Sunrise celebrates dawn's exquisite amethyst flush
 Mauve melding into magenta's fuschia blush;
Sunup razzle dazzle watchman - copper rooster - rises
Signals first light hues in shades of coral-pink surprises

PARALLEL AUTUMN SURPRISES

A ferris wheel of no return, she stood with rosy cheeks so fair; both day and night just wide rocky bridges of light and dark. All she needed was bulb of fresh start.. Three months pass after the love explosion happened, her pillar of strength taken for independence sake. Only candles of hope she has; slowly, slowly losing its glow. Her eyes were a train flood of crystal tears. Her heart jailed from loss but needed to be freed for the sake of a budding life. She opens her door day by day beaming a sunshine in her face. Her chest-buds bloom so graceful. Her tummy grows a robust breathing sphere. Parallel autumn surprises bring her to a sandwich salad showcase. A year passed, in a fragrant natural lair with the light bowing down on them, she planted a kiss on her baby's lips.

Hush... to ... rush...
Hush... to ... rush...
Teardrops held long tumble thunder
listless from her eyes
of rest and quiet
yet, her steady voice whispers
a storm...

Head... to ... toe
Head... to ... toe
Forlorn rose maiden exhaled-
cyclic shudders: wells of regret
like a ruined garden where blossoms frown,
green leaves too, turned brown.

Sun... to... rain...
Sun... to... rain...
Her life blossomed
amidst earthquake break of failures,
true love she finally receive--
it pardoned her wrongs.

Sighs... to... groans...
Sighs... to... groans...
Bright twinkling stars
tended safe the narrow path
as silhouetted liquid moon cajoles
her long bittersweet escape.

Kiss... to ... freedom...
Kiss... to ... freedom...
Her heartstrings strum endless:
her abounding joy!
Upon hopeful eyes mirror,
the sparkles of her infants tears...

Premium Member Surprises Are Waiting

We all need purpose to get up each day
To combat the negatives, send them away
Most days are good
As we hope they would
But surprises are waiting to our dismay

Life Is Indeed Full of Surprises

Life is indeed full of surprises..

Life is so huge to understand
It pricks us to cry, and lulls us to smile
Yesterday, we were full of love
Today, we helplessly fall out of love
It buoys us up to make the most of it
And be the best of everything
It is an endless maze, and faith is the only
banner of direction to destination
A gamble that we sometimes recklessly bet
Win or lose,we are up ready to try it again
A lesson, we ,most of the time, forget,
We do the same mistake, we learn and relearn
A pain, we get over with and yet, we find ourselves
being hurt again..
A trust, we willingly give away, but once
deceived, we can hardly give it back.
We build and rebuild it..
We sacrifice, we need to, to complete
ourselves through our loved ones' success
We hope like a persistent gale, failure may be
at hand, but we just don't stop hoping..
A choice that always begets struggle
to make us strong and be humble
We dream. We need an effort to believe in it
to get through and live through.
If life is so flickery to handle, then I must hold on to
the truth that I still live and live...

Premium Member Christmas Surprises

One winter long long ago
It was our first year together
My husband
God bless his heart
Decided he’d go shopping
You guessed it
'Twas Christmas eve.

We’ll say up front
The man’s on crutches
And despises shopping
To the nth degree
But off he went
Into a small pharmacy
Loaded up his cart

Imagine my surprise
On Christmas morn
When I was handed a
Jumbo Christmas stocking
Everything individually wrapped

Aspirin, tums, soap
Throat lozenges
A battery-operated toothbrush
And so much more
But what I remember most vividly
Was my twelve year supply
Of pink Lady Schick razors

That hint of disappointment
Didn’t last too long
For now this wife
Is best buds with Santa Claus
No matter what else
May hide under the Christmas tree
Every year since
There have always been
Delightfully wrapped surprises
Greeted Christmas day
With the loudest and cheeriest
“ Thank you,
Thank you, Santa. ”

And that's how Christmas
Was saved over in our household
The moral of the story being
We should never count on others
To make us happy
When we are pleasantly surprised
That's just bonus

I love winter and
Everything about Christmas
Always have
Always will
It's never been
About presents
But more about
The holiday cheer
And the love that bonds us
To our loved ones

Surprises

Surprises

La bouche mousse
Le cœur s’émoustille
Ce qui est long
Paraît interminable
Ce qui est prêt
Devient inaccessible
Comme la vie est pleine
De surprises!
Et qui sait de quoi
Demain sera fait. Sire !

Little Surprises

May is mild and colorful,
dilly landscapes invite
for a stroll amid trees;
greet the sonorous robins
and the gentle butterflies.

There's no quitter place
than a forest towards dusk
as flashes of light die out
and young leaves lose sheer,
all flowers seem unhappy.

I'm unhappier than they are
leaving all these wonders
that captivate and thrill;
I look around curiously
and find little surprises.

Life's Surprises

winter turns to spring ~
I peel back the onion's layers
on the edge of a smile

Premium Member A Night of Surprises

As the sun sets and the moon rises,
hearts are filled with love and fire.
The night is sure to be full of surprises;
bodies teeming with passion and desire.

Hearts are filled with love and fire
as the couple makes their way upstairs.
Bodies teeming with passion and desire;
hoping to create a memory that’s theirs.

As the couple makes their way upstairs
intent on fulfilling the urgent call;
hoping to create a memory that’s theirs,
a stirring is heard from down the hall.

Intent on fulfilling the urgent call;
hoping to allow desires to conclude;
a stirring is heard from down the hall;
the baby’s cry interrupts the mood.

Hoping to allow desires to conclude,
the night is sure to be full of surprises;
the baby’s cry interrupts the mood
as the sun sets and the moon rises.

Premium Member Money Does Not Bring

Money does not bring true happiness,
This does not exist. Money releases and smoothes
The daily burdens and responsibilities;
It is a relief that diminishes the worries.

Being healthy is the ultimate state of happiness;
Being wealthy is the hollow state of happiness.
The concerns of securities show-up on the screen,
Attack the consciousness, and destroy the spleen.

The fear of death makes it impossible to enjoy life fully.
Money is a well made-up chameleon, a toxic honey.
Money vanishes deceitfully and consistently like hot air balloon.

Money is full of surprises; it is indeed a well disguised buffoon.
Relax, do not live beyond the means; be simple and natural.
Be relevant, normal, more spiritual and less emotional.

Premium Member On Disliking Surprises

Often when someone catches me unaware
It seems an intrusion that I least expected
Makes me wary of surprises, I must declare
Most of the time, I prefer to be neglected.

It seems an intrusion that I least expected
I had already made plans for what I’d do
Most of the time, I prefer to be neglected,
Surprisers fail to consider the other shoe.

I had already made plans for what I’d do
Oh, I know they have the best of intentions,
Surprisers fail to consider the other shoe.
Still, I try to avoid disdain, I must mention.

Oh, I know they have the best intentions
Those who get a kick out of surprising me
Still, I try to avoid disdain, I must mention,
Being surprised doesn’t fill me with glee.

Those who get a kick out of surprising me
Makes me wary of surprises, I must declare
Still, I try to avoid disdain, I must mention
Often when someone catches me unaware.

More Surprises To Come

More Surprises to Come

More surprises to come there soon will be
After taking a good look at you and me
And our wives who are with much beauty
For lunch will have pies that they call cutie.

When we drink tea how big will be the spot?
And if women have stuff seeming so hot
Which features do they have that do redeem?
How high will they hold all of their self-esteem?

Did you know in Seville there is a barbarian
Who love books and likes a great librarian
Down all of the many paths of books was led
Some covers were worn out and started to shred.

Each page of book I now skim and not skip a
Ended up discovering a delightful dilemma
On internet two new people we have found
And both wife and I are Great Britain bound.

All of my wife's plans are well-laid
Where we will have stayed and Phase II
of my great poetry escapade.

Premium Member Surprises In Thankfulness

The first red of dawn reveals lacy waves.
The last purple shuts down busy with lights.
Many days alike yet may feature kites
and I wonder how many our mind saves.

Somewhere relatives I kissed, hugged wander
make the same meals, crochet like my grandma
so busily paint, , nail or speak too raw
I escape to ride on a moon lander.

But every massage of kittens who purr
invites like moon eclipse, webs with dew drops
and I thank all beginnings, ends and props
because love and nature are potent lures.
