WOW Ivo I am impressed you know the Manx for our lovely Island - my son was the only one in his year to study GCSE Manx but we have never heard him speak it. Have you ever visited the Isle of Man - am fascinated now! Hugs Jan xx

Its very beautiful - the only thing that lets us down is the British weather and it can be incredibly windy here but that just makes the sea even more tempestuous and wild - its stunning in a storm! Hugs Jan x

Thank you for your Acrostic tour Jan. I guess there must be similarity in the Manx scenery to my part of the North of Ireland a little village where I was born still is regarded as home to me even though I am across the pond near Cambridge. Well crafted poem. Andy

Went home on holiday a few years ago and as I drove to a cross roads just outside Limavady I looked up at the steep banks with the gorse in bloom and the tears just welled up and rolled down my cheeks. So much beauty to be seen around us. Thank you Jan Andy

Thanks for the lovely feedback Andy. I don't think we appreciate the beauty we have on our doorstep and take it for granted. My drive home from work takes me to the crest of a hill with the sea the reward when you crest the other side - never ceases to make me catch my breath and think YES I love it here. Hugs Jan x

I truly enjoyed this Acrostic poem Jan. :)One day I will have to visit the Isle of Man; my wife keeps on about it....wanting to go back to her roots. She's from England (derived from London/Whitehaven) but her ggfather (John Kegg) was from the Isle of Man, Douglas // thanks for the trip around :) // cu /x/ paul

It would be a pleasure to meet; hope your trip won't hit any more hitches! [yes, Malta's population is big when compared to the size of the island; also we have too much traffic!!] cu :) paul

That would be lovely Paul - it's a beautiful place - as is Malta - small but perfectly formed - you have such a dense population in comparison - your harbour in Valletta makes ours in Douglas look like a fishing village! Will have to see if we can all meet up if our flight to Malta isn't cancelled again - was due to go in April now its October I hope :-) Hugs Jan x

Wow Richard - have just googled 'The Island of Women' now if you could transport the sunshine here it would be paradise... but sadly we will just have to suffer with the English weather. Hugs Jan x

So we have an Island of Men and an Island of Women oh my days lol. It's not a place to come if you like the high life - its very quiet - 85,000 population except at TT when we get around 40,000 bikers over - I am able to access the TT Grandstand and watch from the top of the tower - a unique experience believe me. Hugs Jan x

Its a tiny Island 32 miles by 15 with a population of 85,000. We moved here in 1996 - couldn't go back to the UK to live now. It has its drawbacks of course but no where else i would like to live. Hugs Tim - hope you are still cultivating the grey hair lol. Hugs Jan xxx
