TRUST WITH YOUR EYES WIDE OPEN...
Shortcuts are best suited to desktop on the computer,
Not intended for the average commuter.
You will always get cut short, if you try one from a plane,
And shortcuts from a train only ends in pain.
Your stay on a ship may be short, should you slip.
Cars don't normally fly, so don't even try.
One on a bike, could result in quite a hike.
A shortcut while running, is not very cunning.
Walking with a book, may change the way you look.
Shortcuts should not be undertaken by the average builder,
Not even for a guilder.
Any shortcuts with tools, is only for fools.
It could be your loss, if you take shortcuts to please the boss.
Trying them when you cook, will only make you crook.
Shortcuts while cutting up food, may not put you in the mood to eat that food.
And shortcuts when unwell, could find you down a well.
A shortcut when drinking, will set other's hearts to aching.
If you are looking for fun, don't take a shortcut with a gun.
Getting caught short makes shortcut a must, if you don't want to bust.
A shortcut from a map, will see no mishap.
Dogs and large cats in your way, makes a shortcut ok.
Avoiding a fight sometimes necessitates one, even excuses having to run.
Though my best advice, before you hit the wall,
Most shortcuts are no use at all.
Manage your time and your shortcuts will decline.

Do not waste it away
Moments come and go accordingly
Make the best of every day
Have it on your mind

At a certain age we can create ourselves a new family.
Fresh start.
Clean slate.
New rules.
Choose wisely. Find people who like you.
Better yet choose people who love you.
It does not matter how long it takes
It does not matter how many false starts and stops along your path
Keep looking. Look where you want to be.
Look while doing what you love to do.
Relax
Enjoy
Play
Your playground is where
You will find your new love and your new family.
Choose wisely
love is more than a feeling, it’s also a choice,

don't believe what you
see
cos behind the close
doors lies a lot unknown
as the saying goes
all that glitters are not gold
look beyond what you see

can't you see that

to us when they need
just our vote
as always every four years
election time is few day
ahead in Nigeria
is obvious
our politicians has not change
despite their obvious failures
they are still promising us
of change
even when is obvious
to us that they are the
very one not giving change
a chance to be a reality
in our country
so I call on every Nigerians
to vote wisely
is obvious the only
weapon and chance for
change now lies
on our choice of vote

Lord,
Amid my hurry and my haste,
let me be slow but time not waste.
For time, is yours alone to give,
I must use it wisely while I live.
Time, is like an arrow once let fly,
that makes it's way across the sky.
Retrieve I can't, once it is gone,
nor can I save or to others loan.
For the time remaining allotted me,
may it be used dear Lord, for thee.
That as in life where ere I wander,
time given me I will not squander.
Do not fall quickly into friendship's grasp
Do no be too eager for a hand to clasp
You may find yourself too soon bothered and harassed
And come to wish that friend had been recast
Good friends are hard to come by this everyone knows
It's best to be cautious with whom your arms seek to enclose
Be careful to whom your secrets you choose to disclose
You may too soon wish there was someone else you chose
It is wise to use discretion when picking a new friend
You want someone who will be with you until the very end
Someone with whom lots of time you cheerfully spend
Someone on which you no have doubt you can depend
Friendships can be easy to get into but hard to maintain
Will they be there for you to guide you through your pain
Will they listen to your problems when you want to complain
Trust me, the wrong friend can most assuredly drive you insane!

in what is condemned to be truthfully laid bare has rights
Narrative has taken an awful twist towards bullying
in the opposite direction within no man's land
pushing evil agendas down a person's throat as caring
academically impaired those claiming knowledge
When we witness this physical exchange
reshaping everything logical in this world
to speak within council
replacing it with what I say
For those outside the kingdom of God everything is in parables
giving us visions enabling us to hear correctly
but not understand least they should turn and be forgiven

Morning dew splatters upon my head
I stand on a point thinking of what to do for tomorrow
yesterday slipped through my fingers
as autumn slipped through summer
today is about to pass me by
as 29th is about to pass through 30th
yet my tomorrow is unknown
why not wait for me time?
My age increase everyday
While I still on a point thinking of what to do
Winter passes me by made to shiver,
Evoke the image of a friend I saw yesterday in an exotic car
Tears roll like stream from my eyes to mouth,
I taste the sweetness of laziness
Whom should I blame except me………………….
Time is precious, needed to use wisely
HASTILY HIDING WISELY WAITING
Flying fish are really gliding, gracefully so.
Frantically, from so many predatory piranhas.
Silkily, sliding into the most fearsome fray!
Hastily hiding, in very thick growing, sightly sedges.
Wisely waiting until the predators pass.
Satisfyingly safe, start to safely fly feeding.
Dusk darkening, welcoming much needed silent sleep.

I love to tell the story about the time I answered the phone several years ago.
It was a new experience for me when I said, “Hello”, and the caller said, “Please hold”.
My immediate reaction was, “Did she really call me and put me on hold? Unbelievable!”
My next step was to gladly hang up, because I wasn’t in the market for their product or service.
Like all the racing rats of this fast pace world,
We soon come to realize that there are many and variant wings that flow and blow.
So learning to wait and be wise, we dare not venture recklessly and make haste.
May we dare to be patient and in the “know”.
There’s that certain wind on which our wings must go.
Like an eagle on a high mountain cliff who wants to fly higher and soar without a care.
Like the master of the sky who has known for so long to be keen and much aware.
His mother eagle taught him long ago that his wings alone cannot take him there
We will, like our eagle friend, wisely wait and debate;
We will, through the eagle’s eye gate, hesitate and negotiate.
Yes, that certain wind under girds his wings and takes him away.

I have a little malady; it feels like leprosy or maybe it just looks like it
The recipient of chicken pox twice, slap cheek and now shingles,
I could spend my life being irritated, angry, lamenting my fate
They have not lasted five days, they have lasted five years
One day I said let’s ignore them, maybe they will go away
They do not go away, and I sit on them, on my left side
So, you can imagine this is truly comfortable.
Not!
We tried seven remedies; I cannot take a shingles shot until they go away.
My doctor said “they may never go away;
this was the worst-case I had ever seen.”
Okay, if we are going to live together shingles,
then I will to do a lot better job of ignoring you.
I can throw salve on you sometimes,
but other than that, you are not wasting my time.
I choose poetry, I choose art, I choose cartooning. I choose my dogs.
You take very little of my mind or my thoughts.
My choice, my outlook, my attitude.
I am choosing wisely.
Acid reflux.
Swollen ankles.
Arthritic feet.
Try not to get old.
Extra weight.
Bad teeth.
Unhappy gums.
Stay young as long as you can.
Sluggishness.
Apathy.
Indifference.
Okay, now, people, we’re getting into choices now.
Choose wisely.
