with the wind...
Clouds take me by the hand, and wind takes you by the mane
Nothing outside our world can rival this contentment
I can close my eyes, and trust that you will keep me safe
O' beautiful creature that you are, your every movement breeds a fever
Your every stride, takes me onto the precipice of happiness
We are runaway dreamers, in the moment of some happy memory
I hear the infinite past at the heels of your enchanted hoof
Which ancestor first felt this same connection?
At one with nature, at one with beast....O' beautiful creature that you are
In the deep evening light of the early winter storm
We are in a crystal white garden,
just a trace of a moon between the clouds
The chill of the snowflakes falling,
as the wind is the force behind us
while sight of your warm breath streaming
is white in the moonlight's beam
A trail left behind in our intimate world....
Such a moment is proof....like an ancient legend
That we have passed this way
Snow is still falling, but nothing can erase that we have been here
We are the messengers...together we will be witness to the world
That the hearts of species as wide as the universe
Wind beneath our souls as one
Can beat as one....drawn together, like poetic and timeless music
I am part of you....and you are part of me
And that both hearts can feel the same remorse when day is done

Narrative
How many times did I gaze on thy face
In mine daydreams? When spent sun was fiercer;
Before night lapse in dank vesture of lace.
Mine wane smile died with memories dear sir.
Whiff scent of nature's breath upon mine cheeks
Unfurl the substance in mine trouble soul.
Swell of explosive unsated love seeks
Warm wisp embrace, of thy intimate whole.
Brush flitter, around musical full score
Ivory fingers purposeless upon
My ebony frame, asking for much more,
Sweet release, mine demise, a distant yawn.
Eternal sunshine that was mine, a force
That's still mine total joy, but night's remorse.

Softly
Spring’s wisp
strolls tenderly
Sullen
slowly moving
singing songs of
Spring’s bright
Spring’s warmth
Spring’s buds stringing along mine
sight
Sadly
Spring’s snow
Slowly prods
Spring’s wisp
Surreptitiously
Spring’s wisp aches for
Spring’s
strip

Haiku
While the whistle of a wind wafts
on a sunny haze of spring's hours;
heady sounds sail on air-wings' pageant:
the chime of birds, long coda of cooing bees,
and the wheat field's chants, so soothing...
here, glossy grasses answer in windy sighs
that blaze tilted butterflies traipsing on trees.
Gaily the bubbling of the brook
flows beside the breezy bush
where west wind flows ,and bubbles burst
a gentle whirl wandering along flowerbeds,
that my walking leads me far beneath a sky
in the softest spring... where a splendor
of fluid wind- wheeze slip-slides by,
blessed by the wonder, wisp,
and whimsical sway of a zephyr's spring- world!

Hi, I'm Druzy, and I'm a big girl cuz I'm six
I'm stuck inside today...Oh, FIDDLESTICKS!!!
Mom said I can't go outside cuz it's raining
I cried and she yelled, "Druzy, stop complaining!"
Bored with games, I sat, pouting on the couch
Something pinched me, and I screamed, "Ouch!"
That's when I saw them; two witty bitty things
who were giggling and flapping little fairy wings.
One made faces at me each time I'd blink.
Said, "My name is Blythe. I always wear pink."
The other whispered that Alayna was her name
then she asked if I'd like to play a fairy game.
I kept blinking at them with my big brown eyes,
thinking, "Do they have the power to hypnotize!"
They chanted a song I had never heard
but it made me start singing like a mocking bird!
My head got really heavy and started spinning.
The little fairies were mischievously grinning.
They touched sparkling wands to my head
just as Mom said, "Druzy, it's time for bed."
I frowned, as crocodile tears were falling
The fairies said, "Druzy, please stop bawling.
Come with us to Willow Wisp On High.
We have fairy dust that will make you fly."
Blythe gently blew glittery dust in my face.
I sneezed, and my pajamas turned into pink lace.
"Now you will shrink to become our size
and we'll travel on a moonbean that we crystallize."
On this magical night I saw wonders...galore!
A dragon dancing with a beautiful sprite, and more...
But I was getting sleepy as the sun began to rise
so home I flew, surrounded by golden butterflies.

Rhyme
i recollect thoughts like shells
as i walk along
on the shores of time
alone
memories tumble
like waves at dawn
in remembrance of you
i feel the mist of salty spray
as it it runs down cheeks
like tears of yesteryears
now gone by
i hear the wisp of wind
fall like whispers
of words
unspoken
the pounding waves
in rhythm with my heart
as my feet sink
within the sand
and i stand
alone
in my thoughts
memories dissipating
beyond the fog
as the sun peaks
above it all

I felt the Sun breathe it's life
as you became
revealed inside a dream of golden fire
touching in a rainbow hue of colors
resting on a dying mist
living but
a moment's wisp.

He closed his hand to make a fist,
as he stood silently behind bars,
a wisp of transparent mist
specked and sparked like stars,
defiant, and reliant,
as his freedom was just a dream,
and her life ended in a scream,
glancing upward he saw,
her ghostly image reaching out to claw,
the cloudy air,
her death was his fear,
his actions brought him here,
and her there,
forever they’ll stay,
he will remain in prison for killing the one he loved,
crime of passion, without compassion,
as he prays to God above,
her ghost flying,
and he could hear the angels crying,
as his spirit was trailing down,
Hell-bound,
underground,
where it would be found.

I am an escape artist
the best in my field
I never hang about
with brouhaha or ado
presenting long-winded
monologues to explain,
gesticulating wildly
or a self-convincing
soliloquy
when I'm gone, I'm gone.
Usually
the trigger is
an awkward feeling
that seeps into my soul
seeping and twisting
into the wires of my brain
nudging and prodding
get your ass in gear
you are not wanted here
and, before anyone notices
I'm clear as the tail end of smoke
a wisp of smoke
I am an escape artist
the very best in my field.

And there I was...
a cigarette in hand
It was all I could hold.
You came to me
spoke of things
so small.
I allowed them in.
I could take the littleness of it all.
Nothing larger than my breath.
My vessel was full,
full of bigger things.
More than you could ever hold in your empty heart.
Empty, it was still full of your foolishness.
But even so
a wisp of smoke
can fill the void
again,
tainted air
is full of despair
and I choke!

Bio
Hello--My good son Wisp; Hello~
You are such a handsome fellow
And your manner is quite mellow
Watching Willow dressed in yellow:
As the musician plays the cello,
To its tunes, you both gently sway --
And crooners began to bellow
Hello--My good son Wisp~ Hello
You are such a lucky fellow
Smoothly prancing with her that way
Swing and sway with your young Willow
As emerald dreams your pillow, sprays
Genteel laughter teases your marrow
Promises made for the next day,
When true love shall have its own way
You are such a handsome fellow
Lift away sweet Willows sorrows…
