Premium Member Trying To Grasp the Magnificent

I sense the fullness
in fleeting moments
At those rare times
I'm able to let go of me
The ebbs and flows
of non linear thinking
when I am part of the everything
I was born to be

For within the simple
Magnificence is grasped
The beginning precedes an ending
that in the future will be passed
Over and under
all the spaces in between
If we look only with our eyes
the answers won't be seen

Quiet is not time wasted
each moment we have has been lent
Some things don't require saying
Through actions we learn what is meant
Feel the power of pausing
Within a moment thoughts can crystallize
By choosing to listen with intention
We learn the wheres and whys

Observations is much more important
then any of my (me)s or (I)s
I often get lost within my own talking
and hold onto my wordy lies
When I use a different kind of perspective
I hear the whispering of the Wise
Floating upon eternal verses
as within my being they steadily rise

Viewing the mosaic of all creation
The wonder of how all things interconnect
the order of God's magnificence
creates inner peace and Holy respect
My thoughts are no longer singular
Like droplets of water ideas collect
The things in life most important
I see things I didn't expect
For no person is truly independent
Through God's grace we draw every breath
Here within this total miracle
I've witnessed God's width and His depth!

I believe our souls recognize our creator when we are in tune with God's Creation.

Trying To Sleep

I am trying to sleep here; can someone let the world know?

Somewhere the pressure cooker whistles,
Rises in the night air, the smell of pulao rice.

The peddler selling eggs on his final tour,
The ringing of his cycle bell and paddle distinctly heard,
Elsewhere a cat mews, finding a safe spot to rest,
Or mayhap from hunger, I shall know never,
Dogs bark at a ragged man pacing fast,
His sole hanging slippers chatter away against tar,
As he glances at the canines from the corner of his eye.

A weak twig falls off the peepal tree nearby,
On the asbestos, creating a cracking noise,
Unendearing to his ears, the toddler wails,
A rickshaw shifts gears, as I shift sides
The sound of acceleration arrives at my eardrums,
A pillow atop my ears I rest,
An attempt feeble in decibel-arrest,
I am trying to sleep here; can someone let the world know?

I sense the creator is perhaps
The conduit in this conspiracy,
A gentle wind blows,
A pair of unshut windows rattle,
A metal latch dangling beats out-of-rhythm,
The jamun trees rustle, sounding
Like sand falling on tin-sheet,
The sound of roaring cheers
From a cricket match on TV otherwhere,
Triggering the flow of my curse on technology,
At the apartment gate,
A bunch of teens giggle away,
To a cunning joke or a murder mystery,
I wonder in utter dismay.

A medley of noises, of all kinds and creed,
Can someone let the world know, I am desperately trying to sleep.

While Trying To Be

Need I my dear son
Show you the light of sun
Or teach you how to croon
Under a half or a full moon..
You seem to learn and know
As you live, bond and grow
How to successful be
While trying to be..

Should I my dear son
Tell you how to be the one
Or for you life recipes prepare
And dare hamper your very flair..
You seem to learn how to right a wrong
And know how to compose a better song
How to responsible be
While trying to be..

Could I my dear son
Recite what should be done
For you many a path pave
Deny your right to seek what you crave..
But you seem to know as you learn
The wealth of Life how to earn
How to stand all that is harsh and rough
Craft your art from scratch and stay tough.

Trying Something New

Trying something new , If you think you see something or someone you recognise .
It is purely coincidental.

I met a romantic queen
and made love to her in a dream
Her mum said . Put him down
Drive him out of town
You've no idea where he's been .

I have a friend named A.D.
I adore all of her poetry
Her writing puts me to shame
but when she mentions my name
I feel like she's flirting with me.

A beautiful lady named Nette
Said she wouldn't be kissed for a bet
but a gentleman I aint
If I kissed her she'd faint
and she'd be forever in my debt.

Our very good friend Tim
Swore a beautiful woman was stalking him
but since he's been missing
He's discovered French kissing
Now our chances of finding him are slim.

I know a young lady named SKAT
When she makes love, She purrs like a cat
She is such a cute kitten
I admit I am smitten
and I wouldn't mind hearing that.

We have a beautiful friend named F.J.
I asked what she knew about kissing one day
I could tell from her wink
She knows more than we think
and a lot more than she's willing to say.

LOL
I'll work on it.

Premium Member Is Percy Trying To Pull the Wool Over Our Eyes

Percy pig was feeling quite shaken -
He'd heard pigs were slaughtered for bacon
Turning white as a sheet
He then started to bleat
As a sheep could he be mistaken!

Premium Member Trying To Reach Perfection

You try...and try...then try some more,
trying to obtain that perfect score.

A perfect spouse...
     a perfect house...
why you even have the perfect mouse.

You try and wear the perfect clothes.
You even tried to buy a perfect hose.

The more you try and obtain perfection,
the more you go in the opposite direction.

To try and be perfect will drive you mad...
and when you fall short it will make you sad.

So do your best with what you've got...
and don't worry about being who your not.

Just Trying...

So here’s the deal:
I’m completely pissed off, but not really-
Really I’m heartbroken and just trying to breathe through the ache in my chest,
But that really has nothing to do with what’s going on does it.
This is ridiculous. I hate it. It’s not something I can just fix.
If I could make him forget just by kissing him stupid I would.
However, this is a bit too raw for that.
It’s like when your fave song comes on and you’re voice begins to break near the end
 because you’re holding back tears.
Nothing really detracts from that feeling of complete abandon. That’s true for love on both
ends.
Passion when you’re together, battering desperate aching when you’re not.

Now, I enjoy pain. I enjoy the sharp, sweet edge.
I don’t enjoy this mind numbing pounding. Like my body is being pulled inside out.
There is no tearing, no ripping, no cutting, no sharp. Just dull, stretching emptiness.
There is no joy in that.
Only the true masochist in me finds something in this.
I don’t like dwelling on that part of me.
I’d rather be sharp. Like when you’re cut by a knife so sharp that it takes a minute for your
body to register it as pain.
Sharp. Sweet. Sinfully simple.
Love.

This isn’t what I signed up for. But then, what is?
I love you.
That doesn’t really matter.
Does it.

Trying To Sleep

The light from the window
danced on the wall
Projecting the branches of the tree outside
Like a painting in the dark.
My melatonin wasnt working
So I watched the light
And I thought about
California, and Idaho,
And Italy, and Egypt
Until I finally fell asleep

Premium Member Still Trying To Write a Poem

To write in a way so it comes across
With meter and rhyme so nothing is lost
Sounds easy to most but Oh pray tell
Like adding cadence and metaphor well

But I'm no expert so I seldom comment
I mostly enjoy reading without lament
A finely crafted poem, a life of its own
Effects me deeply, gets me in the zone

Though I will admit I'm just an old softy
Most that I've read did touch me subtly
Since I was a young man with pen in his hand
Tried to mimic the greats and think I was grand

As the years rolled on I could see the truth
I was just a fool who quietly seemed aloof
Remembering the world how it used to be
In a simpler time when Bards roamed free

As something came from nothing we surmise
I lived my life with all that it truly implies
In the spirit of good fortune, I write in my rhymes
And try to incorporate the feelings and times

Purple, polka-dot flamingos and buzzards
frolic near the sleeping volcano lake. It
wakes and rumbles, crumbling the Haunted Mansion!

Trying Times

Trying Times

Can I maintain this life
Without begging Christ
To save me
From the life he gave me
Can I walk to the plot
To where lays my father death spot
And stand over his grave
His life is with me acknowledgement
I’m is daughter but I wasn’t with him his last dying days
Tears seem to not fall from my eyes
Because I know emotion will not grow him back
And the last words that utter from my mouth will be with me until the day that I’m
dead they are now un-depart able bitter words that has now been said

They say Gods give you nothing you can’t bare
Trying time he’s given me trying times is in me

I dream of some better days
As a young child proven educate with good grades
Wanted to be a woman at a young age
Started working on my life
Tried to blackout every thing in my life that went wrong
Even as a minor I promise god that all my struggling was going to make me
strong
But lost in the mine set that I had no one to carry with me
Turn my back on the people that had given me life
Told them I didn’t need them so forget their advice
I broke them down to the same feeling that rooted bitterness
Spoke for me took hostage over my pride
But each heart beat I wanted I wanted them to reach for me because all I wanted
was to be their child

They say Gods give you nothing you can’t bare
Trying times he’s given me trying times is in me

Fast I was moving
Tried I was getting
Still I wasn’t not going to stop
Because I will never give up
I instill in myself as long as I don’t misused my body and educate my mine
There was nothing that could harm me Nothing
Suddenly everything that I was reaching for turn around and ran from me
And for the first time in my life I wanted good to save me
I barely stop myself from falling to my knees begging him to free me
For now I could see
My daddy deceased
My mother sickly
And soon I will be a woman
For I will be no ones child
I feel as if I’m not ready

They say Gods give you nothing you cant bare
Trying time he’s given me trying times is in me

Trees trying to find the King to rule over them

??Judges 9:8-15 KJVAAE??
[8] The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us. [9] But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honor God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees? [10] And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us. [11] But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees? [12] Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us. [13] And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees? [14] Then said all the trees unto the bramble, Come thou, and reign over us. [15] And the bramble said unto the trees, If in truth ye anoint me king over you, then come and put your trust in my shadow; and if not, let fire come out of the bramble, and devour the cedars of Lebanon.

Trying To Hold On

Lying still
Sans motion
Clouded sky
Heavy emotion
Starless Night
Painful separation
Trying to hold on

Stagnant life
She has moved on
Precious memories
Everyday delusion
Burning flame
Blinded vision
Trying to hold on

I took a moment and penned this song
I have been waiting to say it for a long
I am trying to hold on

Yes, I am weak
Never was strong
Just wanted to be with you all my life long
I am trying to hold on

Premium Member Trying Something New

A baby elephant arrived at my door,
I invited her in; having guests I adore.
Clutched in her trunk was a purple petunia,
I stifled a giggle; she looked very peculiar!

Swinging her trunk, she request some lunch,
I said “I don’t have much for you to munch”
Still, I ventured into my diminutive kitchen,
engrossed on an elephant feeding mission.

Sadly all my kitchen cupboards were bare,
and I couldn’t locate any jumbo sized fare.
Talullah then proffered six cans of tuna fish,
I found this bizarre, it was quite ludicrous!

She produced ten packs of dried spaghetti,
it appears small elephants are ever ready!
I cooked the spaghetti, piled it up in a dish,
she gobbled the lot and declared it delish!

Talullah requested if she could use the john,
and plodded to the toilet with great aplomb.
I hate to sound mean but she wasn’t petite
her bum wrecked my toilet and split the seat!
