Best Tt Poems
My name is Gary Fields
And I am at the Poetry Convention
Their are a myriad of Poet's
They are all in contention
There are so many that I may
Want to mention'
So, pay attention
Fore they must do this
In abstention
At my table there are three
Their are four including me
The second choice in my contention
IS Dr. Ram Mehta
He is such an easy catch
He is a voice/a reflection
He shares' so much love and affection
Being one of so few words
His disposition is the best
And his Human Psyche will
Never rest'
Could this be some sort of test
That his deepest guarded secret's
Are guarded close to his chest
Being a doctor and all
It is unlikely that he will ever confess
Third at the table is the X DESTROYER X POET
Due to the lack of word's
She always' have something for ya
And will certainly destroy ya
If not, then simply ignore ya
Fore she deserves' to seat here
And not just on the foyer
It is a main bone of contention
There is no reason why I can't enjoy ya
Or at least releave the tension
With her advanced degree
her suplituding pensoin for Poetry
It seems' that her messages' are
Aimed straight for me
She give's to this her all
She never seem to miss a call
And to past the test
One may think that
She seem's to be a little obsessed
Most of all
She keeps' her secret
Buried so close to her breast
And what wonderful breast they
Might be
Only saving for us
The one's she profess to be the best
But never the less
She rises' among the rest
Fouth at the table is Ms. Sweetheart of Poetry
Wish she will spend more Poetry with me
And plain not just ignore me
Because I'm a fan of her now
She introduced me to this race
She is all ways' on the case
She is fully comfortable in her space
I just hope that she won't have to use
All of her mace,
She composes' herself with grace
Fore this is so much an adventure
And not just some silly old Snail Race
If I haven't said enough by now
Then it is because I am running
Out of space, or being run out of town
But, there is always one next year
Same time, manybe not
The same old place

"Love is like a beautiful flower which I may not touch ,but whose fragrance makes the garden a place of delight just the same"
(Quote by: Helen Keller)
LOVE, what mystique power, it wields
What bumper dividends it yields
At times, IS LIKE an ache so coy to reveal
Or A BEAUTIFUL urge, hard to conceal
As brilliance to stars, fragrance to a FLOWER
Music to flute or shade to a bower
Love dwells and thrives in heart’s inner shrine
Connecting souls as by magic with a bond divine
Some times, we feel it as a deep sensation
Sprouting in us strong surges of emotion
WHICH enliven every atom of our being
Filtering down from top to bottom, nourishing and healing
I MAY sometimes ignore its fervent call
But will NOT undervalue its merits tall
Oh, Love! Thy virtues I will defend
Though seasons change and youth does end
Love is a magic talisman to TOUCH the heart
Filling the void, never leaving any dearth
It makes the mind go upbeat in prosody
Changing every sensation into a rhapsody
The red red Rose that emanates radiance
Surrounded by thorns, BUT WHOSE FRAGRANCE
Everyone inhales, MAKES THE GARDEN
A PLACE of perennial beauty as one OF Eden,
Love soothes and stills every ache of the heart
Filling it with DELIGHT, propitiating a new start
It is like the cool touch of spray in the horrid heat of noon
Or on a humid day, a splash with friends in the lagoon
Love sublime, JUST like a candle lit
Consumes itself, but keeps on giving light
It dispels THE gloom and cleanses the dirt
Invigorating the soul and healing every hurt
In ups and downs, love remains the SAME
Lighting the world with love should be our aim
It is on the axis of love that the world spins round
Tt is the panacea curing all the ills which surround!

Our sleepy little Island in the middle of the Irish Sea
Opens its eyes slowly for the Isle of Man TT
The Island bursts into life with bikers everywhere
You need to keep alert and take extra care
The Grandstand is buzzing with colour and noise
You have to admire the bravery of the biker boys
Tearing round the course at a million miles an hour
The machines that they ride have an awesome power
They line up on the grid; the adrenalin flows
The starter counts them down and then the rider goes
Tearing around the circuit at a tremendous pace
Trying to be the winner of the TT race
A dangerous sport racing can be
You don’t want to be a casualty
We cheer and shout when they cross the line
Then the Island goes back to sleep until the next TT time
~ This poem is to be featured in a book called 'Bringing it home' ~
Jan and Darren once met up in a local bar
Darren hoped his chat up lines would get him very far
Jan was not impressed and wouldn’t give him her address
His chat-up lines are dreadful I really must confess
Darren refuses to heed the warning
Would you like toast for breakfast in the morning
Honestly Jan things are not as bad as they seem
You've seen me before, I'm the man of your dreams.
Oh I know Darren and you’re so good looking
A devil in the bedroom and you also love cooking
But I prefer to have my eggs unfertilised
Don’t look at me like that with your big brown eyes
I can see myself in your beautiful green eyes
I do horoscopes, Aha you found that a surprise
What the stars are telling me there is no disguising
When you sit on my lap, That's not Jupiter rising
Oh be careful Mr Watston! Will you behave!
If I sit on your lap I'll be in an early grave
You've always known I'm happily married
But in your dreams your thoughts can be carried
You forget I know your husband Bob
He's taking me to the TT if I do a good job
I'm to flirt and joke and laugh and tease
Until you beg for mercy and say pretty please
Oh Darren Watson you’re a terrible flirt
You eye up anyone in a mini skirt
And as for tightly fitted jeans
These things I guess you see in your dreams
I admit I've got a roving eye
I know you're into swinging so thought I'd try
Yes I know Bob will love you forever
But he promised us guys must stick together.
Your chat up lines are wearing thin
I’m not really after a night of sin
We truly are the best of friends
I hope our collaboration never ends
Ending our collaboration never entered my head
In the poems we write I can get you in bed
You are beautiful, sassy and have a great sense of fun
With wonderful legs and a fabulous bum.

I feel so proud when I see our national flag raised
and sing our Anthem ‘Oh land of our birth’
This island is not the place where I was born
but there’s no place on earth I’d rather be
with mountains and hills, a patchwork of fields
and the ocean which caresses our shores
I love eating Manx kippers, see cats with no tails
view the famous TT races, and ride horse trams on rails
We do not bow down to ’the Adjacent Isle’
that’s how England is known to the Manx
Our Tynwald parliament's made laws for over 600 years
Elizabeth’s our Sovereign and long may she reign
I’m not Manx but the Island’s my forever home
and my final resting place overlooks the blue sea

The name of this poem is "…" So the first line is shown.
The system would not let me put that in the title box. Sew, so...
...
Hear and now, know here and now, no! No!
It is all wrong, “aint” that a fact?
No. Really… no.
Aint, paint, saint, I feel faint.
! Yes. Use that one. ! Use it again!!! (! Symbol and then…)
How about a ? ? (? Symbol for question and then ? for punctuation correct)
That is odd. Let us not discuss txting. (texting, xing, dead when driving)
Small “c”, big “C”, capitalized.
What about the rest of the letters?
Are numbers okay to use, if I forget how to spell, to, two, too much?
Paints in the box. The letters the shapes the textures of life.
Smell them. Take them in with every wiff, whiff? (Onomatopoeia, can you sing that?)
Double “dd”, double “tt”, double “oo”, wrong word score.
Spear, fear, mear, mere, “find the thesaurus”.
Have you ever spent time reading one?
You should.
The dictionary was badly burned in 1963.
No one nose, no's, knows who set the fire…
We did not land on the moon.
It was a sad day, but our people came home.
Safe.
The world moved on…
Remember when they gave spelling tests?
Three times each and every word, every line, get one wrong then do nine!
Are you still wondering the name of this poem? (...)
Laughter is the best place to begin looking at ourselves.
Mixed paint in a tray. Pencils, pens, art in words…Free Speech!
Hold on to your flag...
We, all of us… build sentences,
erect paragraphs and dream up skyscraper stories.
We swirl and whirl words around until they fit together,
The effort to find the perfect match.
The ultimate combination of acceptance and understanding.
Authors don’t get to stand and sing on stage, we must be quiet.
Storytellers rarely receive the time they need to fix the uncertain details.
Maps are lost, tiny jewels fall between the cracks,
but swiftly pens capture, miracles and even an epiphany.
Patient warriors, working for no one on earth,
fixed on collecting nothing more
than the truth.

Travel on our steam railway and step back in time
Historic village at Cregneash it really is divine
Enjoy traditional Manx seafood the ’Queenies’ are sublime
Irish Sea surrounds us with its beautiful coastal paths and craggy cliffs
Sandy beaches see sunbathers and swimmers in the sunshine
‘Lady Isabella’ Laxey’s waterwheel leaves you breathless by its size
Endless rolling green hills and wide-open spaces, it’s a walker’s paradise
Open roads to drive on with no speed limits in places
Fly here or sail and escape to our far-flung shores
Motorcycles whiz around the famous TT course
Amazing scenery delights with breathtaking views
Nowhere on earth I would rather live
Come and visit my homeland by the sea
Lets meet up soon and have a cup of tea

In our late teens down at the pub
we talked of things we liked.
Rock 'n roll,brunettes and blondes,
Mustangs and Norton Bikes.
Time's moved on and things have changed
and all of this has led
to talk of laying paving slabs and weatherproofing sheds.
Instead of worshipping our favourite bands
like Slade, Led Zep and Bolan
I now find that I hold a torch for the eldest of the Nolans.
Greasy skin and acne were the only things to blight us
long since replaced by varicose veins and rheumatoid arthritis.
The book of life we all must learn has reached the centre page
the staples coldly telling us that we've now reached middle age.
Still, if life is but a long hard race, the TT if you like,
I'm thankful I'm still in it and I ain't come off me bike.

the substance has a solid state, ice,

with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers
and 0.001% in the air as vapor,

glaciers and polar ice caps 2.4%,
and other land surface water such as rivers and lakes 0.6%.
Water moves continually
Water moves continually through a cycle of evaporation or transpiration,

Water moves continually over land
Winds carry water vapor over land

Over land, evaporation and transpiration
contribute another 71 Tt per year to the precipitation
of 107 Tt per year over land.

The ‘Monster Energy’ girls are here at the TT races
Oh boy! You should see their curves and pretty faces
Standing at the start line with a black umbrella in their hand
They are sure catch your attention at the TT Grandstand
Wearing little skirts, which ALMOST cover their perfect tiny tush
They flutter their eyelashes, the men’s hearts turn to mush
With short crop tops straining to contain their chest
And spray tanned skin - they want to look their best
Men stand their ogling with their tongues hanging out
If their wives or partners catch them they will get a clout!

The storm clouds roared and waves below grew violent. Death had flown to town with a powerful vengance. People gathered to pray on the grounds of the church by the sea....
The cliff has erroded and the church sits precariously above. Years and storms have
taken its toll on the cliff revealing stark danger. Fears of mudslides
and collapsing stones by the forces of nature...Made the
town folk relocate five miles inland to sound footing
Leaving the cliff church abandoned and perched
awaiting its certain destruction. Three
generations have come and gone yet
alone on its perch it waits... ` ;`

Sara played basketball in squad ParalympicsGB,
At Euros, at Worlds and at Commonwealth Games,
In Manchester and in Melbourne, and had TT victory,
At the Paralympics in London with her team-mate.
Her boyfriend introduced her to table tennis nifty,
And she’s a paralytic, from a virus at the age of 15,
“Meeting people in the same situation as [myself]
was a real eye-opener…it opened up my life again.“
In 2013 Sara and Jane Campbell took the gold,
In the team event class 1-3 in Bayreuth, Germany,
And then she won bronze for herself in the singles,
To ride right onto 2 bronzes in Slovenia, Slovakia.
Illness and surgery were then her disappointing lot,
But she returned in the Lignano Master Open 2016,
To win a fine silver for the team. In Rio, the quarters,
For both singles and team matches. Born 12/04/1990.
