Welcome to a brand new world
Verse 1
How are you feeling right now?
Is there still a yearning in your heart?
You're probably like, ten million or more,
praying for a brand new start
Verse 2
What happened to the world you imagined?
Where justice and peace ruled the day...
Is it merely a dream or wishful thinking,
a fantasy that leads you astray
Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
Welcome to a brand new world!
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!
Verse 3
God has shown us how to love
So why is true peace elusive?
Monsters and imposters hide who they are,
they send out doves with a Judas kiss
Verse 4
It's been about two thousand years now
Praying for God's kingdom to come
Now's not the time to lose patience or faith,
it's time for God's will to be done
Chorus
Welcome to a brand new world...
where evil men cannot be found
No reason to fear the nighttime,
a place where you feel safe and sound
Welcome to a brand new world!
This is not just a dream...it's reality,
joy in the heart of each boy and girl,
Welcome to a brand new world!
Welcome to a brand new world!

Welcome to the world of Worldly
where we feast all night.
All those things you once thought wrong -
here they all are right!
Worldly’s citizens are many.
Membership is free.
Criminals are here as well as
high society.
Come here and forget your sorrows
and forget your past.
Leave your ethics at the door too.
Here they will not last.
Come consume the fatted calf.
Imbibe cherry wine.
Love is a four letter word.
Lust, though, is divine!
Little boys and pretty girls
are also here to serve you
(if you lean that way, of course).
All things are on the menu!
Worship with us at the alter.
The sacrament for sin
is your blood lust or that rush
you get beneath your skin.
We have got a secret leader
with the gift of charm.
Succumb to him. We will relax you.
Let us prick your arm.
Our special members love green color
and they love their gold.
You might qualify one day. . .
Just do as you're told.
Finally, remember this.
In Worldly you will be
with peers who think and act like you
(should you need sympathy).
~TAKE MY MONEY ~
Crimson Joy, L'Oreal Lips, DOLCE & GABBANA eyewear
Mascara from beyond LONDON Bridges
Like the pretty face found in front of Vanity Fair
What can I say? Perfect -- goes with my daily addiction
A beautiful morning cup, STARBUCKS got my money
It's not more or less the cost or taste.
It's all about my dependency, with popular brand names
Shopping from place to place --- with a smile on my face
VICTORIA SECRET and the way she wears her bra.
$72 dollars it's time to double up them d's
Christmas Red and December Blue
Walmart can't pick up my bust the way she claims with trust.
Hot Topic's on my dark fashion list, Star Wars decor to explore
Obsessed with any accessory from the Walking Dead?
Bennie, blankets, epic shirts with gore, spending $200.00 more
Vulture is a man, with no hair, sat me down on his chair
"Try, this mam' a flat iron that works like MAGIC."
"Did you say magic?"
Didn't ask how much, once he commenced caressing my hair
Straight and silky like when I first bought the Evolution Wand
I tried to resist, however, I swear I heard the Iron call my name
This time, I promise to use it more than once
Between you and I - I don't even care to do my hair
Next thing you know, I own the Lioness curler iron too
With Expensive shampoo and conditioner.
What can I say, Buy 2 get the third one free
Finally, I felt - I got the best bargain possible
I won't even tell you how much I paid
You'd probably think, $189.00 is steep
How could I say no?
He threw in a heating glove, that's what I call Consumer Love.
Heading home, I spot Best Buy, needing a case for my iPhone 6 plus
Strolling near aisle 3, I hear Dr. Dre, started some new beats
Falling in love with the level of quality, $299.00 how can that be?
I put a pink pair in my basket, they have to be special and unique
After all, $299. Means they are popular :)
Bargains here bargains everywhere, check out time, I paid 550 dollars
I'm so proud of myself today, I saved and gained 101 points
Happy and dandy I feel complete,
I will end, my freestyling write
With uplifting words --- Aren't you lucky I'm not your WIFE???

WELCOME TO MY WORLD
TRUE STORY
clouds like sheep
grazing in the blue
scatter on the breeze
How marvelous was the first week of March in my state. The temperatures exceeded my hopeful expectations. If the old proverb is true, perhaps this month will go out with a lion’s roar, for I’m pretty sure it came in with the bleat of a lamb! Daylight Saving time also has arrived along with St. Patrick’s Day and the wearing of the green, and Easter and our Mother’s Day will follow. The day I most look forward to, however, is that day which turns my front yard into a bright fiesta. Right around the end of week one or two of April, my ornamental pear and plum trees always undergo their annual transformation.
pear tree’s white petals
pearlescent in the sun . . .
plum tree’s blush
Yes, each April it never fails to amaze me: nature’s orderly sequence of events which so beautifully welcome spring’s warmth. Birds whose nests are so well-hidden in each tree’s branches will decorate my yard with their flashes of color as they soar to the sky and then flit among the leaves of their new-found home. I enjoy catching glimpses of the swallows’ shiny dark wings and the red of the robin and of the occasional cardinal. Even more special are sudden glimpses of bluebirds and hummingbirds that I rarely get to see! These sightings so excite me!
lion or lamb -
spring turns me into
an April fool

through the open door
across my room sunlight spills. . . .
robin redbreast trills
the scent of blossoms
carried on April’s warm breeze. . . .
our first hummingbird
among red flowers
where my daughter twirls her skirt . . . .
a butterfly flits
in late afternoon
laughing in our garden spot. . . .
a bluebird singing
I seen the potential in you when they didn't, I knew what you were capable of, I envisioned you as a queen, helped you to realize your worth when you were blind to it and inclined your self esteem, complimented your beauty and motivated you to complete your goals, dreams to acknowledge your pain and did my best to not treat you the same as they had done, showed you the true definition of a gentleman, and let you witness a one of a kind love, I was there when no one else was, others would turn their back, not me, I never gave up, because I believed in you the most, I felt as if you were still trying to grow and be better even after all that you been through, so I never lost hope, a cheerleader, me, minus the skirt, It was all about you, I told you that time after time, but I must admit I'm proud of how far you've come and what you've accomplished, you won the race that many don't even attempt. The fear of failure gets the best of them, although now it seems as if I am no longer a part of your team, someone else is now the MVP, but you go girl you keep on going, I knew you could do it my support stops for nothing, and I appreciate the opportunity you have given me, peace, love and God bless... Oh, and thanks for leaving me behind!
Welcome to the Bijou
Sometimes the creepiest places are old.
There’s a smell to them of stale nicotine
and rancid oil.
The denizens are often as ancient
as the peeling wallpaper.
The plaster cracks mirror
the wrinkles on their faces,
stale faces with
down dropped corners.
Layer upon layer of age
ground in dirt flecked, peppered
perpendicular
boxes and scaffolding
sucked dry by time, tasteless;
their visual appeal long gone
to celluloid.
The walls don’t talk
and few ask the opinions
of the bone sacks
wandering in and out.
The untold and asked for stories
hide like ghosts, shimmering
in the ancient incandescent lights
liver spots on the skin,
fish hooks in the eye floating
suspended
and powerless like flies in amber.
There are those who have always been
mesmerized by age
absorbing filmed content
wallowers in times leftover scraps,
those who bring their own infusion.
They are the catalyst of forward motion
pendulum pushers, who spew curiosity
into the dark corners
for those who follow this path
there is beauty, most certainly,
in the crinkled planes.
Welcome , Dear Carolyn, we finally meet,
Please come in , won't you have a seat.
Let's sit on the deck and we'll watch the deer.
There's no need to whisper, they have no fear.
I'm so glad you're spending your vacation with me.
We'll get to know each other over this pot of tea.
I am so looking forward to showing off my home town.
Did you bring comfortable shoes for our running around?
Dear Carolyn, I know such good friends we'll be,
So just tell me 'everything' while I pour the tea.
for the Michael's "First words over coffee" contest
by Francine Roberts, about the wonderful Carolyn Devonshire, whom I would
absolutely love to meet
The winters gone and spring is here
Brighter days that bring us good cheer
Buds on trees now starting to show
The lawns are growing soon to mow.
Yellow daffodils' everywhere
Crocuses', snow drops here and there
New born lambs are a joy to see
Run about in fields playfully.
High in the trees the song birds sing
Fanfare for the arrival of spring
It is an uplifting time of year
So do embrace it whilst it's here .

For Spring is in the air contest
Sponsored by Emile Pinet.
Please come in dear Carolyn. I am thoroughly delighted.
Since I heard that you were coming I’ve been happily excited.
It was so kind of Michael to arrange that we should meet.
You’re exactly as I pictured you, both beautiful and sweet.
Let’s have coffee in my garden underneath the cloudless sky.
It’s April in my Northwest home. We’re so lucky it is dry.
The tulip tours have started, as has salmon fishing season.
The nearby Skagit holds the big ones, catching one’s not out of reason.
We’ll have our lunch and then start touring Skagit Valley tulip farms.
I want to show you quaint LaConner and explore all of it charms.

Welcoming Carolyn Devonshire in Michaels's "First Words Over Coffee" contest.
We missed you friend
Come see everyone
Come back and begin
Your journey done
Come tell the years
Of a world corrupt
Leave behind your fears
Your faith well put
The search make strong
Your belief has stood
God always along
He said he would
We welcome you
And all you have found
The one thing you know
Your faith still sound
Its here the thing we all fear,
The apocalypse is near,
The devils spurn has risen,
Trapping us in our homes like prisons,
To plague our planet already broken,
Is it retaliating, squeezing our lungs chocking,
Like the black death the plague upon our people,
Swooping, stealing the lives of the weak and feeble.
The most innocent are victims of the virus,
A sickening twist to this sickness sent to us,
From an unholy ghastly maker,
This is not the handy work of any saviour.
Is it a clense of the human race,
A government conspiracy for goodness sakes,
Bats are where it supposedly derives,
A rodent of the night skies,
Despite everyone's efforts its spreading like flies,
No loo roll paracetamol or thermoeter will scare it away,
It looks like it plans to stay,Just like an unwanted guest, Who's warn out its stay, so I'll guess I'll be the first to say
Welcome Corona virus to the UK.
When I met the tall and amiable Vietnam War veteran,
my shyness showed,
yet, my throat dried and tightened when he softly
spoke the words, "The war never goes away."
All these humanity destroying wars never cease,
soldier's names, faces, their eyes so well-worn.
Their love letters sent home never faded in their
immortality.
The soldiers who made it home alive weren't
given a hero's welcome.
Their nightmares flashing as they wake up
sweating in their sheets in the dark,
yelling for respite from still hearing and
being in the firefight, still seeing the VC,
and witnessing the life breaths leaving
mortally wounded brothers.
Descending into the night's loneliness,
the blue-gray of the t.v. on low volume,
the sobbing of a loyal wife.
Some marriages, families split apart
with crushing sadness,
many veterans homeless on U.S. streets,
such a heartbreaking shame shadowing
over the face of America the beauty.
Surviving veteran's hair becomes snow-white,
war wounds achingly arthritic,
memories of their war buddies still sweetly
preserved in their mind's images.
Vietnam War veteran's reunions as their
bones stiffen, but still salute their brothers
and sisters in arms,
their hats with the name of the war,
the pride of their service.
Many barely out of high school,
with brothers of the same town,
the same state,
so much youth called up,
joining brothers from other regions
of the U.S.
Blessed by God in their fraternity,
their bravery.
The deep red poppies represent their
precious blood.
I remember the 1960's-70's searing
scars in my mind,
weeping for the loss, the hurt in our
hearts over the Vietnam War.
MIA's, POW's,
disappeared as aging families still pray,
still wait.
In the local Veteran's Cemetery,
I met a woman in her eighties,
she was a little confused,
couldn't recall where her Vietnam veteran
son's grave was located.
She told me her daughter-in-law couldn't
bear to visit his grave.
We found his grave,
his name glistening in the dew of
that gentle May morning,
as wrens and sparrows sang on
blossomed boughs.
A chance encounter became such a
gift to honor her son,
and his mother.
To let her know he was not forgotten,
but cherished,
Welcome Home. ~

May your days be filled with happiness, joy and laughter
Always know I love you, a poem is what I’ll gift forever after
You’re in my heart and soul, as a child and as I mature then grow old
I cherish our memories, your motherly love, from sunrise to sunset
forever more
My mother’s eyes of ebony, sparkling stars
Carefully, she tints her lips gypsy red
A cascade of flowing ringlets, her hair shines from afar
Muscatels quaint yellow ribbons a lovely corona spread
Slipping on an elaborate Norteño style flared dress
Exquisite ruffles swirl and billow before her rapt audience
Instructor of folkloric dance, a god given talent unique no less
Her blithe unbounded spirit, free as a mariposa
Images of her forever I keep, radiant and hermosa
