Best Whimsey Poems
Grab that whimsey, don't wipe the blow.
The feeling, of fear, starts to grow
Creepy tendrils that dart around
In your head, they can't be bound
Unleash the power of your poetry,
That is what empowers the poet free.
Let it flow from heart to page,
And let your imagination rage.
Sunlight illuminates the abyss of my heart.
But gloom lurks, for betrayal shreds apart.
The simplicity that I used to consider dear.
Leaving me stranded and packed with fear.
An emptiness consumes my soul,
Yet an urge to write, to brand me whole,
To pour out my pain, my sorrow,
To find a glimmer of cheer for tomorrow.
My pen becomes my only friend,
As I strain to comprehend
The reasons behind the deceit,
The lies that brought me to defeat.
But in my words, I find a way,
To heal, to mend, carpe diem the day,
To rise above the welt and pain,
To find the light, to love again.
The valley of my heart may be scarred,
But with my pen, I can rebuild, discard
The darkness that once held me down,
And rise up, stronger, without a frown.
Stop resisting and start writing.
The pen is bleaker than the sword.
Each draw, each stroke, each sighting.
Unshackle the force of your words.
~~~~Whimsey vs. Angst ( or-
You Don't Have to Be Drunk But it Helps)~~~~
Words of whimsey from my pen flow,
while words of angst I bury below.
Which is me, you may never know
if it's only pieces I care to show.
Whimsey is as whimsey does.
So frivilous, happy thoughts buzz
around in my brain , as if it was
full of nothing but fluff and fuzz.
Writing of angst is not my thing.
Words of sadness, words that sting.
Whimsical words always bring
a happier mood, a fest, a fling.
So don't ask me for a sad, sad song.
It would definitely be wrong
to bore you with an epitome long
that saddens and depresses the throng.
Poetry of a happier time
flows in verses and in rhyme.
I'll pen you thoughts joyful and sublime
if you just pass the tequila and the lime.
When dusk strikes, the magic swirls,
In the grasp of dawn, a wispy heart twirls.
The shades waltz as a painter brush whirls,
In a vacuum night, dream faintly furls.
We whimsey we'd catch the rainbow past,
Ride the wind whispers in a peaceful blast.
Sail aboard ships of wonder over skies so vast,
Still, life's intricate yarn holds shadows cast.
With each glitter and moonbeam embrace,
Warm mutters soothe, eradicating the trace.
A crystalline elixir, hope unending grace,
In a chaotic world, I'll waltz amid the space.
So hear the moon croon, as the world feels right,
Through lilac and lavender, our hopes bear flight.
In the bittersweet dance of our love’s pure light,
We embrace the shades, and in time, we unite.
From periwinkle skies, where stars softly bite,
To obsidian hoops, in the gloom of the night.
The elixir of life offers sweet, gentle height,
And while sunrise glows, we dream in spite.
The crimson and green, in dawn’s golden light,
As hope drips from vials, crystalline and bright.
With each ebbing moment, pain feels contrite,
Yet dreams linger on, with a soft, tender bite.
So bless me, as the dawn’s light breaks,
With glimmers of hope that the dawn makes.
In every hue, from crimson to blue ice flakes,
A kaleidoscope of dreams, pure and slake.
From blue skies to lavender pillows,
I shall find my path home by shadows.
In this upholstery of wonderful bliss,
So bless me, bless me, with dawn kiss.
Incremental layers, experience, pile up
Like quilts upon a bed in cold winters;
They weigh upon me. I occupy
Myself inspecting, describing them --
Like a child does squares of patchwork.
These multilayered patterns amuse:
I imbue them with richness, with depth,
Depending on my mood, my whimsey --
While their reality no more resembles
My perceptions than printed scraps
Of fabric are like fields
full of fantastic figures.
An iridescent celestial being
Anarchic yet effervescent adolescent
Frolicking freely in the omnipresent forest,
Like a breeze through the leaves.
Barefoot & star gazing — native & trail blazing.
Like a clever, fearless fairy exploring the faraway night sky,
I am the fantastic bit of magic on an otherwise static planet.
Bewitched by wild wonderment;
Coloring my life with the chaos of pathos.
I am the captain of passion, & best little hippie
On the mountain — formed by a volcanic fountain
That caused a panic on our little oceanic planet.
Dancing in multidimensional secrecy,
Past an unattainable horizon
Is where you'll find me — on the Big Island in the sea.
It is a true treasures
With impeccable weather & such mystic characteristic,
It's almost unrealistic.
So forget your whimsey Hawaii five-O fantasy
Tear a hole right through the sky
Arise, & fly with me on a real odyssey
Across the mesmerizing island
Teeming with undreamed of creatures
& seemingly endless saffron sand beaches
few have ever been
up to the
Vermilion rainbow plateaus
& sacred volcano summits
Amidst cascading honey suckled waterfalls
& streams of splendiferous wildflower meadows.
We can indulge in thousands of hues of bloom
Or retreat, once more to the oasis at the shore,
To stand hand in hand before the prevailing trends
Of a turning world; scattering brightness in the dark
Fledge millennium into an unadulterated oblivion.
Enveloping what is suspend in time
with a colour compass configurations
The universe, nearly legible expresses herself
Writing constellational scribe
elucidating galaxy.
In a realm where love's illusion played its game,
A young and handsome man sought a heart to claim.
He danced on promises of love's sweet embrace.
Whispering vows of never-ending grace.
With gifts and dresses, he adorned his desire.
Her eyes sparkled with a flicker of fire.
He swore to stay faithful, never to stray.
But little did he agnize the price he'd pay.
Behind her beauty, a tempest did hide,
A tongue that lambasted with venomous slide.
Day and night, she nagged and demanded,
Turning their love into something so tainted.
He became a servant to her every whim,
He scrubbed floors and walls, his light growing dim.
She spent his arduous-earned coin with no remorse.
Leaving him with nothing but regret and coarse.
With each passing day, his heart grew heavy.
Longing for the love his whimsey was steady.
But trapped in a web of deception and lies,
He yearned for freedom; his spirit cries.
He dreamed of escape, of breaking his chains,
But the walls around him only caused him pain.
He wished he could turn back, undo the spell,
But the illusion he once believed had fell.
Regret filled his soul, a bitter taste in his mouth.
As he realized the truth of what love is about.
It wasn't the fancy gifts or sweet caresses.
But the genuine love that he had missed
The lesson he learned, though a painful one.
Was that love's illusion can come undone?
Beauty may captivate, but true love is kind.
And the bonds of deceit will leave you blind.
So beware, all young men who seek hearts to win,
Look beyond the surface, the charm, and grin.
For love is not found in material things,
But in the depth of a person's being.
Do not be fooled by beauty's deceit.
True love's foundation is strong and sweet.
Find someone who cherishes your soul.
Who will abide by you and drive you as a whole?
And remember, as you pass on your way,
Love is an option we earn each day.
So select wisely and let your heart guide,
In true love, there's no room for pride.
Learn from this tale, with its regretful end,
And may your love story never bend.
Remember, love is not just a passing trend.
It's a commitment, a journey, and a lifelong blend.
So cherish each moment, hold love close and tight,
And may your love story shine forever bright.
I really hate Pop stars
They are like incest siblings from mars
Sleeping around with everyone
Shaving their heads for fun
If your lucky they'll expose a teet
And expose pantiless pic's on a tweet
Watch out and be careful of the whimsey
For they all are procreated by Disney
Next thing ya know
They are marshmellow treats in your cereal bowl
Beware of the antique dolls
For endorsement deals will lead them to your mall
Who should stop this travesty in our homes?
It sure as hell ain't gonna be the man who changed his name 1000 times from combs
Where is this midget known as Justin Bieber?
Off with his head with a meat cleaver!
I could gone on with the pop culture life that is a bore
But what's that you say?.... it's time for Jersey Shore!
I hate to be so hypocritical and lame
But anything a hit on MTV, so them we can't blame
Some laws are crazy you will agree.
Read some of these laws and you will see.
Some laws are funny and some just absurd.
It pays to be careful how we use our words.
To keep your ass in a bathtub a fine must be paid.
In 1924 an Arizona law was was made.
Alabama law says if a fake mustache,
Causes laughter in church you'll fork over some cash.
In Alaska don't wake a bear for a picture.
If you live through the act to the state you're indentured.
In Arkansas don't mispronounce the word.
It insults them by gol and they'll give you the bird.
In Georgia when you go to market,
Don't put your ice cream in your back pocket.
In Indiana mustaches are quite illegal,
If the wearer has a tendency to kiss other people.
In Kansas if two trains meet upon the same track,
Neither shall proceed till the other has passed.
In Michigan a woman can't cut her hair,
Unless her husband says that he don't care.
In Minn. they've a law that's one for the rolls.
Cats can't chase dogs up telephone poles.
In New Jersey a man can't knit in the fishing season.
Guess he better give the cops a good reason.
In N. Carolina they'll make a big deal.
If you use an elephant to plow up your field.
Now my personal favorite, the last is the best.
This one really put me to the test.
In Vermont the establishment will give you grief,
Without hubby's permission to wear false teeth.
I wonder where people dream up such things,
Or what they smoked or ate to bring on such dreams.
Some of these laws sure gave me the wincies,
But I hope you enjoyed this wee bit of whimsey.
Beyond these ramparts lurks the mangy foe
Set to leave our red bodies in the snow.
The sultan of mayhem smirks and awaits
To grant harsh orders to decide our fates
With his swarming dragons outside our gates
And kill our love and peace that he hates.
Quarter will not be asked, and none given
For by bloodlust his jackals are driven.
Courage! We must fight for our wives and kids
Lest all our heads be stacked in pyramids.
Is our story to be scribed in dust
And whisked away by the whimsey of winds?
Yonder the sun will arise in glory.
Today that must also be our story!
Wistful and withdrawn, I wander through the night
Feeling grim and melancholy, a shroud of darkness tight
Depression grips my heart, its hold is strong and true
A gloomy cloud above me, my feelings all askew
I hanker for light and happiness, a break from this despair
But all I grasp around me is darkness everywhere
I strain to shake the sadness off, to find some peace of mind
But my views castle pulling me down, leaving me behind
So I walk on, lost in whimsey, seeking a way out
Hoping that tomorrow will fetch something to shout about
For now, I’ll hold on walking, through darkness and pain
Hoping that somehow, someway, I’ll find happiness again.
For some portentous events, unostentatious activity
Without the extra burden of strained, searing captivity.
Melt the frost from my winter-loving heart.
A mood storm fueled by the vibe of charm.
Petals under mistletoe promise by the blurt.
Winter's stillness engulfed me as a swarm.
A mood storm fueled by the vibe of charm.
In the rubble you left me in, there was a candle.
Winter's stillness engulfed me as a swarm.
A burst of hope faded while poised for a mantle.
In the rubble you left me in, there was a candle.
Flowers and inlay have stood as the year goes.
A burst of hope faded while poised for a mantle.
However, only God's eyes never tend to close.
Flowers and inlay have stood as the year goes.
Whimsey in the midnight, solace amid sorrow.
However, only God's eyes never tend to close.
Peace in the dusk, balm as my brows furrow.
Whimsey in the midnight, solace amid sorrow.
Petals under mistletoe promise by the blurt.
Peace in the dusk, balm as my brows furrow.
Melt the frost from my winter-loving heart.
"Spontaneity is childlike wonder, it is simplicity, abandon and
curiosity; but, it takes 'courage' to embrace the unexpected."
Quote by _Constance
I like to write free,
to just drift in whimsey and rhyme:
just brave me,
fancy free;
writing on a whim where I shine !
My words twirl and dance,
muse, and me in a childlike play:
happenstance,
we enhance;
and like magic words float and sway !
Winging it in peace,
I entwine in a trance serene:
to release,
what's beneath,
often muse takes me to fields green !
Disregarding rule,
in reckless abandon I write:
call me fool,
or jewel;
free my words soar into the light !
"Discarding narrow thought flow crutch
we learn directly by soft touch
and what we garner we relay
to the vast void in childlike play
entwined thus with the universe
we dance without need to rehearse"
Line of inquiry:
“to veil light we cloaked it in bliss
then intellect and lower mind
fused together as magnetism
in form where truth we seek to find”
***************
A lapidary epithet is thrown—
I shed the garment of the mirrors' gaze.
The adamantine echo mocking is known,
Where katabatic abyss may swallow maze.
A citrine pulse beats raw beneath the gown;
Phantosmia of forgotten rain is known—
On earth unopened, where the shadows drown,
By recognition, older than remembrance.
Where whimsey ceased its endless, dark harangue,
A single orchid lifts its silent throat—
Its sacrosanct sepals need no praise or clang,
As wisdom arrives, unargued and remote.
The hungry lower mind lays down its rod,
The higher mind drops waiting to be known.
Two rivers merge beneath a mighty God,
The hoary ouroboros yields its throne.
No longer self-devoured, a widening ring,
I drank transparency, not ecstasy—
Relieved at last from stained glass of the king,
The unhindered light breaks out—completely free.
It entered unoriginate, uncrowned,
Unannotated, asking to be seen.
No longer symbols, blossoms burst the ground—
The world’s own scripture, raw and epicene.
No grasping hand can hold the truth in place;
The fist that clutches only wears a glove.
The hand that opens finds a vacant space,
To hold the always-inviolate with love.
At the edge of shafts, you quested for calmness.
In a Utopia, we whimsey you survived a slash witness.
I swung the specific option to guzzle your unhappiness.
I wiped my knuckles to remove the pleasantness.
Weakness has instantly made my mouth swell across.
Such a blood clot, they plied to moan voiceless.
Supposing we're neutral with ourselves on sharpness.
Concepts might not have evolved this grotesqueness.
How can I be heedful, or may I eagerly shred my kindness?
Nothing would delight me further than to live harmless.
