Angel in the Clouds
Sometimes you look up to the sky
And maybe you can find
In a large bank of clouds
The face and figure of an angel with wings
Who’s looking down on you.
It may be someone
You knew from the past
Who went to Heaven a long time ago.
And maybe that angel appears here now for you
Just to say “Hello”
And to make this moment very special.
You feel an enchantment in your heart
And sense a soft tingling on your cheek . . .
As if a kiss was placed there by this angel
With an encouraging touch on your shoulder
Giving you a wondrously warm feeling inside.
With this magical moment as you’re touched
By this angel . . .
You realize this angel loves you very much
And just came by to look after you
And to send you a joyous blessing
Right from Heaven—personally to you!
Amen.

Trespassing moonlight--
I envy its touch on you
and light a candle,
let the moon watch from the sky
thousand moons' birth in our love

My cherished one..
What difference does it make
If We are or if We're not belongers?
If I'll never see the moon in your eyes
Taste the stars from your lips
Feel your touch on my hair
and your breath upon my skin.
What difference does it make
When we know, our quiet thoughts lay side by side
When wherever I am
Its your warmth that descends softly in me.
My first dawning moments are always filled with you,
and so are the moments before I close my eyes
in the stillness of my room.
My cherished one,I think..
And when I think,I think only of you
And when I see,I see only you,
Wandering by in sun-dappled fields
Wrapping my heart,solacing my soul
Veiling the breeze, lost in my dreams.
Inspired by an Italian song called 'Grande Amore',by the group 'Il Volo.
The sound of rain falling on your roof,
feeling raindrops on your flesh...ineffable--
The tightness of a hug from one you have
not seen for a very long time...ineffable--
Laughter of young children playing, yours
or not, doesn't matter...ineffable--
The way a sunrise gives you hope, and a
sunset presages a peaceful death...ineffable--
The touch on your neck by your beloved,
the quiet sharing of doing nothing...ineffable--
The awakening from a dream full of wonders,
the sense you were in another world...ineffable--
The moment of joining with another human being,
the strange mixture of joy and sadness...ineffable--
Beholding a tree in full bloom, its myriad leaves
turning in the wind, whispering life...ineffable--
The quiet, secret, almost desperate longing
for transcendence, for God... ineffable....
November Kisses
November kisses arrive in the sunset
Lips ever sweet flutter soft on my skin
Lost in the sigh of a ending day whisper
Sharing a moment about to begin
There in your eyes is my first glimpse of heaven
Calling me into the depths of your soul
Fueling the fire of an unending passion
Sending affection beyond all control
You in my arms shines a moonbeam encounter
Shadows at play as we stroll through the trees
Stopping a while under star shimmered visions
Cool the caress of the chilled autumn breeze
Here all alone ‘neath the branches a’ swaying
Longing your touch on a night just like this
Floating on echoes of heartbeat affections
Patiently waiting your November kiss
Good night Soupers
Wind Song
Winter winds whoosh over the wilderness
In wild waltzes that warn of wanton storms.
On zephyr’s wings spring floats through soft breezes
Soft touch on tender petals
Feels like silk on bare skin.
Happy whirlwinds swish through summer skies
Tickles the face of waves in sheer delight
Laughs with puffy clouds in summer’s malaise
Rises with crimson dawns then stargazes
fall winds breathe brisk breaths
turns the morning mist to frost ~
draughts foretell chinooks

In every sense I smell his love
When the pure-scented moonlight bathes my window
Reflecting its tresses inside and the night-breeze
Spills a bouquet exploding of wonderful colors
Of evocations to mind which stroke perfumed
Warm touch on my glowing skin courted
By lavender whispers of memory… hmm…there
In every sense I smell his love.
In the spring, I'm a Daffodill
In many hues, dancing on the hill
Swaying with the gentle breeze
In the spring I'm easy to please
In late spring, I'm pale pink rose
Growing on the trellis, inviting bees toes
To touch on me, drink their fill of nectar
Sweet, in late spring I'm real neat
In early summer, I'm Buddleia
When Butterflies come, Cassiopeiae
Is so jealous of the attention
As they touch and tickle my extensions
Later on I become Great Yellow Gentian
At this time I'm in another dimension
Waiting the time in the fall when I've lived all
Then I become the great Sunflower in the fall
When winter arrives, I'm barely now alive
This is when Camellia makes her debut
She is really now more alive leaves glisten
They've a glossy waxy shin and the blooms pristine

Blue evening dress
Topographical cleavage
Nurturing mother
Father Sky reigns high
Soft touch on her horizon
Her head covered with
A wintery Arctic scarf
With white pumps to match
He caresses her
His radiant passion flames
Heating up her womb
Encompassing her with love
Warm and cold climatic touch
His breath cools her skin
Tenderly moistening earth
Life springs from within
Blackberry Memoir
Blackberries, round and glossy,
Always invite me to return
To dusty country summer afternoons
When languid waves of mirages
Puddle into shimmering hiatus.
From the gently swaying hammock
I hear the rattle of berry pails
To see my grandmother, in her straw hat,
Smile an invitation - come with her
Into the wild blackberry patch.
Like garter snakes that hide in the thorny brambles
Tangled canes slither across the sandy path
No perfect rows only prickly trailing briars
That soar from the heart of the thicket
In arching limbs to touch on summer skies.
Like raven tresses the blackberry fruit glistens -
Capturing sweetness from the glowing sun -
Purple stained fingers release the ripeness
Then hear it plunk in the berry bucket -
Delicious as raindrops in a summer storm.
Warm evening settles in contented sighs
Watching moonlight creep through tangled vines
When juicy blackberry pie warm from the oven
Arrives on clear plates with salivating praise
Topped with ice cream dripping down the sides.
When autumn strips the jumbled canes
To lie barren beneath the winter sun
My grandmother’s blackberry jam journeys
In reveries of summer days to come
When simple berry picking untangles life.

There I stood in this massive hall, decorated with sophisticated settings,
White flowing drapes hung freely from an invisible ceiling
Twinkling stars, sparkled against the midnight blue sky
Though I could not see it, an orchestra played a lovely, unfamiliar tune
Well-dressed, others sat leisurely at circular tables covered in white draping linen
Adorned with colorful centerpieces and white candles in delicate crystal holders
Quite puzzled, I made my way toward the center of the room
I searched for familiar faces in the crowd to no avail
My dress, simple, yet elegant was of the brightest blue
Then out of nowhere this handsome, young man appeared and took my hand in his
As if on queue, the music stopped. Strangely the color of his suit matched mine
Unafraid, I stared into the stranger’s face, as the most beautiful melody played
As we danced, we seemed to be floating before the crowd of smiling faces
The music played on endlessly, as I danced in the stranger’s arms
His leading was perfect, not a word passed between us, but gentle smiles expressed the joy
Lost in wonder, feeling incredibly elated, I wished we would dance forever
In an instant I felt a light touch on my face, and I turned away to see
And to my surprise, there stood my little girl, saying, “Mommy, wake up, I’ll be late for
school!
Note: True story- A dream I had some years ago and which I will never forget!! I have no
idea what that meant,..but who cares. It was one of the best dreams I ever had! One of
those dreams you hate to be awaken from. .
Non-essential! It takes time to
digest the public offense, bruising the poetic ego
essential only to itself, as broad as the world.
Howling winds, dark clouds, ghost cities,
horizons overbreaming with despair, the low
widespreading doubt and the high feverish days
filled with progressive red dots on world map, the
incalculable pain, spirit out of sight, from my home
so far away from and yet so close to work, I run
hope's high tide hour, caught on its windblown antenna, its gentle touch on my parched lips, manifesting in form God's grace like raindrops on
windows' pane, a poet's disease of tides, insisting
on poetry's essential nourishment of the soul, with lion's pride, uplifting earth's exhausted staff not knowing who'll feed the hungry and the birds – poets
decree their own confinement to rules of beauty, unhinged freedom,
requiring no appeal.
Having collaborated, o with just a few
Poetry Soup members,i`ll always give them due
for their kind comments and others even more
one person inparticular, Old Jack, he hits the core.
He is funny without realising,he does so make me giggle
the picture i have of him,a tyre round his middle
over six feet tall, with ginger hair, like a true Jock
stubbon as hell, very proud, and sometimes likes to mock.
His poems very frequently, touch on all that`s kind
his politeness and charm, sure that`s why the ladies find
a caring correspondant,or maybe a walk in the park
my opinion on this gent, is way above the dark.
DEATH OF A MOSQUITO
Kind of a party, a get-together for friends,
Free wheeling, snacking here and there -
You know how it goes.
Warm afternoon - moist - ideal weather:
Some of the guys had already dropped in,
More had said they were coming
Just before the rain;
There was a real buzz in the air
In the crowded kitchen.
She was a pretty woman, gentle-faced, quiet.
I had been after her all afternoon -
A touch on her arm, a nibble of her neck -
Seems I went too far - you know.
A rolled-up newspaper appeared in her hand.
It came down on my head.
The whack of the smack
Was the last thing I heard.
