Wind Song

Wind Song Winter winds whoosh over the wilderness In wild waltzes that warn of wanton storms. On zephyr’s wings spring floats through soft breezes Soft touch on tender petals Feels like silk on bare skin. Happy whirlwinds swish through summer skies Tickles the face of waves in sheer delight Laughs with puffy clouds in summer’s malaise Rises with crimson dawns then stargazes fall winds breathe brisk breaths turns the morning mist to frost ~ draughts foretell chinooks 5-3-22 Contest: Brian Strand Premiere Sponsor: Brian Strand

Whenever I see a Sam poem title with the word "Song" in it, I know it's going to be a good day! Thank you John! Knowing that this "musetry" brought you joy in words and song is a great blessing and makes my heart do a little Snoopy suppertime dance! I loved this combination of poetic forms. It seemed to open a new spring of creativity - refreshing as spring rain itself! And, yes, the winds in each season do seem to have their own personality - strong, joyful, playful and giddy - and function. I love that we share the musetry of song!
