I Think Only of You

My cherished one.. What difference does it make If We are or if We're not belongers? If I'll never see the moon in your eyes Taste the stars from your lips Feel your touch on my hair and your breath upon my skin. What difference does it make When we know, our quiet thoughts lay side by side When wherever I am Its your warmth that descends softly in me. My first dawning moments are always filled with you, and so are the moments before I close my eyes in the stillness of my room. My cherished one,I think.. And when I think,I think only of you And when I see,I see only you, Wandering by in sun-dappled fields Wrapping my heart, solacing my soul Veiling the breeze, lost in my dreams.
Inspired by an Italian song called 'Grande Amore',by the group 'Il Volo.

"What difference does it make if we are or we're not belongers?" I love that line for some reason. As long they are in love it doesn't really matter does it? A world for two. Or three

How else would I imagine loving a woman? These are the first moments she let me touch her. My heart is calm as i caress and hold. The joy I feel as we both enfold.

Jealous of my poetic words, That can soar across the sea, Words that melt your heart, Oh how I wish that it was me. Lines that light you up, You read and long for more, They easily come and go, Yet I'm locked outside the door. Words that touch your soul, What I'd give to feel your hair, Tonight my lyric shared your bed, As for me.. I'll never be there!

So lovely, Charmaine. My favourite is "veiling the breeze." I can feel that. I also noted the cool beginnings of the last two lines, the echo of Wwww wwww and by/my. Enjoyed the read! Cheers
